If Donald J does what he said he's going to do -- and I believe he will knowing full well this time around what he's up against ---
my guess would be that the Reps are going to be governing for the next 12 years.

Just as the Dems have governed 12 out of the last 16 years and look where it's gotten us.

We want to be SO NICE....and kicked every time.

How do we move on when the American populace has spoken and we still have Governors of some states declaring that they're going to stop Trump's endeavor to deport illegals??

You can safely ignore their comments - they are simply running their mouths, as politicians do. The states don't have any sort of mandate to enforce immigration policy, and until recently none of them did. If they simply do nothing and let the Federal government handle it, that will work fine.

If the states actively try to obstruct enforcement, they will (ironically) run afoul of the recent ruling in US vs Texas, where the Supreme Court held that the Executive Branch of government has ultimate discretion over whether (or not) to pursue prosecution and/or deportation of illegals.

Agreed: even though their world views are completely different, it would be good to find those few we might could turn toward the light, if they would only question their secular, self-centered, power-hungry, supercilious, . . . , beliefs.

Even if they have a different “moral compass“ (), they are still neighbors.

Hold no grudges, bear no ill will, let go any animosity (although complete reconciliation might be too much).

Because if you kick the Democrats when they're down, you'll give them ammunition to help them win the next election. Plus it's never good to kick someone when they are down.
