I only shared what it means to me. Not forcing anyone to not see it how ever they choose it to speak. Take a look at what is being taught and what is coming from what is taught…asserted as the only perspective that is true. Those who have and those who have not…high mindedness if you would truly take a close look around at what is being taught (the haves and the haves nots). When it is right in front of our face (Imo) but we refuse to acknowledge it because that removes us from a height we don’t want to come down from. (Or that is my opinion not that it matters. Mostly here on the board I have questionable salvation status at best. Which maybe causes me to relate with those told repeatedly that they lack. Which makes me relate then to “will you share some of your extra oil with me then?” I can’t tell you how many times when going to church there I’ve received the snub of the nose from those who claim to have it but don’t want to share it. For the life of me, I can not understand how that is Christ in them …snubbing his nose at me. I’m like…brother are You in there? Why are You rejecting me? I thought You said You love me?”)
Are you a "have not?"

What do you seek?
The things pertaining to God.

I said from man’s perspective I am a have not.
From the Father’s perspective though… I am blessed. No doubt about it. I even forget how blessed I am. I can’t even wrap my mind around how blessed I am. It is inconceivable how gracious He is towards me. Does it hurt that it is unseen …yes. I myself struggle to see it, so how can I fault others for what is hard for me to receive? A housewife, no money, no real talents that create a shine… but to hear His voice and to be comforted, told you are acceptable just as you are without dollar signs over your head, without perfect speech or perfect bling-bling in this world…to be loved and heard of Him. The opportunity to grow and learn what is valuable when those things are seen as less valuable…is a blessing.

True story. I said above does it hurt for it to not be seen how blessed I am. Yes. Our eldest daughter said to me the other night “what do you contribute.” It is all a matter of perspective because I am not the breadwinner in our family. Not at all… so this was her urging to become a breadwinner asking “no really. What do you contribute.” This crushed me…my mouth opening and shutting in a stunned “I don’t know.” Seen as not having anything worth contributing but needing to go work on that…contributing. That is always where I am at …a work progress of “what do you contribute.” Breadwinning wise?
But LORD of Mercy…is our family blessed and I think I have a part that goes unseen in contribution to the whole.

So you are struggling? Having to make ends meet? Correct me if I'm reading you wrong.

Compared to some there is an abundance of money.(not by my contribution though). Me and money wrestle no matter how hard I try to have it, the further away it is. Money definitely isn’t something that comes easily for me. I might be homeless, and holding a sign on the corner begging for food if it weren’t for my husband seeing that I eat and have a roof over my head. So there is always struggling as it is never enough. It is hard to go from housewife to working a job. That is a mindset I struggle with, my perspective always center around the house. Hard to do something new. I try. I give up. I try. I give up. Usually costing more than I make. So her question was “when will you contribute.” Years of a woman should not work or be in the work place, to why isn’t she working. Like sling-shot from one direction to another. Yes. I’m a mess and that is why I said from man’s perspective…a have not.

I can relate and empathize with you-now is not the time for me to be "so, so spiritual" I "hear" you-Stay strong in Christ Jesus.

The key to understanding the parables is laid out in the 4 different kinds of soil.

Those who get nothing out of the parables do so because they don't understand the importance of parables in general...the the parable of the Sower specifically.

Matt. 13:19 When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.

Without understanding God and His ways...there is no room in the heart for instruction in the kingdom of God.

23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that hears the word, and understands it; which also bears fruit, and brings forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

The gap between bearing eternal fruit or not is based on understanding the words of Jesus. This is about bearing an eternal kind of fruit.

Now it is given to spiritual people to understand the kingdom...but an understanding can also be gleaned by those whose faith is patient enough to receive instruction. As such we find that both prophets AND the righteous can benefit from the words of Jesus in the parables.

Jesus makes a distinction between the saints and the righteous. Notice what He says here..

17 For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

To the casual reader there is no distinction in this...although Jesus uses these categories more than once. (Think...Receive a prophet in the name of a prophet; receive a righteous man in the name of a righteous man...etc )

How much do we appreciate receiving instruction from the Master of life Himself? How many will humble themselves to learn of Him?
Silly Child....

Mar 4:9 And He was saying, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear."
Mar 4:10 As soon as He was alone, His followers, along with the twelve, began asking Him about the parables.
Mar 4:11 And He was saying to them, "To you has been given the mystery of the kingdom of God, but those who are outside get everything in parables, Mar 4:12 so that WHILE SEEING, THEY MAY SEE AND NOT PERCEIVE, AND WHILE HEARING, THEY MAY HEAR AND NOT UNDERSTAND, OTHERWISE THEY MIGHT RETURN AND BE FORGIVEN."

The truth is here for all to see.... Soil... are you kidding me... LOL

You have no Idea...
Paul

Oil in scripture is a representative of the HS. One could say the ones who had the oil had the spirit. the ones who did not did not have the spirit.
Didn’t they both have oil?

Your correct the unwise took no oil, only their lamps.

Why would they think they needed a lamp, but no oil. Is there something else an oiless
lamp is good for?

What a terrible thing for your daughter to say. If you take care of the home, you contribute.

Jesus parables have to do with kingdom of God. In Matthew chapter 13. Jesus tells His disciples the mystery of God isn't for them to understand. So He uses parables. The mystery of God is revealed to Gods Election. The apostles and prophets are the election. Most people have spirit of stupor for their protection. So the mystery of God is hidden from those who have spirit of slumber. Get the picture. You need holy spirit to understand. Many people can't understand spirtual things and the mystery of God. Because they have spirit of slumber. Jesus explains this in Matthew chapter 13. More documentation, read Isaiah chapter 6, romans chapter 11 and Isaiah chapter 29.

So who is it in here who has the Spirit of God and is able to explain all mysteries. I’d love too check them out, because I’ve never seen any on here or anywhere else that can agree.

Over plain things regarding holiness?

Absolutely!

What I said was, we are not bicker over ambiguous and mysterious things in scripture.
Luke 8:10 KJV
[10] And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God: but to others in parables; that seeing they might not see, and hearing they might not understand.
Isn’t Jesus saying here that it was given too them to understand the parables?

What a terrible thing for your daughter to say. If you take care of the home, you contribute.
That wasn’t really the point of my sharing but instead how it does hurt sometimes the different perspectives on what is contribution. She later came back and said she didn’t mean I don’t contribute. she meant money trying to encourage me to work. Both of our girls work hard and have jobs. They grew up watching me take a different path of a stay at home mom. That is all.
