Therefore, while the promise of entering His rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be deemed to have fallen short of it. 2For we also received the good news just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, since they did not share the faith of those who comprehended it.a

3Now we who have believed enter that rest. As for the others, it is just as God has said:

“So I swore on oath in My anger,

‘They shall never enter My rest.’”b

And yet His works have been finished since the foundation of the world. 4For somewhere He has spoken about the seventh day in this manner: “And on the seventh day God rested from all His works.”c 5And again, as He says in the passage above: “They shall never enter My rest.”

6Since, then, it remains for some to enter His rest, and since those who formerly heard the good news did not enter because of their disobedience, 7God again designated a certain day as “Today,” when a long time later He spoke through David as was just stated: “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”d

8For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not have spoken later about another day. 9There remains, then, a Sabbath rest for the people of God. 10For whoever enters God’s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from His. 11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.

but even when the law and moses is read
many still have the VEIL upon the heart . THEY cannot see david .
They simply cannot see exactly what the ENTIRE law , prophets
from genesis and onwards
WAS POINTING TO ALL ALONG .
Where there is no neither jew nor gentile
but CHRIST IS ALL in all HIS beleivers .
THE OLD MIDDLE wall , HAS BEEN BROKEN DOWN .
There was the temple built under the law patterened after the heavenly
there was the blood of bulls and of goats
for a time till THE TIME CAME .
There was a rest to the people of GOD under the law
AND NOW THERE IS THE REST OF GOD ALL MIGHTY
not patterned after the heavenly , BUT THE HEAVENLY ITSELF .
as there is THE HEAVENLY TEMPLE .
MANY have not entered into the rest of GOD
but rather continue to rest in that which cometh of man .
THE VEIL is upon them
But FOR the sheep
JESUS has lifted the veil . THEY KNOW exactly WHO TO POINT TOO and WHO TO HONOR .

who also wrote in hebrews , LABOR TO ENTER INTO THAT REST .

Far be it for me to dispute scripture. However, I believe I differ from what you think it is saying. Nowhere does that passage state the 4th commandment is cancelled... Or changed. Paul is talking about Israel. Their rest was contingent on obedience. It was disobedience that kept them from attaining what God was offering. How has that precept changed?? Since when do we enter into the promised rest in a state of disobedience to the very commandment Paul referenced? In fact Paul said,

Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.”

And...

11Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience.

How can you obey a commandment that has been cancelled? You can't.
Nor can you obey a commandment without faith and believing it stands. You are not exercising faith by presuming the commandment has been annulled or changed into something the scripture does not affirm.

There is nothing here that says the Sabbath is done away with or has been replaced by Jesus…

No amount of theology can create a pretense of salvation in a state of disobedience. We lost the kingdom through disobedience to an explicit command of the Most High. And we presume to regain the kingdom without any change to our hearts and manner of living?

Now i am GLAD you understand that the Christians today are in the same predicament as the Jews who read the scriptures daily.

They are not seeing the FULNESS of CHRIST in the Gospel that extends back to the BEGINNING and Forward to the END

How has the Sabbath been fulfilled? Did Jesus come to do away with the Sabbath by fulfilling it? What tells you that? The Sabbath was created as a 7th day, and the ONLY holy day at creation by God. It was not created for Jews but for man. Then, when Moses was given the 10 commandments on Mt. Sinai, it was God who included this command within them... and this is the only one He started with "Remember." Again, this is not a Jewish thing, it is a man thing. It is a holy day, not a ceremony given to Moses to record in Leviticus. What did Jesus fulfill at His coming? Does 9:24 come to mind? Does He or anyone claim the Sabbath has been done away with or even fulfilled?

Christ also fulfilled the 7th commandment right? I'm sure you're wife would be very interested if you apply your conclusions to that Commandment as you have the 4th.
