I speak the truth -- in English.

Why do you consider a 411-year-old translation to be anything worth reading when so many excellent modern translations are available? Is it because you persist in redefining what Scripture actually means?
And as he thus spake for himself, TRUTHER said with a loud voice, JIM, thou art beside thyself; much TRANSLATIONS doth make thee mad.

You definitely didn't come from Acts 2.

Oh yes I did. I was saved sitting in that pew (repent), that is when my sins were washed away by the the Blood of Christ.

I was immediately water baptized after the service, (calling on the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit) in public confession of what happened sitting in that pew.

I was baptized into Christ by the Holy Spirit sitting in that pew the instant I seen I was a sinner in need of a Saviour, and accepted Christ as such. Just as Paul baptized into Christ lying there on the road to Damascus when he surrendered to Christ.

.

And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.

Now according to you, we stop here because Paul is now saved and believing in JESUS!

Let's read on, and find out what happens...

Ananias is the one in the city, which said unto Paul, "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord."

WHAT has been abandoned, done away with, revised, translated, interpreted and ignored by so called " christendom" is.......

John 20:20-23 v.22
And when he had said this, HE BREATHED ON THEM,AND SAITH UNTO THEM, RECEIVE YE THE HOLY GHOST:

Acts 2: 1-4
v .4
And THEY WERE ALL....FILLED.... WITH THE HOLY GHOST, AND BEGAN TO SPEAK WITH.....OTHER TONGUES...., AS THE SPIRIT GAVE THEM UTTERANCE.

All righteousness must be fulfilled as Jesus said at his own water baptism. John ,however, said ""one with the greater baptism than water baptism is coming after me of whom I AM NOT worthy.""

This neglects our walk with God if we ignore or discount the HS baptism more than water baptism ever could. To neglect this baptism puts in peril the journey, for it regulates his [ HS ] functions to N/ A or not needed!

.
When he breathed on them to receive the Holy Ghost is not when they were filled with the Holy Ghost.

John 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

This is what happened after he was glorified...

Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
[2] And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
[3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

NET translator's note on Acts 22:16, "The expression have your sins washed away means “have your sins purified” (the washing is figurative). Not literal!

Already discussed this. The salvation and washing away of the sins of Paul took place on the road to Damascus by the the Blood of Christ.

The water baptism is the visual of what took place in the heart of Paul when he was baptized into Christ. This is what Ananias was referring to.

In actuality, Ananias was telling Paul to go show us your sins are washed away, go prove your faith in Christ.

Paul's use of "baptized into Christ" means exactly that, baptized into Christ, not water. Baptism into Christ is a spiritual act of the Holy Spirit that takes place in the heart the very moment you believe. The Holy Spirit spiritually baptizes you into Christ, not in water.

If you can't believe that only the Blood of Christ can cleanse sin, you are being deceived.

Nowhere in scripture will you find that the Blood is applied during water baptism.

That is a lie from the RCC.

Sorry Charlie, but your commentary is NOT what the scriptures say.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved

LOL, that is your reading in the Blood is applied in water baptism.

It does not say that!

It says "and he who believes not will be damned." It does not say "and he who is not water baptized will be damned."

You skipped Acts 2:38.

You are not of the 3000.

You are of a different group.

This group opposes Acts 2:38.

They are called "Acts Skippers".

You need to join Act Skippers Anonymous(ASA) and stay away from those folks that fight Acts.
