Let me show you a simple way to understand God's """Gift of Salvation"""", that Is Jesus's blood and death that is GIFTED to you, as "the Gift of Salvaiton", that is the New Covenant, that is the Eternal Blood Atonement.

Now......some of you, went to College on a FULL SCHOLARSHIP, or know someone who did.

A Scholarship, that is a FULL Scholarship......... pays for your College Education.

So, here is the reality...... Its because you HAVE RECEIVED the FULL Scholarship.......that you get to go and LEARN in a College for Free.

Now,

Salvation.......Is Jesus's finished work on The Cross, whereby He has lived a sinless life, kept all the Law and 10 Commandments, and then dies as a Sacrifice to God as God's Salvation offered FREELY for YOU....and ME.......so that our sin can be eternally forgiven, = .....SALVATION that we can receive from God, for free, = what Jesus has completed..... Or as He told us from The Cross..."IT, (Salvation)... is Finished-Accomplished".

See that?

Salvation is completed.... Jesus on The Cross is God's completed Salvation... as proven by the Resurrection.....and its given as a eternal Gift from God, to anyone and everyone who BELIEVES......(Trusts in Christ).......our "Faith is counted by God.. as (Christ's) Righteousness"... given to us for Free.

So, in the same way that a Scholarship is a full payment....so we find that Jesus's Cross, where He sacrificed Himself on our behalf to God, is the FULL Payment for our Salvation the we have received from God... (if you are born again.)

Now, if you have that College Scholarship, then its alreadys YOURS.....and now you go and learn and learn and learn.

And so it is with God's "Gift of Salvation"........Now that you have received it as "the Gift of Salvation">........you are to learn how to exist within it......and that is your discipleship.

And when you have learned ....... you have "worked out your Salvation"......and until you do that, you are a baby Christian who has a lot to learn.

And once your have LEARNED the revelation knowledge that is related to understanding your Salvation perfectly, (that you have been given) .....then Paul said this about you....

"As many as be PERFECT".......

See that? That is not behavior.........that is Spiritual and Theological KNOWLEGE regarding Who you have become....as a "new Creation" in CHRIST.,. Its the revelation of who you have become "in Christ"......as "one with God"......and how to use this revelation knowledge by existing in it always as REAL FAITH.
When you get there........you have "put on the Helmet of Salvation", because you have "worked it out".

Some, put it on the Day they received Christ, because they understood fully that their Salvation is not what they do...but what Has been Given to them as "The Gift of Salvation".....and for some, it can take 50 yrs for them to understand God's Gift...and then they will finally stop trying to keep themselves saved, as they have now finally "gotten the revelation" of "The GIFT of Salvation".
Some are saved 60 yrs, and die, and never have they "worked out their salvation".
They died in the baby crib, a baby christian, who was was saved 60 yrs, and never understood The Cross of Christ as "God's GIFT of Salvation".
They died and went to Heaven, still trying to earn their way there.......when in fact they were "seated in heavenly places in Christ" the instant they were saved 60 yrs ago.

Now, how do you know you are in the baby chair training chair, and have a lot to learn about your Salvation?

The #1 Proof that you are still in the diaper stage... Hebrews 6:1....is that you will BELIEVE that you can "lose your Salvation".

How do you know that you have worked out your Salvation?

Its very simple.

If you read this (down below)...........and you think....""""well of course...that is obvious""""....... then you have worked out your salvation.
However, if you read this, and you want to disagree, then you have not understood The Cross of Christ or the "Gift of Salvation" or the New Covenant.

Read.....carefully.

Yes! The whole price is paid in Jesus' blood.we can accept our 'scholarship' or reject it.

Another way of seeing Salvation is that to travel we need to pay our fare and get a ticket, and Jesus has bought that ticket to eternal life for us -paid in full by his blood and without that 'ticket we can't get into heaven.

And another way is that you need an invitation to get into a special party. I made a thread called You are invited which explains this better.

Hey Behold
Nothing is free.
Not even a scholarship!

Salvation is the Free Gift of Salvation.....

Its explained this way by Paul, in Romans..

"""" but the GIFT of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Salvation, is to be forgiven, and to receive eternal life., which is Free.....= Freely Given by God.

Our Salvation cost Jesus His Blood and Death, and all it costs us is to Receive it by Faith.

Salvation is 3 Gifts....and Gift's from God are "free".

1.) "The Gift of Salvation"

2.) "The Gift of Eternal life".

3.) "The Gift of Righteousness".

And the "GIFTS of God, are without repentance".

This means they can't be omitted, deleted, changed, blocked, stopped, or annulled.

Jesus explained this as ""noone can pluck you from my hand""..........and that means not even the deceived person themselves, who believe they can "lose it".

Eternal Security, is Eternal Life., and it can't be undone..........as you can't stop being born again.
Its started by Jesus and completed by God, and maintained the same way.

So, when you find a """fallen from Grace"" Christian who is trying to stay saved by doing works, or trying to be like Jesus, or any self effort, then they dont understand The Cross, while they pretend they do.
Their faith is broken, because it has become Self Righteousness.

How about some scripture?
Something about how we cannot forfeit our salvation.

It would be nice.
Since Jesus said we could be
SAVED FOR A WHILE
FALL AWAY
BE CUT OFF
DEPART FROM HIM
GO TO THE ETERNAL FIRE

I think it's very important to learn what Jesus said.

I posted some verses for you.

Here is one again.

Jesus said...

"""""And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall Never Perish (go to Hell) , neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.""

See the "neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand"?

This means not anyone can pluck the born again out of Jesus's Hand......including the person themselves.

See, that word "Pluck"?.......that is related to being ROOTED, in Him........and Its Eternal.

Salvation is Jesus on the Cross.
This can't be "lost"......it can only be RECEIVED by Faith.

Notice reader that there are no verses in any bible that say you can be "unborn again".
There are no verses in any bible that say that Jesus will leave you...but there is one that says He never will.

Dont you believe this?......Does He lie?

Its like this.
If you are born again, and you went to Hell,......... then God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, would go with you, as they are in you, and you are in Them, forever.

The born again, is SEALED by the Holy Spirit.....and that is going to last for as long as the Holy Spirit exists.

If you believe you can lose your salvation, then its because you have no faith in Christ to keep you saved, which means that you dont understand that the finished work of Jesus on the Cross is finished, and if you have it, then you are "complete in Him" and forever.

Of course.
IF we remain in Him.

Jesus said it's possible to depart from Him.
To Not remain in Him.

John 15:5
IF YOU REMAIN IN ME...

IF

YOU REMAIN

IF is conditional.

Jesus is the head of the Church and you reject His teachings.
See the "neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand"?
you could fall away in times of temptation.
Luke 8:13

We should pay attention to what Jesus teaches.

HIS words are plain and require no explanation.

This means not anyone can pluck the born again out of Jesus's Hand......including the person themselves.

See, that word "Pluck"?.......that is related to being ROOTED, in Him........and Its Eternal.
Post 2 just 2 or even one

Verse that clearly states you cannot forfeit your salvation.

Otherwise we have a serious conflict in Scripture.

If I may, this part of your post,in my opinion, shuts the door on any and all threads that insist Salvation is not what Jesus said it is.

May I paste that quote to my signature?

Salvation is finished because all for whom Christ died were saved by what He did and accomplished not only for them, but for the Father. He saved all that the Father gave Him to save and to give eternal life to Jn 17:2-4

2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.

3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Its limited to the Sheep Jn 10:26-29

26 But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you.

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.

I think it's very important to learn what Jesus said.
You're following a false teacher. Jesus never ever said what you claim.

It's overdue to say this.

You should not be allowed to push a false gospel that intends to condemn by your word all that Jesus the Christ said in his word.

Does a FULL SCHOLARSHIP guarantee a person graduates with a degree? This is what you people can't get through your heads. If a FULL SCHOLARSHIP automatically granted someone a degree there would be no reason to go to classes and to the work. A FULL SCHOLARSHIP grants you admission not a degree which is the only point to getting a FULL SCHOLARSHIP. I pray you people wake up some day.

Agreed, the picture Behold used is not perfect, but it was only a picture. The work of Jesus is finished. He said from the cross, "It is finished." When He returned to heaven, we are told that He sat down, speaking again of His work being finished. So even though a full scholarship does not automatically result in a degree, the finished work of Jesus does indeed result in salvation for those who believe in Him.

Salvation is the finished work of Jesus on The Cross.
This is not a scholarship that you can earn, or a job you can perform.

Jesus is Salvation, and to receive Him, and become a "new creation in Christ".....eternally forgiven and etenally redeemed, is God's Gift of Grace to the sinner.
Who will have this Gift?
Who will come to Jesus and find God's eternal mercy?

Of course.
IF we remain in Him.

The believer always remains "in Christ".......as that is to become born again "as a new creation".......as "one with God".
That is eternal reconciliation, that is God caused.

You need to stop trying to keep yourself saved, and trust in Christ instead.
