I came across Acts 18:5 in NRSV that says Proclaiming the word, testifying to the Jews, that the Messiah was Jesus. Is there any other verse that states what proclaiming the word means?
(1Co 1:4) I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus,
(1Co 1:5) that in every way you were enriched in him
in all speech and all knowledge—
(1Co 1:6) even as the
testimony about Christ was confirmed among you—
(1Co 2:1) And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come
proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom.
(1Co 2:2) For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
(1Co 2:3) And I was with you in weakness and in fear and much trembling,
(1Co 2:4) and
my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in
demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
(1Co 2:5) so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the
power of God.
(Act 18:5) When Silas and Timothy arrived from Macedonia, Paul was
occupied with the word, testifying to the Jews that the
Christ was Jesus.
The bolded text amplify what the preoccupation and the proclamation of the word and of the Spirit of God means in Acts 18:5
