My neighbor's lets call them Adam and Steve are a happily married couple with three children. They have a locked file cabinet in their garage, it's locked so the children can't get into it, I've read through the contents of that 4 drawer file cabinet. it contains thousands of letters and documentation of phone calls. All threats to them and their loved ones. Their kids aren't allowed to open mail because every so often people will send the kids pictures of mutilated and butchered people, mostly butchered kids with notes about how Jesus wants them to die like the children in the pictures. A common theme in all these threats is declaration that they and everyone they care about will burn in hell.

LGBT people live with this kind of messaging their lives. I think they have already heard the message.

Just keep feeding the "dragon" here, with all your comments, and he will come up with a solution to get unrepentant flaming LGBT visitors, in all their "PRIDE", into all the churches, including your clergy.

Here is what you might get for an example, that has turned the UMC to decide for splitting up the church in 2024. Many UMC members have already decided to depart from it, and start up independently, or move to other Denominations, which in the long run, might not be any better.

the UMC has to be hurting ..but all these Church splits from the conference to keep the Building. they have to pay for it. i was told by one pastor who split one church had pay close to half million. the conference board is corrupt to the core. in fact they are going against there very own by laws . which state no lgbt ministers . the big problem started when they went went united. had the Methodist Church stayed independent . stayed with the teaching of the wesley brothers. they would been in better shape.. i was raised in the umc BUT THERE was none of the liberal unGodly stuff going on.. they was programmed

No. Saying something without evidence is why it is called an assertion. It could also be called a principle or as @CadyandZoe said, a declaration.

My 2 year old granddaughter gave me an empty bottle and said "more." I didn't give her the 3rd degree about not speaking in complete sentences or asking her if she needs more empty bottles. I kind of figured there might be some validity to her assertion, declaration, etc.

You are equivocating. There is no parallel between race and sexual orientation. Race is a state of being; sexual orientation is not. Secondly, I am not hating them, they are hating themselves.

Homosexuality is a pattern of behavior, which is also a violation of the created order. Those who practice homosexuality are not only hurting themselves in this lifetime, they are in danger of permanent damnation. Those who seek to heal them are not hating them, they are loving them.
