What do you mean by that??? ...ouch!!

I just asked if it had to do with the verse, "Children obey your parents", and I asked because that verse was drilled into my head as a kid!!
If you want to know what he said regarding your question, that's an easy way to access the answers. I'm not going to try to explain his views to you so you can accuse me of twisting something. You can see for yourself. If you want to. If you don't look, it must be because you don't want to.

Much love!

If you actually want to know, do a search of "hindu girl" on epis' threads. You'll see his explanations of people being accepted by God outside of faith in Christ, or the Bible, or YHWH, on the basis of their well intentioned good works.

Much love!

This???? (Taken from "a search of "hindu girl" on epis' threads").

"Imagine a little girl in Bangladesh, her parents are Hindu. To honour her parents, she does whatever Hindus do. She lives a poor life and dies in poverty in a drought.

God in His mercy sees the girl...a girl who suffered her whole life and died of hunger.

Will He not now feed her for eternity.??? Remember Zaccheus who lived in poverty outside the gates of the rich man?

Would you, in your mercy consign that little girl to hell because she didn't go to church? She didn't hear the gospel...at 9 years old?

God has mercy on the merciful. The religious (idolators) He casts away.

So what's it gonna be?"

Now you know how, and you can see his posts on the topic. There are more than one, I suggest taking in several.

And then you can determine whether your outrage was misplaced or not.

Much love!

It’s obvious the gospel and Jesus have nothing to do with salvation in his system.

I don't think that Satan ever encourages anyone to be good. God says to love your neighbor; I doubt that Satan says the same thing. The parable of the good Samaritan is Jesus' way of describing desirable behavior. The "book" of Job clearly shows Satan's behavior, as does his time with Jesus in the wilderness.

"Being good" is what God expects of His children.
Your right he does not

What he does do is encourage people to think if they are good enough they will be saved..

Thats why it is the most popular religion on earth, Including in Christianity

He said a Muslim person who did good could be accepted also.

It’s obvious the gospel and Jesus have nothing to do with salvation in his system.
What is obvious is that you know nothing whatsoever of God...instead behaving like the Pharisees who condemned Jesus for saying that a "Samaritan" or else a "Publican" could be justified whereas the religious bigots were not. You are in for a big surprise.

The gospel is not just about saving the lost from hell...turning the unrighteous to righteousness ...but also procuring a bride for God's only Son. Welcoming the righteous into holiness. The gospel is about salvation from the POWER of sin. It's about making a holy people who will rule with Christ forever.

Learn what it means to have mercy...judging yourself harder than others rather going easy on yourself and hard on others...basically unrighteousness.

Whose law? Not God's law. Your imaginative restructuring of the gospel comes from Luther. God can see all things. You are the blind one. That fresh snow covering up a dunghill of sins....well that is just a clever ploy invented by a frustrated monk.
Gods law said if I sinned just one time, I am cursed.

Your luther excuse is getting old.. You’re not catholic. Hence you are a protestant. So you condemn yourself.
God is merciful. He is not a lawyer.
God is the greatest lawyer their is, as well as the greatest judge there is.

Gods judgment will not be rescinded. But his love can find a way. Thats why he came and died for the sin of the people

God is not going to forgive you just because you think you are good. Or you do so me good deeds.
He knows our weakness. Do you really think you can hide from God? Don't you see how foolish that is?

I am not the one hiding from God man.. I came to him like the tax collector.. I am not hiding behind my good deeds thinking God is just going to say walk right in, your forgiven.

Thats you my friend

Because you are still in Adam...you want to hide your sins away from God. Use that imagination of yours to consider that all your sins will be displayed for all to see...there is NOTHING hidden that will not be revealed... then it is a question of whether you will weep...or gnash your teeth at that certain monk.
No. I am no longer in Adam, I was born again.

You’re right, Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed. So why are you not repenting and placing your eternity in the hands of God based on Christ, and not based on yourself?>
So you need to repent and come into the light. Light exposes darkness...your darkness.

Luke 12:2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.
3 Therefore whatsoever ye have spoken in darkness shall be heard in the light; and that which ye have spoken in the ear in closets shall be proclaimed upon the housetops.

That's why you accepted the scheme. You thought it was a "get out of hell" card. And now you want moral support from others. Well only the indoctrinated will NOT correct your delusion.

If Christ be not RAISED you are dead in your sins. Your religion is one of death. Go to the cross and be delivered from the power of sin...so you may live.
Again, I went to the cross 40 years ago

When will you go to the cross. And lead your followers to the cross.. Not the fake cross that has no power you proclaim. But the real cross.. The one that gives eternal life to ALL who believe.
There's some truth to this. I know you are just being a good little reformer here.
Reformer?

I went back to the beginning, before religiosity gained hold of the gospel and destroyed. It

God's will never fails. It's our assumptions and presumptions that fail. God will have mercy on WHOMEVER He wills. That is what the religious types hate about God.
And he told us who he will show mercy on’’whoever believes is not condemned, who ever does not believe is condemned already

He does not randomly chose. That what the calvinists think, they are wrong..

I haven't looked it up but does it have to do with EPH 6:1-3 “Children, obey your parents because you belong to the Lord, for this is the right thing to do. 'Honor your father and mother.' This is the first commandment with a promise: If you honor your father and mother, 'Things will go well for you, and you will have a long life on the earth.'" ???
Have you obeyed your parents perfectly since birth?

if not. If yu just stumbled once. Your under the curse.. You can obey them perfectly from now until you die. It would not matter, Your still dead because of the times you have failed.

If your doing it to be saved.. It will not help you

She will die the second death, because she has not believed int he name of the only begotten son of God..

She will die in her sin.

God is not a universalist..

Stop man, just stop

He is not a pharisee. YOU ARE!!!!!!

You’re the one trying to get to God through you works and how good you are. HE IS NOT

that is a pharisee trait. They rejected salvation by grace through faith alone, Like you do.

It occurs to me . . . it was promoted, the idea that we do good works along with believing to "attract God's attention". How is that not self-service? Aren't we to be doing good because we love God, and love others? Because it's our duty? To do good? So when are to we do good works with one eye turned towards ourselves, that we be promoted before God?

That makes no sense to me.

And particularly considering, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you", since when did God stop paying attention to each of us? Are we really falling through the cracks if we aren't making ourselves shiny enough?

Much love!

That comment that we seek to attract Gods attention blew my mind.. Where does that kind of thinking come from?

I'm reminded,

2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV
For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.

He's looking for us, if we will be fully towards Him.

Much love!
