If you could read you would see that many here agree with me. But since you only read selectively...you only see yourself...and those you agree with. You do the same thing when you read the bible. You only see the text agreeing with you. You do not see the judgment coming.

I think you should read the bible and stop with the vain reasoning.

You know what idee fixe is? Neurosis?

All these things get in the way of reading comprehension never mind revelation from God.
...and you are the only one who, like Paul, has received direct eidus from Yeshua? You made an aliyah into the Shomayim?

...something like---By Emunah Chanoch was taken up, was translated, not to see mavet, V'EINENNU KI LAKACH OTO ELOHIM--yet you "came" back?

What does "seated in heavenly" places mean to you? Why don't you criticize Paul for being a religious nut? Because you allow a religious bent to alter your reasoning? But then you change your balances as you wish...to agree with whatever puffs you up?

Do you know what honesty is? How about integrity? Look them up...

What do you make of this scripture?

“…if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?” (1 Peter 4:18)
Hey bro! The righteous are accepted...but not into the city...they go to the nations. They do not see God...they are ruled over by the saints. So they are saved but not ABUNDANTLY saved...like the saints. So they are saved by the skin of their teeth, as it were...or...scarcely saved.

Do you see the WAYS of God with the distinction between what is acceptable and what is pleasing to Him?

You would have to do a deeper study...including the Septuagint..where Peter cites that statement from...

Do you know where 1 Pet. 4:18 comes from in the OT?

By whom? And saved to what? Use reading comprehension skills here...

Are you saying that God condemns the righteous? Back it up. Find out how God sees the righteous. Read the bible. Put in the time. Take the words of God seriously.

Put your ego aside. God resists the proud.

AHA. You want to filter the bible through a religiously infected mind. Believe what you want. Be a Pharisee.

More vain conjecture. You have no understanding of the ways of God. Please stop brainstorming out loud...people can hear you.
I think you should read the bible and stop with the vain reasoning.

It hasn't escaped my notice that whenever you feel backed up against a wall and proven wrong you begin to lash out with accusations. I'm the only one who knows my life and so I know when you are accusing me falsely, so by that alone I know you are not hearing from the Lord.

But why such a strong need to lash out.....all you have to do is change your mind.....God is not a harsh taskmaster that he would refuse someone's repentance and refuse to graciously forgive. On the contrary, a humble and contrite heart he will not despise. I'm sure we've all been wrong at times and corrected and tweeked by the Lord at different times on the journey. I know I have. Better to do it now than later when it is too late. I'm saying this only out of concern.

Yes, those found written in the book of life.

The others will go into everlasting punishment in the lake of fire.
Yes, in the second resurrection and the GWT.

There are 3 books that mankind is judged from. Or...books and another book (3)

Do you know what they are?

What scripture do you base this on?

Do you know where 1 Pet. 4:18 comes from in the OT?

This one relates well with it:

“…when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.” (Ezekiel 18:24)

Whenever I get confronted with carnal reasoning and Pharisaical pride, I correct, and rebuke.
I'm the only one who knows my life and so I know when you are accusing me falsely, so by that alone I know you are not hearing from the Lord.

OK...follow your way.
But why such a strong need to lash out.....all you have to do is change your mind.....God is not a harsh taskmaster that he would refuse someone's repentance and refuse to graciously forgive.

You have no idea of the judgment that awaits the hypocrites. You have relegated the wrath of God to unbelievers..and you will be completely blindsided....weeping and gnashing about. Many will be SHOCKED on that day. But these have refused correction time and again...until God gives them over to a religiously reprobate mind...such as you are displaying.
On the contrary, a humble and contrite heart he will not despise.

Learn from this...

You should follow your own advice, and not underestimate how much more deeply you need to change your ways.

Peace

The Bible doesn’t tell us what they are.

“The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever…” (Deuteronomy 29:29)

If I missed something in the holy scriptures regarding those other books please enlighten me.

What scripture do you base this on?

Not one scripture..but MANY that connect up to say something much bigger. If you start a thread on it...I will contribute. Do you know what the difference is between the Bride of Christ, and the guests (the bad and good) who are invited to attend?

God hides His ways....but it is the honour of kings to search them out.

That's the law of righteousness.

But there is an EXACT verse in the Septuagint.

Prov. 11:31 which reads

εἰ ὁ μὲν δίκαιος μόλις σῴζεται ὁ ἀσεβὴς καὶ ἁμαρτωλὸς ποῦ φανεῖται

Translation...

Proverbs 11:31 (LXX)

31 If the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

I'd like to hear you comment on why it was necessary for Jesus to go preach to the spirits in the place of the dead? Two of us here brought this up at the same time. It's not carnal reasoning, it is bible. Why was it so necessary that those souls meet Jesus and hear the gospel?

Revelation 20:15 - And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Revelation 21:27 - And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Mal. 3: 16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.

Oh yes, I do remember reading about that once when I was gleaning some information on translations…

But what’s the point in bring this up?
The Septuagint gives more insight into how the early church saw righteousness. There are still MANY verses that declare life to the righteous....but the Septuagint is much clearer on that then our modern bibles.

For instance it says..."The ways of the righteous are acceptable before the Lord." Prov. 15:28 (in a verse that is twice as long as in the MSS...revealing more insight.)

“The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” (Isaiah 61:1)

When Christ returns those meek shall reign with Him on earth a thousand years.
exactly , the MEEK are those who FOLLOWED CHRIST they believed in HIM .
Epi seems to make it seem like clark kents meekness is truth . Its not . Buddists can appear very righteous , very humble
very full of doing good , but they aint saved . They follow their own path to what they think is god .
Muslims and others can do good things , Even i could and yet i was LOST in my SIN .
We must procliam the glorious life saving , life changing gospel of Christ .
