I went to the cardiologist. He said everything looks good, so he scheduled a stress test. Now the interesting thing is that I can't get in for a stress test for 2 months. They are completely booked. I'm thinking COVID is the problem there. But wow, just wow.

It's like this all over now Devin, it is a shame. I have 2 major health concerns right now, the one hasn't even been scheduled as waiting for the ins. co. to approve. And, Have been waiting since end of January and can't get in till May.

Listen Dev, you are doing the right thing having the specialist check it out, but it could be something as simple as stress or panic attacks, but with that being said you are doing right to have it checked out to make sure there is no further problems?

I think I may have had another muscle spasm and I'm worried it may have caused some damage this time. I felt a sharp pain around my heart and then a few minutes later it felt like someone was sitting on my chest.

Do you check your blood pressure?

As I have diabeties, I also have increased blood pressure, and also IBS. I am on a beta blocker, which has caused 1st degree block. I do get some crazy blood pressure readings, like 163/110, especially when I have eaten hot/spicy food, which can cause pain in the stomach and chest. There is a link between IBS and high blood pressure.

Thanks, no my blood pressure is good. I just get spasms all over my body. I've increased my potassium, sodium and magnesium to combat that. But I'm still getting spasms. My cystic fibrsosis goes thru a lot of sodium so my blood levels are usually low. And I also have IBS-D which further depletes my levels of electrolytes.

I have been to the walk in clinic three times in the recent months complaining of heart pain. But the EKG's come back normal so I'm not having a heart attack or anything.

The question is this: what condition would cause your heart to hurt during the beatings or just hurting also but not cause a heart attack?

Thank you and glad to hear your tests are normal. I will pray for you also. I wondered if it could have been my esophagus. Not sure but it feels like my heart.

from what I know, cystic fibrosis can cause chest pain as can ibs

Dont go to clinic. Get to an emergency room at a hospital as soon as possible. Call ambulance if need be. They will them run appropriate tests. God bless

Seems weird today getting dr appt.s and insurances. My son needs heart surgery and has been having a difficult time scheduling an appointment and insurance run around.
I think a lot of nurses and other health professionals were jerked around with the Covid thing, and that has put a cramp on services.
