Such idolatry of any natural body on earth being made as God's image, also leads to foolish questions, such as the Godhead must include a woman, if in whose image women are made bodily.

And if indeed man's body is the image and shape of God, then we see the shape of God all around us, and in the mirror.

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

When the Bible says man and woman are created and made in His image, He is speaking of spiritual beings on earth, even as the angels in heaven, who are also called the sons of God.

And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:

When the Bible shows the Lord fashioning and shaping the body of man, it is of the same stuff as all natural creatures on earth made by the Lord. It is only the shapes that are different, with men and women being unique in physical stature and appearance.

Man begets children in man's own image, the same as antelopes beget children in antelope form and shape. But all flesh is the same in natural mortality, just as grass.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

This is why idolizing the likeness of man or antelopes as the image and shape of the eternal God, is called idolatry in the Bible.

Man's physical form is not made in God's image. That is the idolatry of carnal minded readers of the Bible.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

It's the soul and heart of man created in the image of God, who is Spirit. That is where man, like God and angel has power to choose to do good or evil.

No other natural living creature on earth has that power and image from God.

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

If man's physical shape is created int he image of God, then man has seen God's shape since the beginning.

Man's physical shape was created differently from that of all other natural living creatures, walking upright, and not as the forefooted or jumping creatures with two legs.

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

Man was created spiritually in God's image, with a natural body different in shape from other natural creatures. God came in the flesh of man with a natural body in the shape of man, and not that of any other natural creature.

When Christ makes man's physical shape, it is not in God's likeness. But rather was to become the Son's likeness on earth. That is part of why He is called the second Adam coming in the flesh, in the same shape and likeness of Adam.

Neither is man's flesh sinful nor his shape, no more than any other flesh and shape of living creatures made by Christ with His own Spirit and hands.

Preaching conjecture has a consequence: "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

But we also know by Exodus 33

20 He further said, “You cannot see My face, for mankind shall not see Me and live!”

A side note here:

The above Exodus 33 quote “You cannot see My face, for mankind shall not see Me and live!” has an update since Christ and "If you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."

The reality of Exodus 33 remains the same, except we who see Jesus with spiritual sight do indeed die in the flesh as it has always been since the beginning, but now live unto God by the spirit. But rather than it being instant as men would understand it, Paul interprets the eternal and timeless truth from God to elaborate according to our own times and thinking, saying, "but each one in his own order." Which is the fulfillment of “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”—

Man's body not shaped in the image of God…

Disagree with your points.

God IS Spirit.
God Has 7 Spirits.
God Has a Soul.
All Souls ARE Gods.
Angels ARE spirits.

Inasmuch as Angels CAN and DO appear in the Likeness as a man, so ALSO CAN and HAS and SHALL God.

A Human Person IS A terrestrial (bodily) out of the Earth and Earth his Habitat/Estate.

A Person IS A Body WITH its Soul IN its Body.

A Dead body is no longer called a Person;
Because Living souls depart out of Human dead body’s.

In Heaven Gods Word came forth out from Gods Mouth and entered into A Body God Prepared and was sent to Earth to a particular Virgin’s womb, who was betrothed to a particular man of the House of David.

The child’s prepared body born out of that Virgin’s womb, was in the Likeness AS A “earthly Jewish man”…

AND…the express image of Gods Person.

Throughout Scripture, Gods head, hands, feet, legs, mouth, eyes, etc. are mentioned.

Heb 1:
[3] Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Not secular. Yes Biblical.

Glory to God,

By description I would have to say it was the author of Exodus 33: 17-23

17 The Lord said to Moses, “I will also do this thing of which you have spoken; for you have found favor in My sight and I have known you by name.” 18 Then [h]Moses said, “I pray You, show me Your glory!” 19 And He said, “I Myself will make all My goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the name of the Lord before you; and I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show compassion on whom I will show compassion.” 20 But He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live!” 21 Then the Lord said, “Behold, there is a place [i]by Me, and you shall stand there on the rock; 22 and it will come about, while My glory is passing by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock and cover you with My hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will take My hand away and you shall see My back, but My face shall not be seen.”

So the author of Exodus claims God said He has a face. But was not permitted to see it.

So the author of Exodus claims God said He has a hand.

So the author of Exodus claims God said about His hand a second time.

So the author of Exodus claims God had a back.
Don't forget the finger of God, which is His Spirit.

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.

But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.

Apes have faces, two hands, a back, and fingers.

Where do you read anything about God not having an immortal Spirit body from the beginning on His throne in heaven? You're bringing in another argument to wrongly address the one at hand.

For it is an absolute given assuming Moses wrote Exodus for if there was anything that was not apparently of a normal looking hand.... or a back..... Moses would have said so.
So, you teach by omission.

Your view of the Bible as some sort of handbook of observations is not good.

The doctrine of the Bible condemns the idolatry of making God's image in the bodily form and shape of man.

God didn't choose to have Moses write the shape of His backside for His own reasons.

I only know it wasn't the shape of my own backside.

When you do turn and look at your backside in the mirror, do you say, "Behold the glorious image of the immortal God!"

:Zek:

I'm not belittling you, but only doing an ad absurdum.
God told Moses he had a face. But if Moses saw it he would have died.

And so, He didn't see it. Neither did God have Him write down what His immortal bodily backside looks like.

We do know what the resurrected man Christ Jesus' backside looks like.

The mention of a hand, and the mention of a back that appeared somewhat normal
Somewhat normal to who? Apes?

You're still writing your own mind and will into the Bible.

tells me God very well could have made man in His/Their Image.
Of course He did. Once again, your not addressing the argument. Our soul and spirit certainly is created in the image of God's Spirit. Pure, holy, and with God-given intelligence from the womb.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

This is the image and light that man is created by God with. It's not the flesh but the soul.

The image of God is not the natural body shaped by God from the dust of the earth. That's what pagan anthropomorphytes and Christian theosophytes believe.

God was not making a living image of Himself from dust, so that man is now the living image of God on earth.

Otherwise, why would God ever condemn man for the same idolatry God first made and shaped into His own image? How can any man be condemned for idolatry, by making man's image that of God, if God made man's body in His own image??

It's akin to the devil's doctrine, that says God now makes man with sin, and yet condemns man for sinning.

Which begs the question: Is man's sinful body still the image of the incorruptible God?

Or does God now make man in the devil's image from the womb? That's what some teach.

Also, how then can God ever not impute sin unto any man on earth, that He imputes sin into from cradle to grave?

And how can any man with sinful flesh and bones, be in Christ Jesus and of His flesh and of His bones?

Let's go on with it: If man's flesh is the image of the glorious God, then how's that working out in the grave? Are skeletons the image of God? Or is it only when there's flesh and meat on them bones?

Man's body not shaped in the image of God…

Disagree with your points.
Without addressing them. You show no misreading of the verses I give, nor any error in my reasons for them.

You just give your own reading instead. So you're not really responding to me nor my teaching. Alas, it's all too common.

In any case, I will address your points personally and directly, as an exercise in Bible discipline, which I always enjoy. And perhaps also as an example you may one day emulate.

God IS Spirit.
God Has 7 Spirits.
God Has a Soul.
All Souls ARE Gods.
Angels ARE spirits.

Inasmuch as Angels CAN and DO appear in the Likeness as a man, so ALSO CAN and HAS and SHALL God.
No one says they don't. And you prove the point, They become flesh temporarily in the likeness of man's body, not with God's image.

A Human Person IS A terrestrial (bodily) out of the Earth and Earth his Habitat/Estate.

A Person IS A Body WITH its Soul IN its Body.

A Dead body is no longer called a Person;
Because Living souls depart out of Human dead body’s.
Nothing here about the body being shaped by God in His image, which would make Him the first idolator of Himself on earth.

Also, when the dead body decays, how's that image of God working out for you?

When you see your backside in a mirror, do you think you glorify God's image? :)

In Heaven Gods Word came forth out from Gods Mouth and entered into A Body God Prepared and was sent to Earth to a particular Virgin’s womb, who was betrothed to a particular man of the House of David.

The child’s prepared body born out of that Virgin’s womb, was in the Likeness AS A “earthly Jewish man”…
Exactly. Once again, in the likeness of man's flesh and body, not of God's immortal body and Spirit.

With the resurrection of Jesus Christ, now we see the Son and Lamb with a glorified body in the glorified image and likeness of man.

But in the beginning God and the Word made no such bodily image from the dust of the earth.

(Do you see how I am actually addressing your arguments point by point? Let's continue...)
AND…the express image of Gods Person.
Now you err in carnal mindedness. Do you really think Jesus Christ is the express image of God's Person by the shape of His flesh?

Christ the Word is the exact image of His Person in pure, righteous, and holy living. He shows the brightness of God's glory in His life in heaven and also on earth, with the same flesh man has.

The image of man's body is neither the image of God's glorious Person, nor the brightness of His glory. Are you kidding me? Are you truly that blind to the things of the spirit and of life?

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus says plainly the flesh and shape of the flesh of man has absolutely nothing to do with God's expressed image walking after His Spirit, and His glorious brightness of holy living in all manner of conversation.

The words of God declaring man being created in God's image, is of the spirit and life of man, not the shape of his flesh.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:

Throughout Scripture, Gods head, hands, feet, legs, mouth, eyes, etc. are mentioned.
Ok. The evolutionary theologians are correct. God makes men and apes in His own image.

Not secular.
Carnal minded. Applying God's words that are spirit and life, to the natural body that profits nothing.

Both angels and men are created in the image of God, with reason, intelligence, and power to choose good or evil, just like God.

Angels have created immortal spirit bodies, and men have natural mortal bodies made from dust. The bodies have nothing to do with being created and conformed to the image of God and Christ Jesus His Son.

If the body is the image of God, then what kind of body must we pursue to be conformed to the image of Christ?

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
So then. Exactly what bodily image and shape must we strive for, in order to be conformed to the image of His Son's body?:contemplate:

If the body itself is the image of God, then no conforming is necessary. We're all already conformed to God's image from cradle to grave.

Or is it the image of Jesus' body we must conform to?

What hints does the Bible actually give us about how in shape Jesus was? Offhand I don't recall anything at all. I believe He had a beard, in order to be plucked off.

Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

Oh, I see, the shape of His flesh has nothing to do with being the express image of God's Person, nor the brightness of His glory. And so being conformed to the image of God and Christ, has nothing to do with a person's bodily image.

Well, back to overcoming temptation and living like Jesus in all holy conversation.

But hey, if any Christians want to contend in glory and honor with the pagan anthropomorphics, then by all means do so.

Fashion and shape your bodies as best you can to be conformed to the glorious image of the gods.

Naw, Neanderthals.
Might as well be. They all have as much chance at being the image of God's face, hands, back, and finger.

If God's words in Gen 1 were of flesh and blood, and not of spirit and life.

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Hasn't yet. Nor do I seek Him to do so.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. Not by sight.

But He has done so in temporary flesh and likeness of man, at least for Abraham and Jacob.

Just never in His own glorious image and shape, which no man has seen.

Once again, the title of the argument is not about God's having an immortal Spirit body, but that the image of that glorious body of God, is not man's bodily shape. Which we see everyday.

If you want to address the points of argument I make, please do. This is the last time I challenge you to stay on topic. Twice is enough.

What do you think this Spirit will look like.
Good question. Thanks.

Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.

God's Spirit body has no flesh and bones of man, and so is not shaped like flesh and bone bodies of man.

The man Christ Jesus' resurrected body is. Not the eternal God and Spirit's body.

Once again. If you want to address the argument, then do so.

The argument is not about God the Spirit having an immortal body, but what His shape is.

It's certainly not the shape of man, that we see all around us and in the mirror.

So, do you look at yourself in the mirror and say, "Look at all that glorious image of God!"

Do you visit the museums of the ancients to see the best images' of God on earth? You see, this idolatry was and is very real on earth today.

Some Christians preach it. I'm not sure why yet.

I do know that JW's preach the body is the soul and is the image of God, so that they can preach obliviating the body souls of the wicked in the scorching fire of earth. They just want to doctrinalize eternal torment into a parable only.

I'm not sure why some Christians preach idolizing men and women's bodies as the very images of God. Much of it is of course tradition without inspection. But seeing some dying hard to keep it, shows something more at play.

Simple pride of course explains much. But I just keep thinking there is something of the 'OSAS' element in it. Sort of like saying man is born with sin nature, and so it's the body's fault, that Christ makes, for sinning from cradle to grave.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

Scripture says Express Image of His Person.
Yes, I believe that.

God Prepared Jesus’ Body.

Jesus said to Philip, When Philip looked at Jesus he was seeing the Father.

Scripture never says Apes were made in the image and likeness of God.

Blood is the Life of a human man.
Jesus’ prepared body HAD to have PURE untainted BLOOD, because BLOOD, Pure untainted BLOOD is the ONLY thing God accepted as the SIN Offering for a mans SIN, and thereafter the man receive forgiveness of his SINS.
Jesus’ BLOOD is the LAST Pure BLOOD offering, and once a man ACCEPTS Jesus’ offering given on behalf of Faithful men…Once and Forever, that mans SIN AGAINST GOD (for having HAD DISBELIEF) is Forgiven, and that man can NO MORE SIN (disbelieve) AGAINST God.

Adam was NOT created with tainted Blood.
The natural man was designed to and could have LIVED forever, in his natural body….IF he had not DEFIED and DISOBEYED God.

Adam was created and made with pure blood, and the Tree of Life at his fingertips to sustain him forever.
Ah, but his life was cut short, because of his own disobedient choice….and only lived 930 years. And gradually we find mens life span decreasing and decreasing.

And although God Requires the Life (BLOOD) of man, it’s impure, and forgives nothing….Profits nothing!

A man communicates by through, of his soul.
Eyes…….body part…with a soul sees
Nose…….body part…with a soul smells
Tongue…body part….with a soul tastes
Mouth…..body part….with a soul speaks
Ears………body part….with a soul hears
Flesh…….body part…..with a soul feels touch

Gods Salvation of the soul, is restoration.
The seeing, smelling, tasting, speaking, hearing, touch….is redirected toward how God desires a man to communicate.

Gods Seed is that which births a mans New Spirit. That new spirit of man is for a mans ability to communicate with the Lord God…spirit to Spirit, in a method called Prayer. And the exchange of thoughts are not logic as the minds thinks and weighs options between this and that. Spirit to spirit and spirit to Spirit is pure TRUTH, as the man was Given the Spirit of Truth, when he was Baptized with the Holy Spirit.

The BODY of man shall be CHANGED…similar appearance, without flaws, and perfected…MADE holy, without sin.

Presently the SANCTIFIED, SAVE—ED and QUICKENED living man, STILL has his SIN (of when he did not BELIEVE) in his natural body.
It’s been washed, forgiven, is covered (with Gods in-dwelling Spirit, ie Power, ie LIGHT, that even God can NOT SEE that mans forgiven sin, and BTW, God no more remembers that mans Forgiven SIN.

The saved soul, The quickened spirt, The man having vowed a pledge of his body unto the Lord God….even though a man waits to see his changed body, IS ACCOUNTED (by God) as already accomplished, and that man is called; Healed and MADE WHOLE and Converted IN Christ the Lord Jesus.

Yes, saved and quickened men shall have Changed Body’s and be given white robes to wear and walk on two feet and eat from the Tree of Life.

Did God really say he made mankind in his image? Yes he did, so I'll take his word for it. Not to say there isn't more to it than literally stated. Because man is a tripartite being.

Scripture says Express Image of His Person.
Yes, I believe that.
And we both believe man and woman are made in God's image.

It's what God is revealing that we disagree on. I read the words of God as spirit and life, and you read them as flesh and blood.

The spirit and life of man and woman is made in God's image. Not the body of flesh and blood He shapes for us.

The spirit and life of Christ in heaven and on earth is the express image of God's Person. Not His flesh and blood.

God Prepared Jesus’ Body.
True. From the flesh of Mary by the seed of of David and Abraham.

Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

From the same flesh of Mary, and the same seed David in the flesh of Mary.

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

The wisdom of man's body being the image of God, is the foolishness of idolatry.

The Bible definition of an idolator is making man's likeness as the image of God.

Saying man's bodily shape is made in the image of God, is saying God's bodily image is in the likeness of man: Idolatrous Anthropomorphism 101.

Jesus said to Philip, When Philip looked at Jesus he was seeing the Father.

Carnal reading contradicts the Bible.

Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father.

And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

Your anthropomorphic religion of seeing the Father and His shape by man's body, is as unbiblical as that of any pagan's.

Spiritual reading of Jesus' words, is the spirit and life of His words. When we see Jesus' spiritual purity of life and holy walk on earth, we see the Father's same spirit and life in heaven.

Scripture never says Apes were made in the image and likeness of God.
You miss this point to. Just because the immortal God as a face, hands, back, and finger, doesn't mean His shape is that of man. Apes have the same.

And there are evolutionary theologians that teach God's image is first made that of 'prehistoric' sapiens, that progressively changes into that of modern man.

There argument is no different than yours, and just as legitimately wrong.

Blood is the Life of a human man.
Jesus’ prepared body HAD to have PURE untainted BLOOD, because BLOOD,

This is just more sin-nature excuse making for unrepented Christian sinners. Like your anthropomorphism, it also contradicts the Bible.

And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth,

No exceptions are being made by God for Adam nor Jesus. All men have the same flesh and blood, which Jesus Christ has come in.

You preach another christ of another kind of flesh and blood than man's.

It's a type of antichrist, who has come in the flesh, that is not of man, but of another.

I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

Adam was NOT created with tainted Blood.
Very good. No man nor beast is created by Christ with 'taint' in the flesh nor the blood.

Mortal flesh and blood is natural, not a 'taint' made by Christ.

The natural man was designed to and could have LIVED forever, in his natural body….IF he had not DEFIED and DISOBEYED God.
Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

Jesus' body was not made from the loins of Joseph, but of David's.

The natural see of all man was in the body of Jesus, by that of David and Abraham in the flesh of Mary's womb.

If Jesus' flesh was immortally different from that of other men, then so was David, Abraham, and Mary's.

Now your moving into a type of Mariology with Sacred Womb.
Adam was created and made with pure blood, and the Tree of Life at his fingertips to sustain him forever.
Your pagan theology of past age of golden heroes, is only good for Marvel movies similarly made of other pagan myths.

And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Ah, but his life was cut short, because of his own disobedient choice….and only lived 930 years.
Are you now also going completely carnal in unbelief, and saying Adam did not die that day he sinned?

Are you one of those naturalist Christian theologians, that say the soul and body of man are one and the same, and are never separated from one another?

Adam died as God warned the very day he sinned against God, and his soul died to His Spirit of life.

His body naturally died later. Just alike all natural flesh on earth.

The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh is grass, and all the goodliness thereof is as the flower of the field:
