Why do our bodies die?
Answer:
The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).
Do we have to keep continually sinning in order to die?
No. Adam and Eve just committed sin one time each and death came upon them and the whole human race.
Romans 5:12 says,
“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:”
But is this always the case? No.
Enoch did not die because he pleased God.
Hebrews 11:5
“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”
Also, those who are taken up in the Rapture while they are still alive will also not see death.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.”
Obviously those who are faithful and who please God are the ones who will not see death.
If a person sins or they justify sin: Are they pleasing God and are they being faithful?
I don’t believe so based on the testimony of God’s Word.
