Born Again or Christian? Is there a difference and what is your biblical support ?

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

We must be Born Again by the hand of God, before we are saved...Spirit gives birth to spirit?
We don’t do anything to be Born Again as God is the initiator....all the knowledge we need to know is the name of Jesus..that’s it in a nutshell.

No one knows when the Holy Spirit will zap them and make them Born Again, as the Holy Spirit is like the wind he is everywhere.....and you never know where he is going to next.

I have already explained that God draws us to Jesus, then he brings us to repentance/ Godly sorrow/ then he brings us to believe in Jesus....this is the process that he initiates.

You have God making a person dead in sin alive in sine, then saving them.

That does not work in any judicial system.. let alone to a perfect Judge such as God

I have not been making up my own stuff....you have done a good job of sowing confusion on this thread.

I post the word of God in its proper context, I pray that you start doing that...instead of sowing confusion everywhere you go on this forum.

I think what he may have meant is, All true Christians are born again, but not all who call themselves Christian are born again. So are not Christians in the true sense.

And apologies to red Baker if I misunderstood.

Paul expands on the new birth in his epistle written to the HEBREWS. Someone earlier in this thread that Jesus was rather vague as to the way to the womb which is above.

This in my opinion is where Paul can help us, too understand the way.

By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
— Hebrews 10:20

Most that are under the indoctrination of the Roman Catholic Church will insist that the vail that was rent was a literal curtain hanging in an old musty stone building. As one can see this is a complete contradiction to what Paul states in Hebrews.

Jesus says take up your Cross and follow me! Through the vail leading to the womb which is above, where one is separated when it pleases God.

Where it says...it is not possible to be Born Again and not be a Christian?

So far, all I have read are opinions, ...not one word from the word of God....therefore like my opinions, none of which are of Gods word.

SO....all of “ our” opinions don’t stand on the word of God....therefore all opinions on this thread are void of Gods truth.

Because there is no scripture covering this specific topic. In fact, the only time Christian is even used in the Bible is in the book of Acts, where it is noted that it was at the church in Antioch that believers were first called Christians.

Now as to my statement, it is merely a simple application of logical reasoning:

A) to be born again requires you to follow Christ* (see below)
B) the word 'Christian ' means 'follower of Christ'

Therefore, if you are born again, you are de facto a Christian.

*John 3:5-15

5Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You[c] must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. The folks spoken of in the verses were born again at one point

("depart from the faith" is not referring to sinners in the world who never came to faith in the first place)

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine (teaching); but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Jude 1:17-21

These are those who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.

("those who separate themselves" is not referring to sinners in the world who were never joined unto the Lord in the first place)
