I both asked and answered questions last night.
Perhaps not not necessarily my questions.
It is becoming more apparent to me that you are asking to be spoon fed.
Yes. Absolutely. I expect a passionate person to be able to spell out the reasons for their quest in unambiguous terms. What I see is you are making a Prego commercial, claiming all the answers to my questions are in there - some where. But that is just a feign, you cannot pull it together man.

You claimed the show is only 5% Scripture AS IF that is determinant of it being bad. I agree with the premise but not the conclusion and wrote eloquently about why. I did not invoke this childish game that I already provided an explanation of why The Chosen has my highest recommendation. I spoon fed you. And all you got is you disagree!

Fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. It means you have so much faith in God, that you have no faith in anything else, no fear of anything else. Much fear I sense in you.

Your conclusion is flawed. There are no fear based questions in the OP.
The OP questions are all fear based.
Proposition: There is no danger in getting our theology from Hollywood.
Proposition, is it now? Before you said you had reasons! I expect to be spoon fed the litany of facts that support your reason. Obviously, all you have is fear based supposition.

And you cannot even get this one fact straight! The producers of The Chosen are not from Hollywood.

PROPOSITION: Faithful Christians have used art for centuries to bring glory to God. It is a time honored tradition that continues to this day in the form of The Chosen.

Thanks for the feedback. I see from it that what I’ve said has gone over your head.

I don’t require spoon feeding. I reject your recommendation because it doesn’t address the danger of getting our theology from Hollywood.

It has apparently escaped your notice that my thread, by design, is addressing a wider issue than one television program.

In light of the topic,

It’s just entertainment.

It’s entertainment but it’s more than just entertainment.

I’ve spent decades dealing with people who seldom, if ever, read the Bible. They get their theology from movies and television. After viewing, they don’t search the scriptures to see if what they were told is true or not.

This is a point which I made earlier in the thread.

A topic for another thread: Why did Jesus answer questions by asking questions?

So what? You imply there is something nefarious but are refusing to come right out and say it.

By contrast, one of my first posts in this thread was the benefit of shows like The Chosen to bring the Gospel to millions. Their noble goal is to bring the Gospel to 1 billion people. Yes, there is a cost to business but also a benefit, a net benefit.

What has gone over you head, what has escaped your notice is the source.

Hardly.

You still require spoon feeding. I didn’t say, nor do I believe, that the producers of The Chosen are connected with Hollywood. The identity of the producers and their connections is readily available to anyone who wants to see it.

The Chosen is a vehicle to the wider issue.

No matter who is offering programming to viewers, be a Berean.

I’ve spent decades of my life working with people who aren’t. They get their theology from movies and television, not the Bible, and they do not search the scriptures after viewing the content they were offered. They are driven by feelings, not scripture.

Offer those people a fictionalized Jesus and what do you get?

Your concern for them is touching.

You’re trying to win a debate with someone who doesn’t debate.

Spoon feeding : You get people with a fictionalized theology.

Such people aren’t Bereans. They need to be.

What good is a fictionalized theology?

Yes, we've covered this before. Yes, I require the reasons you claim exist for the cost of such entertainment. to be actually articulated in a single post.
I didn’t say, nor do I believe, that the producers of The Chosen are connected with Hollywood.
Yes, you did say and imply many times that the producers of The Chosen are connected with Hollywood.
Offer those people a fictionalized Jesus and what do you get?
You tell me. It seems what you get is a fearfilled pastor with no faith or fear in God, unable to articulate a cogent argument for emotional opposition to Christian based art but repeats his hysteria time and again.

It's easier to express opinions that actually make an argument of how ones conclusion makes sense.

Christian art --> The Sky is Falling.

Not very convincing.

Sad that you've given far more time and energy to bashing Christian art than child sex trafficking. The Sound of Freedom has been criticized because it brought attention to the issue. According to you, such liberties on fact based stories only lead to cost with no offsetting benefit. Honestly, I cannot believe I'm sensing all this fear from you about Christian art.

We all noticed you did not answer my question about how far you'd go in destroying Christian art from centuries past. You don't debate and you don't answer question. Just repeat your sky is falling mantra. What a shame.

Classic straw man.

Not written in invisible ink, visible to the naked eye, yet not seen. That’s a special kind of blindness. What induces it?
