The White House Faith Office was established this February. Here are its marching orders.
By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, and to assist faith-based entities,

In particular: “The efforts of faith-based entities, community organizations, and houses of worship are essential to strengthening families and revitalizing communities, and the Federal Government welcomes opportunities to partner with such organizations through innovative, measurable, and outcome-driven initiatives.” Etc.
In other words, although the U.S. has a secular government, it cannot serve the country if its policies are tilted against people of faith. In fact, we could argue it will serve us best if policies are aligned with God’s word. Rather than wait for our Supreme Court to ensure laws are consistent with religious freedom, the Executive Branch can play an active role, and we should welcome it.
Whether the head of the office is adhering to the policy requirements, I leave you to comment.
