The cross was needed in order that we can become Born Of the Spirit.
The cross did not make my spirit Born Again..I go by Gods Witness, then I check out what was witnessed to my heart/spirit with Gods word..and there it is.
There is NOTHING confusing about becoming Born Again by God Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit.
Man/ woman is the confused by adding their own spin on God’s word.
Anyway I will leave it there.
I also LOVE Gods Witness His Living Holy Spirit..leading His spirit child through God’s written word and bringing it to understanding in my spirit.
Wether I’m on milk or not,, it doesn’t matter..I’m fed the word by Gods Living Witness His Living Holy Spirit.thats whose food I crave.....growing up in the spirit is so very wonderful but it ain’t been easy, ‘tis a very narrow path that we walk and Praise God only His Spirit can keep me walking that path.....
That is where my security lies in my heart/ spirit....I have so much to learn in my heart/ spirit...by my teacher and only teacher the Holy Spirit...Praise God for that Honour and Privilege.
It’s an Honour to be a child of God.
His knowledge that he witnesses to my heart of the word, Blows my mind, every time he reveals something to my heart/ spirit that I don’t understand....... only He has the power to open Gods written words to our heart/ spirit.
your right, there is nothing confusing Its called the simplicity in christ
1. We are dead in tresspasses and sin, and must be made alive or born again (john 3, Eph 2) because the wage of sin is death (rom 6: 23) and as God showed through the law. Cursed is anyone who does not obey every word, (deut 27: 23 along with Paul repeating in Gal 3: 10) and for this reason. As James affirms, if we even stumble in one part. We are found guilty of the whole of the law (James 2: 10 whoever keeps it all. Yet stumble in one point is guilty of all
2. Because of this, NO ONE, yes, God said NO ONE can be justified by the law (gal 3: 11) in fact. Paul says if we seek to be justified by the law, we are estranged from Christ (God)
3. This means our righteousness can not save us, Because our righteousness falls short (rom3: 23, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God) so God had to provide another way since we are guilty and without hope
4. The law showed us this way. As did Moses (john 3) and innocent without blemish (representing without the stain of sin) would have to die and make atonement for the lost sinner)
5. Jesus tells us that is exactly what he came to do. Not to judge, but to save, how would he save? We he told us, Not only in John 3, but in other areas as well. He was lifted on the cross. And became our sin offering. an offering of atonement to the lost. So that whoever believes in him, will not continue in death, But be made alive. That life being eternal life.
6. He tells us, whoever receives him, will become a child of God (john 1) Whoever believes in him will be born again (john 3) whoever sees and believes will never die, but they will live forever (john 6)
7. It not according to the law (how good we are) but our faith that saves us
Acts 13: 39
he who believes (has faith) is justified in ALL THINGS
Romans 3: 28, we see that man is
justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law (how good they are)
Gal 2: 16 - knowing that a
man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ
8. You see, the law was a tutor. which was supposed to bring Israel to christ, they they might have the ability to be justified by Faith (Gal 3: 24) but it did not. And now should bring us to christ, sadly, Like israel many of us has failed to see the law as what it is also. It is a tutor to lead us to christ.
How?
1. The law exposes we all have sinned -
ROM 3: 20 - Through the law comes knowledge of sin, NOT justification
So you see there is the gospel
1. All have sinned and fall short
2. The wage of sin is death
3. God did not leave us in our sin, but he made the way.
4. As the law showed. The way was his death on the cross. As John said, behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
5. Jesus said, whoever believes in him, will no longer be dead (perish) but will live forever (eternal life)
In conclusion, Jesus said it best
He who believes is not condemned (faith)
He who does not believe is condemned already (no faith or faith in self not God)
The simplicity in christ. that anyone who is really seeking because they feel God drawing them to him, can get into the word and any question they have may be answered.
