When will the "sudden destruction" from which "they will not escape" referenced in 1 Thess 5:2-3 occur and what is the scope of it?

This was an unbelievably weak response. Why did you not address anything that he said in his post? I have to assume it's because you can't. You'd rather believe what you want to believe instead of considering the points that he made in his post that you are apparently unable to refute.

Right. The body will put on immortality. At the last trumpet. What is hard to understand about this? You even said it yourself right here and you still deny it will happen in the future. Unbelievable.
Because putting on immortality is not receiving an immortal body. No such thing as bodily immortality, as that is Satan's Greek mythology.

Paul is saying death is putting on life, to be exact. Mortal = death and immortality = not death. But it is more than remaining in death. We don't take death with us into heaven. So Paul is saying something besides what you are saying. It is unbelievable that you stick with Greek mythological terms, instead of understanding what Paul is actually saying. Paul is saying the soul puts on an incorruptible body, and the incorruptible body puts on the spirit.

Only those alive on earth have to do both. Those in Paradise who Jesus brings with Him only have to put on the spirit, the symbolic robe of white in the 5th Seal.

Yes, all of Adam's flesh has to be changed. But those in Paradise since the Cross, 1993 years ago, already have the physical resurrection body, because they could not enter Paradise until it was made physically possible, which was the physical act of the Cross. Certainly God could have let souls into Paradise at the time of the Flood, but that was not the plan. Certainly God could declare it over at the Second Coming and no millennium kingdom on earth, but that is not the plan. Souls waited in Abraham's bosom for almost 4,000 years. Then souls with bodies have waited in Paradise for almost 2,000 years. Now glorified redeemed, with soul, body, and spirit will still wait the last 1,000 years, until Jesus accomplishes the kingdom on earth, to hand all of creation back to God.

Unsound, unbiblical speach coming from you.

"Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen."

But someone will say, “How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?”
Foolish one, what you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain.
But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.

>> "Now as to the periods and times, brothers and sisters, you have no need of anything to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord is coming just like a thief in the night. NASB
Other versions say "seasins and times".
Seasons and times = Day of the Lord
His wrath occurs over many days. Certainly the Rapture is in an instant.
A day is usually a 24 hour period. The Day of the Lord is a period of time when His will is fully realized by all. Throughout history, many do not believe in Him, nor yield to His will. They live the own way, every day is theirs. But in the Day of the Lord, everyone will realize the Lord.
When he said that, he was including the periods and times leading up to the day of the Lord. The day of the Lord very clearly involves global destruction, which is made abundantly clear in 2 Peter 3:10-13. How long do you think it will take the Lord to destroy the earth with fire? Why would that take longer than a 24 hour day? That makes no sense.

Yes. Rev. 20 distinguushes the dirat resurrection with the second death. Rev. 20:13-15and Rev. 21:8 is the same event as 2 Pet. 3:10
No, 2 Peter 3:10 is not talking about people being cast into the lake of fire. It's talking about physical destruction that occurs just before the judgment occurs when people are cast into the lake of fire.

Of course my post was sound, as you never pointed out how it was not sound.

I posted there was a resurrection from the dead at the Cross.

God does give the soul a permanent incorruptible physical body in Paradise.

2 Corinthians 5:1

Paul was using metaphor to a society that was agricultural. You don't think Adam's dead corruptible flesh is a literal plant seed, do you?

Paul told what and where that body is and comes from.

"we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens."

Do you think Adam's dead flesh is a plant seed that comes out of the ground as a building?

Here is the passage I'm referencing with some surrounding verses for context:

1 Thess 4:14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. ?

What Bible version are you Quoting which says……”that God will bring with Jesus”
and ending with a question mark?

1 Thes 4: (KJV)
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
“him is God”.

The following passage also makes it very clear that all of the dead in Christ will be resurrected AT THE SAME TIME.
No one is denying that ALL of the DEAD IN Christ are “CAUGHT UP” (modern term Raptured) at the SAME TIME.

1 Thessalonians 4:. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.

The Lord himself…
Descends FROM Heaven….TO WHERE?
(To the clouds)

[15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

We, which ARE ALIVE and REMAIN…WHERE?
(EARTH)
What about THEM alive and ON EARTH?
(THEY have NOTHING TO DO with THE Lord descending from Heaven TO the Clouds, and the DEAD IN CHRIST, being CAUGHT UP TO THE CLOUDS).
17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.
AFTER, the Lord himself, has descended FROM Heaven TO the CLOUDS and caught up TO Him (the Lord) the DEAD IN CHRIST
THEN the Lord himself, catches UP TO Him, the ALIVE IN CHRIST.
BOTH the bodily DEAD IN CHRIST and the bodily ALIVE IN CHIRST…are CAUGHT UP TO THE CLOUDS, to MEET the Lord, who HAS DESCENDED FROM HEAVEN TO THE CLOUDS.
How do you reconcile your view with what Paul taught here? He indicates here very clearly that one day "the Lord himself will come down from heaven"

How? By NOT OMITTING the FACT (as you have done)….THE FACT IS, the WHOLE WORLD SHALL SEE THE Lords RETURN “TO EARTH”…..The FACT IS, ONLY those IN CHRIST are CAUGHT UP to MEET THE Lord IN the CLOUDS/AIR….which IS ABOVE the Earth.

and then "the dead in Christ will rise first". That means the dead in Christ will be resurrected
Scriptural UNDERSTANDING OF “resurrection”….IS raising a dead body ON Earth, FROM Dead ON EARTH, TO RESUMING LIFE, ON EARTH.

The Lord Himself IS NOT “resurrecting”, NOT raising DEAD body’s ON Earth, to Resume LIVING ON Earth.

The Lord Himself “IS” raising Dead and Living BODYS (IN Christ) UP to the CLOUDS!

all at the same time when the Lord descends from heaven. After the dead in Christ rise then we who are still alive will be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air. Very simple.

Convoluted, when you change or omit the Language.

The Lord himself, descends from Heaven TO the Clouds, (as you omit.)

The Lord himself, (not God) raises UP to him (TO the CLOUDS) the Dead IN CHRIST.

The Lord himself, (not God) raises UP to him (TO the CLOUDS) the ALIVE IN CHRIST.

That is not a Resurrection, of the DEAD being raised up from their graves TO the Earth.

WHO IS “the dead and alive” IN CHRIST?
ANY MAN dead or alive, WHO has BEEN BAPTIZED with the HOLY SPIRIT.

(They are call IN Christ, Converted IN Christ, SAV-ED, Born AGAIN, Christ’s Church, Saints, Christ IN them.)

What about BELIEVERS WHO themselves, ARE alive or Have DIED….
Believing IN Jesus? who BELIEVE Jesus Lived on Earth, Jesus Died on Earth and God Raised Jesus Up to resume Living ON Earth?

ARE THEY “IN” Christ? No.
ARE THEY “raised UP by the Lord TO the Clouds, WITH those “IN” Christ? No.

Oh no….Worry, Worry….are they who BELIEVED “IN JESUS”, but did NOT CONFESS He is the Son of God, BE DOOMED? No.
Will those who bodily DIED, believing IN JESUS, be sent to hell? No.
Will those who are bodily LIVING, believing IN JESUS, be KILLED during the Tribulation?
Some Yes, Some No.

No need to WORRY ABOUT THOSE “IN JESUS”, who have DIED, “IN JESUS”…..

WHY NOT?

Because, by the Word of the Lord, God shall Bring “THEM” (in Jesus) with Him (God).

1 Thes 4:
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep (DEAD) in Jesus will God bring with him.

WHEN?
After Christ’s 1,000 yr reign, reigning WITH those IN CHRIST…

During Gods First Resurrection of the REST of the bodily dead Believers IN God, IN Jesus, in their graves ON EARTH, (who all died Believing IN God, IN Jesus) are risen UP IN their new body’s, to a new earth, with a Saved soul, and Quickened spirit, to FOREVER be ALIVE WITH the Lord God Almighty.

Rev 20:
[4] And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them:
(Them ^ IN Christ)

and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus,
(Them…KILLED, soul saved, BECAUSE they bodily DIED, BELIEVING “IN JESUS”.)

and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
(Them NOT KILLED, but remained ALIVE, Keeping, Believing the Word of God and denying the Beast)

^^^ THEM not killed BELIEVERS IN “the Word of God” (who BTW IS JESUS)….remained ALIVE and continued their MORTAL LIFE,
reigning WITH Christ…<—-KING
Ie MORTAL kings of the worlds nations!
KING Christ…and mortal kings….ALL…
Believers IN the WORD OF GOD!

[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
(Rest of THE DEAD….the DEAD WHO?
The DEAD who bodily DIED, during the tribulation, BELIEVING “IN”…..the WORD of God….(WHO IS?….JESUS)….

The REST of the DEAD, IN Jesus, ARE “resurrected” BY God….AFTER the millennial Reign.

Follow the ORDER and WAY of God…
Without omitting crucial FACTS…Without changing the LANGUAGE….and you will arrive at the TRUTH.

The Lord descends to the CLOUDS.
The Lord rises UP to Him, those dead and alive IN CHRIST.

God Saves SOME mortal men (called a remnant) alive who ARE IN Jesus, during the Tribulation.

SOME mortal men IN Jesus, during the Tribulation ARE KILLED. AND God Saves THEIR soul, AND GOD Raises UP their body FROM their grave, “in glory” TO the Earth during the First RESURRECTION. AFTER “CHRIST’S millennial reign”….WHEN Christ is reigning WITH:
Those IN Christ (raised immortal and forever BY the Lord and WITH the Lord wherever He IS) and Those (on Earth Remaining living mortals) IN Jesus NOT bodily killed during the Tribulation.

Gods ORDER and WAY is paramount KNOWLEDGE.
The Lord raises (from the earth to the clouds) the living and the dead IN CHRIST.
Rapture ^^ from earth to clouds.

God raises those IN JESUS (dead IN the earth to the face of the earth).
First Resurrection ^^from grave on earth to face of the earth.

(And BTW…Second/Last Resurrection…applies to those NOT in Christ, NOT in Jesus, raised from their graves….to hell (where their living souls are waiting to be returned to their dead body’s)….
TO: SEE the Judge…Bow Down and Worship (that which they SEE)
TO: receive their Sentence (From the Evidence IN “the” opened books.)
TO: have thereafter, the LIFE in their soul, (which is Gods Breath, Return to God)
TO: thereafter their lifeless body, and lifeless soul (forever separated from God) burned in the lake of fire, and remembered no more.

Agree.
A “resurrection” in Scripture IS ALWAYS…
A dead body ON Earth, resuming its life, ON Earth.

And several Examples of “resurrections” are recorded IN Scripture. Of Jesus and mortal men.

The “rapture” is not defined as a “resurrection”.
The “rapture” is raising Dead and Alive Mortal Bodys FROM the Earth, to the CLOUDS, in immortal body’s.

While Paul and others raised the dead back into mortal bodies of death, Jesus starting with Lazarus raised them into God's permanent incorruptible body. That is why the Pharisees rejected Jesus and this type of Ressurection. They were so blinded in their belief that they wanted to kill Jesus and save their own hides (from the Romans).

All those in Paradise have been resurrected into newness of life. They have put on that permanent incorruptible body. They will meet us in the air. Unless one here passes on to Paradise in the mean time. Paul expected to be alive at that point, but there have been millions already gathered there since the first century.

At the Second Coming all will be glorified. So there literally will not be a resurrection at the rapture. But those already there will meet us halfway as a stage for all to see on earth what they all missed out on by rejecting Jesus. Those on earth should be prepared for the trib and literally all sheol to break out on earth. But they won't be, because if they were, they would not still be on earth.

BTW that is the 5th and 6th Seal events. Jesus and the angels will continue on down to earth. Jesus upon the mount of Olives will part the land literally and make a level plain of Jerusalem and the surrounding area for miles. That is per Zechariah 14.

Daniel ch12
At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting [a]contempt.
3Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.

The First Resurrection at Christ's Coming is unto Immortal Glorified Bodies - After that is the Rapture for the Same
1 Thess 4:13-18
1 Cor ch15

Rapture ~ (BEFORE Tribulation)
The Lord, Catching up Dead and Alive Bodies FROM the earth TO the Clouds IN IMMORTALITY.

First Resurrection ~ (AFTER Tribulation)
God, Raising up Dead Bodies ON Earth, IN their graves, TO the face of the EARTH IN IMMORTALITY.

Second Resurrection ~ (AFTER Tribulation)
God, Raising up Dead Bodies ON the Earth, IN their graves, TO IN the Earth (Hell)…
(for judgement, and eternal separation sentence)

The Lord “Raptures”….(BODIES) FROM the EARTH…catching up…..TO the CLOUDS…
In IMMORTALITY.
(Thereafter where the Lord is, goes, so also do “those” Bodies with Him. In the clouds, and thereafter ON earth.)

God “Resurrects”….(BODIES) FROM (DEAD ON the Earth or DEAD buried IN the Earth)…TO the Face of the EARTH, in IMMORTALITY.
(Thereafter “those” Bodies are Forever WITH GOD, ON EARTH, who Himself Comes DOWN from Heaven, (WHEN prophecy IS Fulfilled, New Heavens, New earth, New Jerusalem, (barrier between Heaven and Earth opened and )Earth is AS it is IN Heaven.)
And the Lord God Almighty IS God “OF” every Angel and every ManKIND.
( Because THEN, IS ONLY, holy Angels and holy ManKIND (who Freely exercised their FREEWILL to expressly CHOOSE the Lord God Almighty, BE their God.) IS He THEN expressly THEIR GOD….without the presence of ALL fallen angels and ALL fallen manKind…who rejected the Lord God Almighty….
Fallen angels, will forever be remembered.
Fallen manKIND, will forever be forgotten.

WHY, the Difference, IN WHO raises, and WHEN?

Because
there IS A Difference OF WHO (manKIND) and WHEN manKIND….
WILLINGLY Gives “HIS BODY unto DEATH” for the Lord God Almighty.

WHO…IN Christ, willingly GIVE their BODY unto DEATH (crucified with Jesus), ARE souls saved, ARE spirit quickened, ARE bodily dead…..and ARE accounted WHOLE
(Body, soul, spirit)….FULLY Justified.

WHO…Believers IN the Lord God….DID NOT willingly GIVE their BODY unto DEATH (crucified with Jesus), ARE NOT soul saved, ARE NOT spirit quickened, ARE NOT accounted WHOLE….UNTIL their BODY physically DIES…(and they during the tribulations….WILLINGLY give their mortal body unto Death FOR God….called martyred…and BECOME “soul saved”…”spirit quickened”….
Their saved soul, quickened spirit rises to Heaven. Their dead body WAITS for Gods First resurrection, To raise their body IN Immortality, and their saved soul and quickened spirit returns to their immortal body….NOW they ARE WHOLE…and forever WITH the Lord God Almighty.

1 Thes 5:
[23] And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

There is no scripture that declares a rapture BEFORE the Resurrection - not one!!!

1 Thess 3:13 - "so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints."

Who are these Saints?

the Holy Spirit irrefutably defines for us who these Saints are = 1 Thess 4:13-18

But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep/died in Jesus.

For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God.
And the dead in Christ will rise first.
Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Rapture simply means “Caught Up”.
1 Thes 4: 16-17 expressly says:
WHO is risen up.
WHEN they are risen up.
WHO raises them up.
TO WHERE they are risen up.

1 Thes 5:9
WHY “those” expressly “ARE” caught up and by WHOM, and to WHERE.

1 Thess 3:13 - "so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints."

Saints “HEARTS” ARE established HOLY…
WHY? Because they were MADE WHOLE…
Body Dead (remember crucified with Jesus?)
Soul Saved
Spirit Quickened.

What about BELIEVERS, who DID NOT become crucified WITH Jesus ???

Souls “can NOT” become SAV-ED, Spirits “can NOT” become QUICKEN-ED … “UNTIL” a bodily DEATH.

1 Cor 15:

[36] Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

Unsaved, Unquickened BELIEVERS ON EARTH during the Tribulation….THEN give their BODY’S WILLINGLY unto DEATH…and THEN their BODY’s Are KILLED, their souls are SAV-ED, and their spirits QUICKEN-ED, and they WAIT….
FOR WHO and WHAT?
They wait FOR GOD, to Raise UP their bodies in IMMORTALITY.
WHEN?
AFTER Christ Jesus 1,000 year REIGN “WITH” His SAINTS, IN Christ were they MADE WHOLE….died with Jesus, saved, quickened BY Christ Jesus.

THEN, after the 1,000 years reign of Christ Jesus….shall the REST OF THE DEAD….BE Raised BY GOD, called the FIRST RESURRECTION.

IN Christ, ARE WHOLE, (body, soul, spirit) are raised by the Lord to the Clouds,
Called the Rapture.

The MAKING “WHOLE” of Believers During the tribulation are raised by God to the Earth.
Called the First Tribulation…
they ARE…”the rest of the dead”…

Rev 20:
[5] But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Saints ARE the DEAD BODY’S (physically dead and also spiritually crucified with Jesus) savED souls and quickenED spirits OF those DEAD BODIES.

Remember ONE bodily Death IS Required, BEFORE a man can BE soul saved OR Quickened (Born AGAIN).

Gen 5:
[5] And surely your blood of your lives will Irequire; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.

A mans LIFE (BLOOD) must become DEAD, Before that Body’s soul is Saved and the OT men HAD to Physically Die before being Saved.

Remember ^ that was BEFORE Jesus’ New Better Testament?
* Men pledged their Bodily Life, by and through their WORD and ACT of foreskin circumcision, GIVING A (token so to speak), of a portion of their Body unto Death
Remember the NEW BETTER TESTAMENT given BY Jesus?

A Better testament OF ASSURANCE…

Heb 7:
[22] By so much was Jesus made a surety of abetter testament.

A NEW Better Testament IS being “bodily crucified with Jesus, believe that HIS BLOOD given is satisfactory to BE Worthy to “FORGIVE’ and RECEIVE the “COVER” a mans SINS….the COVER IS receiving the HOLY SPIRIT IN the Man…Gods PURE LIGHT that overcomes, MAKES UNSEEN, the mans SIN in his mortal body.
And His body given, and a man Confessing his will to be CRUCIFIED wIth Jesus’ body, is satisfactory to BE Worthy to BE SAVED unto the Lord God Forever.
AND THAT ^ is a man receiving Soul salvation and Spirit quickening (by the Power of God, who IS Christ)….THEN…ONCE and FOREVER. (Even though the whole world can SEE his mortal body still alive)….THE WHOLE world can NOT SEE the change the HS “made” on the INSIDE of that mans body.

Some men confess, Jesus died ON Earth, and God raised Him up back to Life ON Earth.

Has THAT ^ man Received soul salvation, spirit quickening? No.
Why not? Because he DID NOT bodily die…not with Jesus, (spiritually), not physically.
^ That man is STILL alive in his flesh, AND
^ That man is WARNED (evil spirits and wicked men…still have THEIR OPPORTUNITY to convince that man TO STOP BELIEVING “IN JESUS”, that He died and God rose Him up back to living”.
^ That man WHO, falls for evil spirits TEMPTING speech, and falls for wicked men’s TEMPTING speech, TO DENY Jesus Died and God raised Him back to LIFE….
WILL ON THE DAY OF THEIR PHYSICAL DEATH…..NOT be saved or quickened.

DOES such a man…physically DIE…
IN Jesus? (Word of God) No.
IN Christ? (Power of God) No.
IN VAIN? (Separated from the Lord God? Yes

IN Jesus…Believes Jesus died, God raised Him Up….SHALL be saved, once their body is dead and IF their Belief remains…

IF they stop believing before their physical death….they Shall NOT be saved.

IN Christ
…Believes Jesus died, God raised Him Up, Jesus IS the Christ the Son of the Living God….IS SAVED, and shall be called UP BY the Lord, to the clouds, WHOLE, body, soul, spirit, to MEET the Lord in the air….
AND SHALL return to Earth WITH the Lord Jesus….who returns WITH POWER, who IS Christ.

Yes, Scripture does teach the Consequences, of men…

IN Jesus.
IN Christ Jesus.
IN Denial of Jesus.
IN Denial of Christ Jesus.

Glory to God,

What Bible version are you Quoting which says……”that God will bring with Jesus”
and ending with a question mark?
I didn't have a question mark there. Where are you getting that from? I quoted the verse from the NIV if that's what you're asking. But, you added the question mark, not me.

1 Thes 4: (KJV)
[14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
“him is God”.
No, "him" is Jesus. That verse is talking about the souls of the dead in Christ coming with Jesus at His second coming. Their bodies will be changed and they will unite with their changed bodies, and together with those who are alive and remain will meet the Lord "in the air" at that time.

How do you interpret that verse? You think it's saying them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with God. How does that make any sense? What would that even mean?

Disagree.

"the dead in Christ rise first" = RESURRECTION of the DEAD in CHRIST

Not called a resurrection.
Is called ‘Caught up”.
Resurrections have occurred throughout Scripture.
Every time a Resurrection occurred throughout Scripture, A body died ON Earth, and that body was raised back to Life ON Earth…
Being caught up is a body ON Earth being RAISED to the Clouds….NOT Earth.

There is a difference.
Resurrection is a body being raised up in life ON the Earth.
The Clouds is not the Earth.

AFTER that

we who are alive and remain shall be caught UP = Rapture

AFTER that…is the physically alive IN Christ, being raised UP (not to the Earth) but to the clouds.

Even when JESUS was raised up to the Clouds….it was NOT called a “resurrection”.

Nor is it called “a resurrection” when men IN Christ are raised up to the clouds.

v18 = "therefore comfort one another with these words"

This is the exact Order and words of the Lord Jesus Christ

CONTENT of WHAT Scripture applies to WHOM and WHY.

Many men believe, Jesus died and God raised Him up…ALIVE on the Earth…

Few men believe, Jesus died and God raised Him up…..AND….that Jesus is the Christ the Son of the Living God…

There is even an example IN Scripture OF one Roman Soldier in particular….who SAW Jesus KILLED….who SAW Jesus thereafter ALIVE….who EXPRESSLY thereafter…believed AND CONFESSED … Jesus IS the Son of God….

So…was that Roman soldier…saved at that moment? Or did he have to WAIT for his own BODY to physically die, BEFORE receiving salvation?

Why was THAT one Roman soldiers STATEMENT even so important to have it entered into Scripture?

Again, Because of WHAT precisely he confessed….Jesus is the Christ the Son of God…

Do you remember Jesus’ Disciples, following, believing, doubting, believing?
Do you remember Jesus asking His disciple WHO men thought Jesus was?
WHO the disciples thought Jesus was?
NOT one KNEW who Jesus was.
NOT one with Jesus for 3 years daily could answer Jesus’ question of WHO Jesus “IS”.

God TOLD Simon Barjona, WHO Jesus “IS”.
Simon Barjona REPEATED ALOUD what God TOLD him.
THEN did Jesus KNOW, every disciple there KNEW WHO Jesus is….and SO ALSO Did every Disciple confess that IS their Belief….
And what was that IMPORTANT Belief for a man to Confess?

He believes in Jesus, that He died and God Raised Him back to life?
They were witnesses. They saw that. They already believed that.

So No. What Jesus was IMPRESSING was to
BELIEVE:
JESUS IS THE CHRIST, the Son of the Living God.
WHY?
BECAUSE it is that confession of Belief, which IS the very basis for a MAN to be FORGIVEN for not having Believed IN the Lord God Almighty, IS the creator and maker.

BECAUSE it is that confession of Belief, that the HOLY SPIRIT will accept that mans body, as dead, crucified with Jesus, save that mans soul, and quicken that mans spirit….AND Gods SPIRIT enter that man AND KEEP that man by HIS POWER forever WITH the Lord God Almighty.

The ORDER and WAY of God is to hear His Word, believe IN His Word…..continue hearing, continue believing…….UNTIL WHAT?

Until he is “Prepared” IN Gods Word….which IS TO SAY….”IN JESUS”…..to WHAT?

TO Heartfully GIVE his LIFE (his body) unto death FOR the Lord God.
When a man confesses…
Jesus IS THE Christ, THE Son of the Living God….He “IS” agreeing to LAY DOWN HIS OWN BODILY LIFE FOR the Lord God.

God provides and blesses MEN routinely and has for centuries…
What is the ONLY precious thing any man could possibly willingly give to God?
Gold, money, power, apple pie?
NO….ONLY …
His OWN LIFE.
AND WHEN a man does THAT ^….
God fulfills His PROMISE, and MAKES that man WHOLE….body, soul, spirit….and KEEPS him WHOLE forever.
It’s a DONE DEAL….but the mystery is…it has NOT been manifested for men to SEE their new body…..
Yet the mystery is resolved….BECAUSE GODS SEES what human eyes can not.

Jesus answered and said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. But even Moses showed in the burning bush passage that the dead are raised, when he called the Lord ‘the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.’ For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”

At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting [a]contempt.
3Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
