The contrast between "flesh" and "spirit" is common in Paul (cf. Rom. 8:1-11). "Flesh" [sarx] is used in two senses by Paul: (1) the physical body; and (2) mankind's fallen, sinful, Adamic nature. Here it is obviously #2.

You left the main one out again.

Its the 'MIND of the Flesh"..

3 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

AnD IN THAT WRONG. Mind, you will have a battle with LUST, as the mind of the flesh, is where Lust Exists..

So, when your mind is wrong, then Lust is the FRUIT.
When your MIND is RIGHT, then you are in the "Spiritual" mind, and that is to be this..

"As many as be perfect".

Nothing wrong with this post-it goes against you and your "sinless perfectionism"

She's not teaching that "cult" term, that seems to be your obsession, as it is the obsession of Ronald Nolette.

Listen..
She's just showing you that Jesus has her sin, and She has become ..."The Righteousness of God" "in Christ".

There is no sin found in God's "GIFT of RIGHTEOUSNESS" that every born again believer has received.

And there is no sin found "in Christ", and all the born again are "In Christ"., forever.

Paul told you to "reckon it dead", and here you are, Enoch111 saying you have yours.
Do you understand the meaning of "reckon" as dead? It means to count something as INEFFECTIVE even though that something DOES EXIST in fact. So to reckon the sin nature as dead is to count it as having no power over you. But does that mean it is absent? Hardly. Otherwise Paul would not have pointed out the warfare between the flesh and the Spirit and how to deal with it. So once again you are found to be unable to grasp simply Gospel truths.

Why did Paul call the Christians in Corinth "carnal"? Because they were allowing "the flesh" to make them cause divisions. Did that mean that he did not see them as saints? Hardly. Here is how he addressed them: Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

These Christians were "sanctified in Christ Jesus" yet deemed to be carnal because of their behavior. And you have shown yourself to be carnal many times.

Indeed it is!!...Amen!!

A few here like to tell us that they are trying to resurrect theirs...

These carnal people will tell you....."Oh no, i have my sin.....its MINE.... i get to sin, confess, and repeat, as that is my Christianity"...they will show you, tell you, and then say..."and that is YOURS ALSO".

Notice who they are, and then, you'll know that their understanding of the Cross of Christ, is : ZERO.

ZERO . 0

And yet, they are "Teachers'..

It's ridiculous,.. its pathetic... yet.. that is what is always happening on a christian forum.

You have people who could not explain the Blood Atonement or the Cross of Christ as the New Covenant, if you put a gun to their head, who live on forums, pretending to be a "authority" of the word of God.

They can tell you all about WORKS and WATER and confessing sin.
They have mastered "Fallen from Grace".

Absolutely.

"be transformed" Believers must be transformed (cf. Rom. 6:4; 7:6; 2 Cor. 5:17; Gal. 6:15; Eph. 4:22-24; Col. 3:10), not just informed!

The grammatical form of this term can be present middle imperative, "continue to transform yourselves" or present passive imperative, "continue to be transformed." This is also true of "conform" in Rom. 12:2a. For a similar contrast compare Ezek. 18:31 (human commitment and action) with Ezek 36:26-27 (divine gift). Both are needed!

A form of this same word for "formed" is used of Jesus at the Transfiguration (cf. Matt. 17:2), where His true essence was revealed. This true divine essence (cf. 2 Pet. 1:3-4) is to be formed in every believer (cf. 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 4:13).

"by the renewing of your mind" This is from the Greek root for new in quality (kainos) not new in time (chronos). For the Jews the senses of sight and hearing were the windows of the soul. What one thinks about, one becomes. After salvation, because of the indwelling Spirit, believers have a new perspective (cf. Eph. 4:13,23; Titus 3:5). This new biblical worldview, along with the indwelling Spirit, is what transforms the mind and lifestyle of new believers. Believers look at reality in a totally different way because their minds have been energized by the Spirit. A new redeemed, Spirit-led mind results in a new lifestyle! This is what the new covenant promised (cf. Jer. 31:31-34).

Transliteration: syschēmatizesthe
Morphology: V-PMM/P-2P
Verb - Present Imperative Middle or Passive - 2nd Person Plural
Strong's no.: G4964 (συσχηματίζω)
Meaning: To conform to.

μεταμορφοῦσθε
Transliteration: metamorphousthe
Morphology: V-PMM/P-2P
Verb - Present Imperative Middle or Passive - 2nd Person Plural
Strong's no.: G3339 (μεταμορφόω)
Meaning: To transform, transfigure.

See the two Imperatives? What does it tell YOU? As for the rest , if you have a problem with lust, keep it to yourself-this is not an open confession public online Forum-go to your nearest rabbi.

I believe that we are to confess our daily shortcomings-as per Present, Active, Subjunctive.

When Adam sinned willfully, he gave the dominion that he had over to Satan. You are right that what is cut off from us is the sin nature, leaving us with a nature that partakes of the divine nature of God. Also 1 John 3:8-9 and 1 John 5:18 shows that Satan's influence and ability to touch us is gone. That'll be a shocker for all those who believe they have to fight the devil's temptations all the time, when Jesus already made a way of escape.
The sin nature is NOT surgically removed from you-it is still with you.

Touché-the sin nature is NOT surgically removed as some here are advocating.

Rom 6:11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Transliteration: logizesthe
Morphology: V-PIM/P-2P
Verb - Present Indicative Middle or Passive - 2nd Person Plural
Strong's no.: G3049 (λογίζομαι)
Meaning: To reckon, count, charge with; reason, decide, conclude; think, suppose.

Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Rom 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

"Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body" This is a present active imperative with the negative particle, which usually meant to stop an act already in process. The term "reign" relates to 5:17-21 and 6:23. Paul personifies several theological concepts.

1. death reigned as king (cf. Rom. 5:14,17; 6:23)

2. grace reigned as king (cf. Rom. 5:21)

3. sin reigned as king (cf. Rom. 6:12,14)

The real question is who is reigning in your life? The believer has the power in Christ to choose! The tragedy for the individual, the local church, and the Kingdom of God is when believers choose self and sin, even while claiming grace!

6:13 "do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin" This is a present active imperative with the negative particle which usually meant to stop an act already in process.

This shows the potential for continuing sin in the lives of believers (cf. Rom. 7:1ff; 1 John 1:8-2:1). But the necessity of sin has been eliminated in the believer's new relationship with Christ, Rom. 6:1-11.

Shalom
Johann.

All that confessing daily ...thank God he brought me to his truth...through you.....I tell you, I was on another forum...most were confessing every day as well...I left...thank God i can rest in him, knowing my sins past ,present and future are forgiven..covered by the Blood of Jesus.

As I say...I don’t answer those who teach against the word of God...it’s just head knowledge..you can tell...

Confess this ..

"I am the Righteousness of God in Christ", ,,,,,,as that is what God Believes about all the Born again, at all times, and forever.

Does this mean that our behavior is always perfect?
It'll never be perfect, at all times..... but its not behavior that defines us.. as a Son/Daughter of God.
Its the Blood of Jesus and the Cross of Christ that is our DEFINITION< that teaches us, who we have Become as,..,."made righteous", "in Christ"..."one with God."...."The righteousness of God in Christ".

See, at any moment your state of mind can be just about anything...
One second you are thinking about a cup of coffee, the next minute you are thinking about doing the laundry, and the next minute sone temptation shows up..... all in 2 mins..
So, We have to guard our minds....sure.
And so that is our status.... our thinking...,.and that is all that is...

Our Eternal STANDING.... is "in god".."In Christ"..."born again". "Made Righteous"... "heir of God"..."joint heir with Jesus"....BORN AGAIN.

See that?
That is our ETERNAL STANDING....made so by Eternal REDEMPTION that is "In Christ"., and all the born again are "in Christ".

How we think, is our status, (feelings and emotions).... and that has no effect on our ETERNAL Standing as "ONE WITH GOD"..."seated in Heavenly places"".."In Christ".

Colossians 2:11

The spiritual circumcision that is (God made) not with hands.

That is God separating your born again SPIRIT< from the "old man of sin that is crucified with Christ".

That is not your MIND....

Your mind can go just about anywhere.. into the future, into the past... into some carnal thought.. and has to be disciplined.
However, the born again Christian, is not the MIND or the Body.
We are the "Born again" SPIRIT< that exists as ..."made righteous"..."In Christ'..."one with God."...."having Eternal Life"
