Because this sheep knows by grace TRUTH when i hear or read it .
but many are as pilate who asked JESUS
but what is TRUTH .
The sheep know HIS VOICE .
And i know full well the bible IS HIS TRUTH .
What , dont you know what truth sounds like .
DO we know the TRUTH when we see and hear it
or are we as many who at best can only discern truths but NOT THE TRUTH ITSELF .
SO , lets bible up shall we . Get busy learning for ourselves .
Amen...I can read the apocrypha or the gnostics gospels and discern they are not true scripture.

Reader take heed .
I noticed you said until i die my words will continue to be expressed . well that is true .
And GOD who never dies will never stop expressing His own words and thoughts . TRUE .
But GOD , unlike man CANNOT LIE .
And GOD unlike man WILL NOT CONTRADICT HIMSELF .
SO , LETS BIBLE UP SHALL WE
because no matter the fact that GOD still speaks to us today
ANY thought or any voice we think we hear and beleive is OF GOD
that contradicts the scripture , IT AINT OF GOD AT ALL .
Lets keep that IN MIND shall we .
So God's words are as real, genuine, powerful, effective, profitable be they spoken millions, thousands, hundreds or tens of years ago. In fact, His words revealed to me this morning are equal to any of His expressed thoughts be they recorded or not.

Thrrefore the truths found recorded in the bibles are but a drop in the ocean. Still God's words none the less. Again, personally I love God and His words.

Exactly. Not just some Christians but most Christians are very selective about which "TRUTHS" they wish to pay attention to. Like those who selected what fragments of writings should be collated and form the bible.

Of course this book only contains extremely selective truths which God has given over time to angels and humans.
Someone had to put it together then others can along and removed some

Yet whether they, God's words, found their way into or out of the bibles does not take away the truth that God's Word will forever remain God's expressed thoughts.

God's word does not magically attract extra power because it is written down or not. Every Word that proceeds from His mouth after it is expressed has, is and forever will exist.

I seek and find God's words wherever I go. He continues to communicate with me no matter the time or place. This is awesome.

It may not be essential if a person lives and worships God in spirit and truth, as they will understand their own hearts without needing scripture. However, scripture is valuable to have and reflect upon. Unfortunately, some individuals may worship it more than the Creator Himself.

People can make the Bible an idol itself. If they are not careful.

Of course. Yes, this is a given if one doesn't maintain a personal relationship with God Himself.

Many leaders in organisations have slowly disengaged with God and are left with one thing. Their knowledge of the bible and using it to control who are willing to subject themselves to those leaders.

These leaders can only go as far as their bibles can take them.

Outside of this they are ignorant of God's ongoing revelations. They lack the forever unfolding of truth, the words of God, the all truth, every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Why? They have forsaken the Holy Spirit and replaced him with a closed written document, textbook, user manual.

There is only one place where you can find "God's word" and it was compiled by humans with the assistance of the holy spirit

Because there were tons of writings and how could anyone know which were good and which werent good?
Again, WHO was told by Jesus or His Father to collect scrolls, tie them together and call it 'God's word', 'Word of God', 'scriptures', 'bible'?

I've never heard of anyone claiming to have received instructions to carry out such a task, have you?

None of the apostles or church fathers have been recorded as being told to do compile a bible. Nor anyone within the church over the past 2000 years have claimed to be commanded by the Holy Spirit to create a biblical canon.

But maybe you have. Please give us any evidence that God ever did. And if so, which bible, the one with 11 books, 73, 66, 88, 80?

Why did someone have to put it together?
And you just asked the right question .
We , as in the apostels , have a more sure word of prophecy
and that same apostel when writing to the church , as well as other apostles ,
KNEW the peoples always would need to be stirred up by way of remembrance .
And they made darn sure we would have those letters to read .
Peter answers YOUR question . And i suggest we get real busy
reminding one another of that truth daily . BIBLE TIME in the building .
only a hater of truth
would have any kind of problem with a man
reminding us all of the dire need to stay stirred up in them scriptures
As well . ONLY a lover of their sin which that bible does expose
would try and make a man who says and reminds of the dire need to be reading the bible , SEEM as legalistic
or worshipping a book .
WHY
cause in that lovely book there is a sin they love and they WANT NO REMINDER that it is wrong .
Facts are facts . And while i condemn no man
For i was worst of many , Hold not thy breath waiting for me to even give pause
to my reminders that WE DO NEED to be in the bible as well as in prayer daily .

That's a good way of putting it.

Thank you for your comments @One 2 question.

You can really see how Jesus interacted with the Pharisees in his time—he consistently pointed them back to worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth. Sadly, many of them had grown spiritually hardened, focusing more on strict rule-keeping than on truly honoring God. That kind of heart posture eventually led to consequences, as outlined in the Law. But thankfully, Yeshua came to fulfill that Law and usher in the gift of grace.

I do think there are quite a few pastors who may not fully grasp the depth of Scripture—often relying more on what they've been taught in school than on personal study. That’s why I believe it’s so important to go back into the Word ourselves. It’s about genuinely searching, studying, and making sure what’s being preached lines up with the truth.

Personally, I'm someone who’s slow to place blind trust in anyone. I encourage others to seek wisdom for themselves and grow in their spiritual journey—from spiritual infancy to becoming mature sons and daughters in Christ. And through that process, we begin to recognize that it’s Christ working in us—his righteousness, his goodness. So we give the glory to the Lord our God for allowing us access to him, all because of Yeshua and his beautiful sacrifice.

Thank you for your comments @One 2 question.

You can see how Jesus handled things with the Pharisees in his day. Jesus was always pointing them back to worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth, but because their hearts had become so harden, with their harsh ways of rule keeping rather than worshiping of God himself, in that day had caused them a curse to become destroyed.
Oh if we read the bible we sure can see HOW JESUS dealt with the unrepentant pharisees of HIS day .
AND it darn sure was not this seeker friendly approach either .
How much ya bet HE CORRECTED their error and exposed them and even called them HYRPROCITES
blind leading the blind .
Oh HE always spoke truth and always Pointed to the Father . Yes that HE DID DO .
AND how he often warned the blind leading the blind .
Heck even peter , i think and a few of the apostels
told him , LORD dont you know what you said to them OFFENDED THEM .
And reader take note , JESUS did not then try and tell them
OH dear , maybe i was a bit harsh , maybe i was too grave
HEY peter lets try and down tone our warnings , maybe offer them hugs and coffee .
NO SIR .
HE said the words that would make most souls today CRINGE IN TERROR
and even accuse him , AS they do the brethren today , of being a monster , hater , no love , not loving , just judging .
HERE were HIS WORDS to his own apostels .
LEAVEN THEM BE , they BLIND leaders of the BLIND
and every plant MY FATHER has NOT PLANTED , WILL BE ROOTED UP .
DESTRUCTION mathew . not hugs , donuts and a sensual love .
WHY o why is todays view on sins within the church , SO DARN different
than those of the aposetles
And why o why do so many RUN OFF men who do try and correct .
Its easy .
PEOPLE WANT THE SMOOTH Things that promise them life
wont expose their sins , lets them just live as their lustful hearts desire to live .
WE have serious problems mathew . So please dont feel this is hate or judgmental
when i say to you , GET BACK IN THE BIBLE FOR YOURSELF .

Perhaps there is something I forget too, the spiritual hardness, spiritual deadness, spiritually constrained, is not a good place to be compared to being made spiritually alive in Christ. @Jay Ross, Something you said also reminds me of these things on another thread.

The state of the hardened heart.

It was by the Holy Spirit that Jesus was, is and will continue to remind us of what He said and did. I know this by my experience of a personal direct relationship with Holy Spirit.

And for your sake and others who needs tangible evidence of written records, It was written,

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

I already know the SPIRIT still speaks to us .
But it darn sure aint gonna omit , twist and remove TRUTH IN SCRIPTURE .
too many living by what seems good and feels right and they darn sure beleive its of the SPIRIT .
ONLY IT DARN SURE AINT at all OF THE SPIRIT . So
lets bible up shall we and learn and be refreshed in
TRUTH and test all men against TRUTH .

The Church decided the canon

That's false.

The Lord Jesus Christ decided what ggoes in His canon and what is to be left out that the servants of satan tried to have put in.

Those who refuse to believe the Lord lacks the power, authority, or ability to control what went in to His canon don't know Who it is they are dealing with because they don't know Him.

What qualifies you to question the formation of the bible?

Having a devil qualifies people to question the Lord

The devil has always sought to deceive people in to not believing what God says.
