Jesus told Nicodemus...

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
[5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The gospel of Mark says...

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved.

Nicodemus asked, how can a man enter into his mothers womb and be born again?

He had no idea that Jesus was speaking of mans natural birth, by water through woman, and that the spiritual birth through Christ must added to that to be born-again.

Born-again is a spiritual birth, as Paul said that takes place in the heart. Jesus was showing Nicodemus that this birth must be added to the natural birth.

They still have a chance to be judged according to their works as compared to the Law of God per Rev 20 at the white throne judgement.

Anybody that desires to be Judged for their “ Works”, thinking that is how they will Be Justified before a Holy God will be damned.....that will be the Fate of ALL of those that go to the White Throne Judgement .....it’s the Destination for Unbelievers....

Jesus took “ my” Judgement *FOR* me at the Cross...He got my sins and in turn I got His Righteousness —- it’s the best deal in the Universe! Jesus took the Judgement for The Sins Of everybody when He was on the Cross .....All one has to do is to “ Cash - In “ on what Jesus Already accomplished with His Finished Work at the Cross......so how does a Lost Sinner “ Cash-In?” .....by RESTING in Paul’s Gospel—— you can find it in 2Cor15:1-4.....( make sure that you don’t ADD to it)

And that is what is happening in this thread, some are adding to the finished work of Christ on the Cross by making a ceremony performed by man equal with the Blood of Christ for salvation.

I have said it before and will say it again, it is a slap in the face of the Father!

Adding to the finished work of Christ on the Cross for the redemption of man is saying that His work was not enough, I must add this or that to it, in this case, water baptism.

It is blasphemy before a Holy God, and He will not accept it!

The devils also simply believe and tremble.

You saved them with your gospel of anti-baptism.

The only thing that differentiates mankind with the devil is baptism.

Mankind can be baptized upon believing.

Yet ANOTHER Ignorant “take” on Scripture.... it’s a common one so I’m happy to see that it is not NEARLY as uniquely crazy as your other Nonsense....

What exactly IS it that the devils believe? Read the Entire passage....They merely believe that is ONE GOD—- whoopee! God demands FAITH! It did not take any Faith to Believe what the demons saw with their own eyes!
Most ancient civilizations believed in Hundreds of God’s! Some people though that they were Hot Stuff because they realized that there was only One God....the verse is telling people that believing in just One God is better than believing in many gods, butvit ain’t no big deal—- even the devils believe it...

What the demons did “ NOT” Believe was that Jesus Died for their sins....and THAT Believing is what gets a man saved.....Had they turned to Jesus( repentance) with FAITH in Him, they “May” have had a chance, theoretically.......”Without Faith , it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God”..... they are excluded from having any Faith....it takes NO Faith to Believe in things that you have seen....and the demons have seen everything....they have Especially seen and thereby know that there is One God....big deal.

I am truly humbled for such a kind response. May the Lord bless you and keep you in the fight.

Phil. 3:13-14

"Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

I know a middleaged christian street preacher who's been baptised, but it doesn't seem to have helped him, he's got two failed marriages behind him; he's been hauled up court twice for not paying his poll tax, and his electricity and phone have been cut off at various times for not paying the bills.
Also the RSPCA took his cat away for rehousing because he was neglecting it.
It's as if his brain has turned to mush because he thinks he's guaranteed salvation simply because he's been baptised, and goes through life without lifting a finger to get himself organised.
That's the danger of baptism, it leaves some people open to the demon of arrogance, thinking they can do no wrong.
I quoted these verses to him and told him to pull himself together, but only time will tell if he acts on them-

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of selfdiscipline" (2 Timothy 1:7)
"..that you may stand firm in all the will of God, mature and fully assured" (Colossians 4:12)

Jesus was showing Nicodemus that this birth must be added to the natural birth.

.
Let's take a look...

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

You have turned it into this...

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water(amniotic fluid, because EVERYONE has already done that) and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The "born of the Spirit" parallels with "born of water" in the new birth. A person once born has physical life, a person twice born has eternal life. Nicodemus did not understand this, but he's not the only one!

Nowhere did Jesus tie in water baptism to "born of water." It simply is not found, it is an invention of man.

You now have changed this into...

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water(Spirit) and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Charlie24 is correct and you are not. Jesus was talking about two births: natural ("water") and spiritual. Baptism is not birth, it is burial.

Romans 6:4, "Therefore we have been buried with him through baptism into death, in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too may live a new life."

Ok, user! God will let you see it the way you want.

I'll argue no further.

Clearly you don't understand what "parallel" means. If something has a parallel, it is similar to something else, but exists or happens in a different place or at a different time."

I'm afraid BB is correct! They don't want to understand. They have closed their eyes and stopped their ears.

Your perverted water gospel horse is dead. Faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 15:8,9; 16:31; 26:18) *Perfect Harmony*

You need to place your faith in the Savior God, not the water god.
Acts 2:38 is a perverted water God?

Yikes.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

It ain't the “ dispensationalism” —- it’s your failure to write in a normal, intelligent manner...
I did not want to overwhelm you with sctiptures since you cannot even comprehend this...

Lost cable and internet last night around 8pm, just got it back. Had a rough storm, tore up some stuff around here.

John's baptism was not in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy spirit, it couldn't be, Christ had not yet died for mans sin and risen from the grave.

John's baptism was calling for repentance, looking for the coming Messiah. John told the people the Messiah was in the mist of us, repent and look to Him.

This is how all the Old Testament saints were saved, faith in the coming Messiah. They found salvation by faith in looking forward to His coming, we in the New Testament look back by faith in the crucified Messiah. Salvation is and always has been faith in Christ.

Since John's baptism could not be the New testament baptism, Paul had them baptized in the name of the Lord.

Being baptized in the water represented the believers union with the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. He has taken part in that death, burial, and resurrection with Christ by faith, and now a new man in Christ, born-again.
Almost perfect, but not quite.

...we in the New Testament look back by faith in the crucified Messiah. Salvation is and always has been faith in Christ.

Add baptism to faith....

16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved....

Busted? Lol.....in your dreams....

Romans 10:9 is written to tell people how to get Saved....YOU figure it out.....it’s kinda obvious to anybody with a brain...
Nowhere is their even a “ hint” of your Silly Assertion...

If this even “ was” an “ affirmation” that these people were already saved and had done everything right for Salvation, how come there is no mention of your precious Baptism?

Once again, it is YOU that got Busted....
The book of Romans was written to sinners?
