A satanist calls himself one jim . SO NOPE i aint calling you one .
But i AM telling you progressive doctrine stems from it .
You wrote this: "Satanist jim" in post #4821. SO CLEARLY YOU ARE LYING!!!

And my so-called "progressive doctrine" comes straight from the Bible. Your contradiction of Biblical truth is of no interest to me.

You contradicted yourself right here-see that?
So if you would not embrace a god speaking through or by his prophet-and this is the Allah of the Muslims-no disrespect to the Muslims-and since you are ignorant re the Quran-how can you claim this is the same god as the YHVH of Jews and Goyim?
Simply because you don't understand what I am saying doesn't make you correct. God is God. He is the same God of Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Why can't you understand that obvious truth?

Blessings BreadOfLife. So, out of curiosity, would you say God can be found in the Koran? Would you say that God inspired this book or some one else?
Definitely NOT inspired.

However, that doesn't meant that there isn't ANY truth in it.
Many thngs containe SOME truth - but that doesn't mean we sould adhere to them.

Do YOU think that any books outside of Scripture are inspired?

Wrong God is not the same God just the same as Jesus is not the same Jesus as they believe and teach. Once again you have no clue about other religions and cults and how to differentiate them from Christianity.

Christ also called certain religionists children of the devil. To love Muslims is to tell them that the Koran is a TOTAL LIE. Only the Bible is the truth of God and only Christ can save them from Hell.
But I HOPE that's not how you would approach a Muslim
All you would do is make an instant enemy and LOSE the oppportunity to help them.

Thge Pope encourages peacful dialogue - NOT the embracing of another religion.

I understand you perfectly-you don't understand me.
I have made my point.
I don't understand you, yet you have made your point? LOL! You haven't made any point until it's understood.

And again, God is God. He is the same God of Christians, Jews, and Muslims. Period.

Its called projecting and equivocating a common thing here with many these days who cannot defend themselves when questioned or challenged to back up their claims with Scripture.

You are correct that is not how we should approach other faiths that differ from ours. We need to practice what Peter instructs us below.

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,

You accuse others of Protestants citing Luther--and here you are quoting Luther?
WHEN have I ever accused Protestants of citing Luther?

MY charge was that they FOLLOW Luther and his edited NT Canon and his inventions of Sola Scriptura and Sola Fide.

And yet there are so much info re religions and cults, verifiable sources, and these are too lazy to open links-pontificators.
Brother-the time has come to dokimazo the pneumatoi-way to many allo gospels being promulgated and tolerated here, diametrically opposed to what stands written.

Get your facts straight-don't waste my time.

What Is Islam?

A man named Muhammad, born in A.D. 570, founded the religion of Islam. Muhammad claimed to receive revelations from God that went beyond the Scriptures of Judaism and Christianity.

It Is Not The Same As Christianity

But the evidence speaks otherwise. The concept of God in Christianity and Islam is not the same. It is not possible that Muslims and Christians worship the same God. The two religions have a different source of authority, different view of Jesus Christ, and different view of salvation.

They Have A Different Source Of Authority

According to Islam the final source of authority is the Koran, which Muslims believe to be the word of God. Although Islam teaches that the Old and New Testaments are divinely inspired they believe that Christians and Jews have corrupted the Scriptures. Islam considers the Bible wrong in any place where it conflicts with the Koran. The Koran is the only trustworthy source of teaching for the Muslims.

There Is A Different God

The Koran portrays a different god than Christianity. The god of Islam is called Allah and within his nature there is only one person. The Bible teaches that there is one eternal God who has revealed Himself in three eternal persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are the one God. This is the doctrine of the Trinity. Islam rejects the Trinity and the New Testament teaching that Jesus Christ is the eternal God. They consider Him only a prophet:

Jesus Christ, the son of Mary was no more than an apostle of God (Sura 19:92).

This statement is in direct contradiction to what the Bible says about Jesus:

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).

Islam believes that its founder Mohammed was the last and greatest of the prophets.

There Is A Different Way Of Salvation

Finally, Islam teaches a different way by which a person can know God and be saved from their sins. Islam's standard of measurement is a person's good deeds.

They whose balances shall be heavy shall be blest. But they whose balances shall be light, they shall lose their soul, abiding in hell forever (Sura 13:102-104).

The Bible says that our good works cannot please God. We need a Savior. Jesus is the one who died to save us from our sins. We must accept the forgiveness He offers by faith. We cannot earn our salvation.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us (Titus 3:5).

Islam rejects the salvation that is offered by Jesus Christ.

Summary

The God of Islam and the God of Christianity are not compatible for the following reasons: The sources of authority are different. Islam accepts the Koran as its final authority and believes that the Bible contains errors. The Bible teaches that it is the inerrant Word of God and final authority on all matters, including faith and practice.

Islam believes that Jesus was only a great prophet. The New Testament teaches He is the eternal God. Islam elevates Mohammed to a greater position than Jesus.

Islam teaches that a person can be saved by his own good deeds while the Bible teaches that only through belief in Christ can a person be saved. Thus Allah, the god of Islam, is not the God revealed in the Bible.

Have a good day-no wonder you keep on "needling" @amigo de christo when you yourself are ignorant and uninformed because this is your choice.

No he is not . IF he were offering an olive branch of peace and understanding
he would have been telling them to repent and believe on Christ . NO
he is building and helping to build a lie
which will have all to believe that all religoins are fine in the eyes of GOD so long as we come together
and do good works . You just make excuse upon excuse .
GOD never said to the jews and Christ nor the apostles ever once taught
GO OUT and just find common ground with all . GOD never said to make a covenant with other religions for any reason .
TRUTH is HE said NOT TO DO SO .
OUR mission aint world peace , its to preach the PEACE OF GOD . WHICH IS JESUS CHRIST .
That to have peace with GOD one must be reconciled to GOD . THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY TO DO THAT
BELIEVE IN CHRIST WHOM GOD DID SEND .
YOU do realize if one omits what CHRIST taught , they aint just omitting what some prophet said , BUT WHAT GOD SAID .
This pope aint GOD and if he were even of GOD His mission would be Converting souls by the preaching
of the original gospel which says TO believe with the heart that GOD has rose HIM from the dead
and confess with your mouth . Instead that message implies
buddists , muslims , other religions etc are following GOD . LIE from hell too .
JESUS made it very clear . So did the apostels . Peter would roll over in his grave , IF that were possible , to see
what has become of many places . He offers a delusion to unify the world .
And though hand join in hand the wicked shall not go unpunished . BE RECONCILED TO GOD .
Any muslim or buddist , or atheist , or hindu that actually comes to Christ would have repented of their old dead religion
and now preach CHRIST .
WRONG.
JESUS didn't even do that.

Hr didn't mention repentance until AFTER he performed a miracle on someone or helped them. If He had gone aroung the countryside telling people hoe lost they were or they were hell-bound - they NEVER would have followed Him.

YOU message is one of judgementalism and self0righteousness - for which YOU will have to answer to Gog.

THIS is the Pope's message:
1 Pet. 3:15
Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

THIS
is YOUR warning:
Matt. 6:14-15

For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

What was said is that Jews, Muslims, and Christians all worship the same God. Your changing the subject has nothing to do with that topic. "Allah" is God's name in Arabic. End of discussion!

And if you keep up with garbage like "you yourself are ignorant and uninformed" I will report you as I reported "amigo". Is that what your religiosity teaches you? Obviously neither you nor he feel Jesus' command to "love your neighbor as yourself" applies to you.

I don't listen to your pope-small "p"
2Ti 4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Ti 4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2Ti 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Ti 4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

2Ti 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand.

Be instant in season, out of season (epistēthi eukairōs akairōs). Second aorist (ingressive) active imperative of ephistēmi (intransitive use), “take a stand,” “stand upon it or up to it,” “carry on,” “stick to it.”

The Vulgate has “insta.” The two adverbs are like a proverb or a play (pun) on the word kairos. There are all sorts of seasons (kairoi), some difficult (chalepoi, 2Ti_3:1), some easy (eukairēi, 1Co_16:12).

Reprove (elegxon). First aorist active imperative of elegchō. “Bring to proof.” Eph_5:11.

Rebuke (epitimēson). First aorist active imperative of epitimaō, to give honour (or blame) to, to chide. Common in the Gospels (Luk_17:3).

Exhort (parakaleson). First aorist active imperative of parakaleō, common Pauline word.

Are you spiritually blind or plain stupid? How can He be the same God when only Christians believe that Jesus is God, with the Father and the Holy Spirit?

WHT are you taling about??
WHO is "deifying" the Pope?

THIS is what happens when somebody jumps into a conversation that they haven;t been following.

I was responding to an anti-Catholic video about a message that the Pope gave on peaceful communications between the world religions - and I encapsulated his meaage with a Scripture verse (1 Pat. 3:16).

Mext
time - if you're goning to accuse me of something - nake SURE I'm guilty of it, first . .
