We just can’t give them wise virgins up and become fools…it is all over what you are saying in my opinion “a life for a life”
Revelation 3:17-20 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods,(extra oil) and have need of nothing(having extra but not enough for us and you, sounds like the Pharisees); and know not that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: [18] I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that you may be clothed, (put on the New Man, Christ) and that the shame of your nakedness do not appear; and anoint your eyes with eyesalve(remove the what from your eyes, boulder?) that you may see. [19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. [20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: (please, please, our light has gone out?) if any man hear my voice, and open the door,(oh you Corinthians our mouth is open to you, our hearts enlarged) I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. (That they may be one, even as we are one Father.)
1 Corinthians 3:16-23 Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? [17] If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. [18] Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [19] For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. [20] And again, The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. [21] Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; [22] Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; [23] And you are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
I’m still scratching my head when going on and on about the wise being so wise that they counted the cost and paid the cost. I just don’t see it. I see Christ paying the cost, giving all. Not the wise who to me become fools at “no, there is not enough for you and me.” Even Christ cried “it is enough.”
