I want to know what people believe and why they believe it.

Reading a translation of the Quran helps me to know what over two billion people believe and why they believe it.

I care about what the Quran says.

I recently finished reading this book. Excellent. Without a doubt, I learned the most from the sections discussing Islam. Having an English translation of the Quran on hand - a gift from my Muslim friend years ago - was helpful in checking context.

I recommend Chilton’s book and reading a translation of the Quran.
How about a synopsis

Let's have some snippets - AND - don't be shy

“Since the Abrahamic monotheisms have inscribed the model of the willing sacrificial victim - be it Isaac, Christ, or Isma’il - within the moral conscience of three millennia of believers, what kind of children would they produce except those prepared to sacrifice their lives for their faith, or - in the secular version of the same Abrahamic reflex - for an ideology, a country, or a cause?”

(p. 194)

”Abraham’s curse is not inevitable, in my view, but continuing reliance on the failed responses of the past will inevitably bring failure, at an ever-escalating cost.”

(p. 195)

“The time is now for the same Abrahamic religions that have brought their followers to the precipice and beyond the precipice on many, many occasions, to find a safe way down from Mount Moriah.

(p. 195)

“The Scriptures of Israel, the New Testament, and the Qur’an have much in common, but they do not share a conviction in the inevitability of sacrificial violence. The wisdom and power of these texts, read with attention, is that they contradict Abraham’s curse. The Abrahamic Aqedahs, together with their interpretive traditions, indeed articulate the impulse toward human sacrifice encoded within the myths and reflexes of many civilizations, but they also provide means by which that impulse can be, and has been, turned aside from what seems an inevitable holocaust.”

(p. 197)

”… the outcome of the Aqedah in the grounding sources of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam - the Torah, the Gospels, and the Qur’an respectively - is not ineluctable slaughter, but the descent from the mount of sacrifice of both parent and child. That departure from Moriah is the sign of the blessing of Abraham. The clarity and power of Abraham’s blessing is designed to reverse the curse.”

(p. 198)

A former Muslim said a lot of Muslims don't know what the Quran says. She went on to read it and was horrified. She became a Christian.

They are usually born into Islam and if they depart it, they might be killed or at least disowned by their family and other Muslims. So unless the Lord gives them a miracle to get them out of it, they remain Muslim.

I used to email a young Arab man in Saudi Arabia....he kept his faith in Christ secret from everyone.

Have you read a translation of the Quran for yourself?

No, but I've seen portions of it.

There were thirty different Qurans. Because it denies the crucifixion and Christ dying for our sins, and makes Jesus Christ only a prophet, I know it is false. Also, Mohammad, a pedophile, is considered greater than our sinless Jesus Christ, our Savior!!!

A few proofs the Quran was man made by Dr. Jay Smith.

Thirty Qurans explained by Dr. Jay Smith.

You should read it for yourself. You’ll find that there are things written in it that you’ll be able to agree with.

Christians NEED to focus on the Holy Scriptures which guarantee Eternal life to those who Believe the words of God.

Most christians today barely know the Scriptures.

Christians also NEED to make disciples.

You’ve met a man or woman who’s told you, “I couldn’t care less about what the Bible says.”

What’s your next move?

Most christians today barely know the Scriptures.

Then most Christians today aren’t equipped to make disciples. We might even say that most Christians today aren’t Christians; Christians in name only.

#1 - Cannot make a disciple of JESUS until you become a disciple of JESUS

#2 - After becoming a disciple of JESUS one MUST PRAY for the Holy Spirit

#3 - After receiving the Holy Spirit one must study the Holy Scriptures

#4 - This is the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE that flows from God thru us by which we become His Witnesses

Your next move - if that’s what your response is - doesn’t move the needle.

Your method of evangelism isn’t effective. That man or woman is going to walk away from you.
They be dead men walking who will have living words deposited in them.

What happens next is God's Call = not mine or yours or anyone's but God

I have no genuine interest in you = no evangelism success.
