Israel religion rejected the one whom God sent to them, to this very day. So to Gods view they are just as wicked. Jesus taught return evil for evil to no one. They didn't listen to him and returned evil for evil. 99% on this earth are wicked in Gods view.

God gave each individual free will. If one chooses to follow satan and give evil-the one who follows Jesus does not return evil for evil--Vengeance is mine said the Lord. Its tough to say if self defense would be included in that. When Peter chopped the ear off one arresting Jesus, Jesus rebuked him. that is the generic antichrist. But there is a specific antichrist. He is also known as the abomination of desolation, man of lawlessness. the beast with 7 heads and ten horns, the eleventh horn, the eighth king, son of perdition, the beast.

That first mention of antichrist is nominative singular and masculine. so the bible as written says there is a man who is called ANTICHRIST.
