Before we were born Jesus had ALREADY reconciled us and the world unto God, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19.
Everyone is ALREADY born saved. Jesus in our name and on our behalf has ALREADY fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law.
"For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no way pass from the law till all be fulfilled" Matthew 5:18.
Jesus in our name and on our behalf, has ALREADY atoned for our sins and the sins of the whole world, past, present and future.
"But God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8.
If you listen to the Catholic church and other religions, it is up to us to reconcile ourselves unto God. The reason that we cannot reconcile ourselves unto God by works and obedience to the law is because God does not accept the works and the obedience of sinners. God only accepts the works and the obedience of Jesus Christ; we are accepted only in him and because of him.
Paul: "That I might be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law (religion) but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith" Philippians 3:9.
Jesus is God's reconciler, Romans 3:26. Not the Catholic church. If you want to be saved and reconciled unto God, you will have to accept God's offer of reconciliation that has been provided by Jesus Christ. There is no other way.
"Jesus justifies the ungodly, Romans 4:5 and reconciles them unto God. "All things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given unto us (Christians) the ministry of reconciliation" 2 Corinthians 5:18.
"Now then we (Christians) are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be reconciled unto God" 2 Corinthians 5:20.
