Will Christ utter new words in a Premil millennium?

I had a conversation with a Premil friend of mine about how he can be sure the millennium hasn’t already occurred. In a nutshell, he said that during the millennium Christ will be ruling and His words during that time will be recorded and His words will not pass away. Since we currently don’t have His words from the millennial rule, we can know for certain it hasn’t happened.

I said how do we know whether or not Christ will actually utter any words during the millennium, other than what has already been written? His only response was that it should be obvious that Christ will be speaking many words during His reign.

I’ve been thinking about this and does the Premil position also mean that the cannon of Scripture is not yet complete? I know the Revelation 22:18-19 warning is if any man add or subtract, but an argument can certainly be made that Christ is not in view in those verses.

So will there be new chapters or books added to the Bible during the Premil millennium? Can there be more time added in somewhere after the millennium by Christ uttering new prophecies? Or could it be possible that Christ doesn’t speak at all during the millennium?

I’m not trying to debate anything, I’m just curious what others think about this.

He said not one jot or title will pass away.

He will always operate and function within the Word of God that has already been spoken

If He says anything new, it will be within the Word of God that has already been spoken because He cannot lie.

Jesus is the One who is going to lock up the devil and all His demons.

His reign is because He is all powerful and has already defeated the punk forces of darkness.

Okay good so yes Jesus reigns because of who He is and not because satan is bound, but will their be peace and no sin because satan is bound?

Sure, I’m not implying that Jesus will go against what has already been written. But where does it say He couldn’t add in something that would still keep all the other words already spoken true?

For instance why couldn’t Christ add in an extra 7,000 years in between the millennium and Satan’s little season? Satan being loosed after the millennium would still be true just an extra 7,000 years added in between, kinda like 2,000 years in between the 69th and 70th week of Daniel.

At first I thought this was a strange topic, but when I thought more about it, I have to agree that it does seem odd that nothing specific would be written about anything Jesus says or does during the supposed future thousand years on the earth. I think this is a legitimate question for Premils to address. Why would nothing Jesus said and nothing He did during the supposed future thousand years on earth be recorded? That would be very strange.

I don't think anyone here believes that scripture is not complete and that more will be added to it at some point, so I would like to know how Premils would explain nothing specific about anything Jesus says or does during the thousand years would be written and recorded. If it was, it would be new scripture, but I'm sure no one would want to claim there will ever be any new scripture written.

Here is something you probably didn't think of. Look at the mess caused by one view interpreting something in this manner, another view interpreting that same thing in another manner, so on and so on. The point being, assuming someone is right, not everyone can be right, though. Therefore, it will probably take a thousand years just to straighten out that mess. IOW, during the thousand years Christ reveals the correct meaning of these highly debatable Scriptures. Which means He doesn't say anything new, so to speak. He just brings to light the true meanings of these Scriptures in question in the OT and NT.

Ok, fair enough. If Christ doesn’t add anything new then we should be able to come up the rod of iron rules based solely on what the scriptures say. Where in the Bible would you say those rules are? The Ten Commandments?

Yes, I agree. Although I think many Premils will include verses such as Zechariah 14:18 as a rod of iron rule that we currently aren’t judged for but people in the Premil millennium will be judged for.

Zechariah 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

That is unfortunate.
That would suggest God still overlooks ignorance.... but he doesn't.

Act 17
