Baptism is obeying Jesus AFTER you believe, confess and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior!!
Yes! Just like the Ethiopian eunuch did in Acts 8, and then he was immediately baptized!
OOPS!! =
Mark 16:16
He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.=NOT he that is not baptized shall be damned. THINK!!
His comment makes no sense because if you don't believe, you won't do anything at all. It's a really dumb argument, dumb logic, and dumb statement.Sop you think Jesus misspoke when He said "He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved"
Do you think He made any other errors, or was this His only error? View attachment 43061
Can you explain what saved means?Time is very short so make the right choice today!!
How to be saved (born again) and join the family of God!!!..
Amen! 1 Corinthians 12:3 - Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God calls Jesus accursed, and no one can say that Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit.Believe the eternal truth of God.s Word!!!!
Romans: Chapter 10 verse 9-10-13 GOD SAYS=
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in your heart that God hath raised him
from the dead, thou shalt be Saved. For with the heart man
believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession
is made unto Salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the
name of the Lord shall be Saved.......
That's part of the requirements as was done by the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8. But after he believed and confessed his belief, he asked what would hinder him from being baptized, so it's obvious that part of Philip's preaching of the gospel to him also included the need to be baptized, which he then did.Time is very short so make the right choice today!!

Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."Sop you think Jesus misspoke when He said "He that believeth AND is baptized shall be saved"

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet what is the ONE requirement that Jesus mentions NINE different times in each of these complete statements *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.
John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
So, if he who believes will be saved then he who believes and is baptized will be saved as well. However, it's the lack of belief that causes condemnation and not the lack of baptism. Jesus made no errors here. It's those who teach "baptized or condemned" who are in error.
You continue to go to GREAT lengths to try to manipulate the simple, straightforward, words of the bible by adding assumed words youve made up, assuming that all scriptures contain or should contain a complete message repeatedly, and using your illogical logic to justify silly positions that are contrary to the bible. Keep going! It's funny to watch you going through all these mental gyrations to arrive at ridiculous conclusions! Hahaha!Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. Do you believe Peter was listening to devils when he said
Acts 2:37.38
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Do you believe Jesus was listening to devils when he said
Mark 16:16

Do you believe Peter was listening to devils when he said
1 Peter 3:21
The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:
Do you believe Paul was listening to devils when he said
Colossians 2:11-13
In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
Do you believe Paul was listening to devils when he said
Romans 6:4
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

No mental gymnastics. Nothing illogical. No Iflawed hermeneutics. No Campbellism theories. No distorting and perverting passages of scripture in an effort to "patch together" a works based false gospel. I simply harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching the proper conclusion on doctrine. You only care about accommodating your biased church doctrine at all costs. Laugh it up all you want. The joke is on you.You continue to go to GREAT lengths to try to manipulate the simple, straightforward, words of the bible by adding assumed words youve made up, assuming that all scriptures contain or should contain a complete message repeatedly, and using your illogical logic to justify silly positions that are contrary to the bible. Too bad some think Jesus was misinformed and told us wrong about being baptized.
Water Baptism follows Salvation........it does not cause it
Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
That's not Jesus, that's Peter
its the Catholic Church that teaches what you are now teaching. @Big Boy Johnson
My question to all is a real simple one .Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. So, because the inspired NT writers weren't too smart and their language was too simplistic and confusing, it takes someone like you to clarify and restate what they really meant and were trying to say, right? Good thing we got people like you around to clarify the simplistic words of the inspired writers of scripture! Thank the Lord for people like you that can clarify what God's writers wrote because they were too dumb to write what they meant! No mental gymnastics. Nothing illogical. No Iflawed hermeneutics.
