OOPS!! =
Mark 16:16
He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.=NOT he that is not baptized shall be damned. THINK!!

So you think Jesus misspoke when He said "He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved"

Do you think He made any other errors, or was this His only error? clueless-scratching.gif

His comment makes no sense because if you don't believe, you won't do anything at all. It's a really dumb argument, dumb logic, and dumb statement.

Can you explain what saved means?

My understanding, you can’t be saved, not until one’s spirit is Born Again by divine revelation, just as the written word says?

Born Again then we are saved from eternal damnation?

You can’t follow instructions on how to be Born Again then saved from eternal damnation....being Born Of The Spirit can only come by divine revelation....the Bible explains how we are Born Again....reading scripture does not mean one is Born Again, it doesn’t birth your spirit into the Spirit Of God.....as the written word explains it can only come by divine revelation.

"He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved"

He that believeth In Jesus and is baptised( Born Again) will be saved from eternal damnation.

One’s spirit must be Born Again then we are saved from eternal damnation.

Mark 16:16 - He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Amen! 1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.

That's part of the requirements as was done by the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. But after he believed and confessed his belief, he asked what would hinder him from being baptized, so it's obvious that part of Philip's preaching of the gospel to him also included the need to be baptized, which he then did.

Also, the Jews on the day of Pentecost were told to likewise be baptized for the remission of sins as well as repent. So, there you have the sum total of salvation requirements along with confession per Romans 10.

Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet what is the ONE requirement that Jesus mentions NINE different times in each of these complete statements *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.

John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So, if he who believes will be saved then he who believes and is baptized will be saved as well. However, it's the lack of belief that causes condemnation and not the lack of baptism. Jesus made no errors here. It's those who teach "baptized or condemned" who are in error.

You continue to go to GREAT lengths to try to manipulate the simple, straightforward, words of the bible by adding assumed words youve made up, assuming that all scriptures contain or should contain a complete message repeatedly, and using your illogical logic to justify silly positions that are contrary to the bible. Keep going! It's funny to watch you going through all these mental gyrations to arrive at ridiculous conclusions! Hahaha!

Do you believe Peter was listening to devils when he said

Acts 2:37.38

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Do you believe Jesus was listening to devils when he said

Mark 16:16

He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Do you believe Peter was listening to devils when he said

1 Peter 3:21

The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

Do you believe Paul was listening to devils when he said

Colossians 2:11-13

In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;

Do you believe Paul was listening to devils when he said

Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Too bad some think Jesus was misinformed and told us wrong about being baptized.

Water Baptism follows Salvation........it does not cause it, as the MaryCult teaches its deceived.

There are countless people who have been Born again, and were never water baptized, or were water baptized later.

Let me list a few for you..

1.) Dying Thief on the Cross

2.) Millions in Marxist or Islamic Countries who are not allowed to own a bible or to become a Chrisitan.......yet they do........and they are not water baptized, at time time or NEVER at all.

3.) Someone in a Prison Cell....who trusts in Christ and becomes a Christian.........there is no water baptism in their prison cell, yet they just became born again.

4.) Death Bed Conversion.............say.........in a Cancer ward........3am.........about to die........and they Trust in Christ and are saved, on their death bed, and then they DIE.....or maybe they live.........= no water baptism at that time, and they are become a Christian.

5.) Acts 8... the Etheopian Eunuch.. was shown to be water baptized after he was born again .

6.) "behold"..........me............i was water baptized 11 yrs after i was born again. I was called into the Ministry, after i was born again, and years before i was water baptized.

Water Baptism follows Salvation........it does not cause it

Yes, it follows becoming a believer

But without baptism one cannot be truly saved according to Jesus

Jesus said the same thing thru the Apostle Peter in Acts when the folks asked what should they do to be saved

Acts 2:37,38
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Unless you are like the thief on the cross who has no opportunity to be baptized (such as someone on their death bed), according to Jesus one can only be born again and have their past sins washed away once they repent of their sins confessing Jesus as their Lord and Savior and get water baptized

Those claiming this is not true are saying Jesus was misinformed and told us wrong about being baptized.

Yet they will try to play both sides claiming Jesus cannot lie and then turn aground and say He lied by claiming we do not need to be baptized when Jesus very clearly said we do as part of being saved.

These people are confused and speak from a confused mindset not believing the Lord

That's not Jesus, that's Peter., and thats not the Gospel...that is "john the Baptist's messages to the Jews" that Peter is giving to all those Jews during Pentecost.........and that is Today.. June 8.....that its being celebrated, here and there.

At that time Peter didnt know that gentiles could be saved and later in Acts 15, he met Paul and Paul taught him "The Gospel".

So, "repent and be water baptized".....is not the Gospel.

Now........ its the Catholic Church that teaches what you are now teaching. @Big Boy Johnson

its called....>"Baptismal Regeneration"...........or..... "Born again.......By Water"., and noone is born again BY water.
As a sinner is born again by the Holy Spirit, and no water is required.

That's not Jesus, that's Peter

Your view is that the Biblical writers were NOT being led by the Holy Spirit?

Jesus said the Holy Spirit would lead and guide believers in to all truth and that God's Word is truth

its the Catholic Church that teaches what you are now teaching. @Big Boy Johnson

I just quoted the Book of Acts and what the Apostle said under the unction and anointing of the Holy Spirit that was in agreement with what Jesus said.

You'll have to forgive me because I'm going with what Jesus says and what Jesus says thru His Apostles who wrote the New Testament.

It's the devil trying to deceive people in to believing Jesus lied and His Apostles were not being led by the Holy Spirit to write what they wrote. I'll pass on being deceived, but thanks for the offer just the same.

My question to all is a real simple one .
You do realize it is possible to many to lip His name , claiming to beleive on HIM
and yet sure do follow another jesus .
The key to believing IS BELIEVING . many dont seem to Beleive HIS words and that will present to their destruction
on the DAY of the LORD .
Now you might be asking why i wrote this reminder .
Cause many follow men who twisted things . This is but a general reminder to us all .
Let it encourage all . And encourage them to get back into the bible to learn OF HIM for their selves .
Again this is but a general reminder for us all .

So, because the inspired NT writers weren't too smart and their language was too simplistic and confusing, it takes someone like you to clarify and restate what they really meant and were trying to say, right? Good thing we got people like you around to clarify the simplistic words of the inspired writers of scripture! Thank the Lord for people like you that can clarify what God's writers wrote because they were too dumb to write what they meant!
