Imagine being in that storm in a boat.

Very large US military ships were caught in a massive storm near the end of ww2

There are wave videos via the bow cameras mounted on giant cargo ships.

Incredibly huge waves .

Pray for the safety of the people living in the coast and for those people who want to surf, tell them they can die surfing those waves.

We were in Tampa years ago during a storm. Not a hurricane of course.

On the coastal highway you could see people on body boards during the squall.

The news reported emergency personnel would not be dispatched should they run into trouble. Because they were warrned.
And when they ignore that, they will be allowed to take their lives in their own hands.

I owned a small 17 foot 1965 Glastron power boat with 250 hp motor, and before the hull cracked it was very fast.
Then the hull cracked on the bottom a foot long, ripped the fiberglass. Water coming in but we had a good pump.
I kept fixing that boat, fixing EVERYTHING, till I gave up and got a 37 foot Egg Harbor wooden boat. And I find I am always fixing EVERYTHING on it too. Obvious disadvantage of a larger boat, it has to be hauled and kept at a marina, so the cost is a lot higher even if the boat value is low.

Old things that most people would not want, and broken things seem to find me.

My newest vehicle is a diesel 2005 Ram dually 3500 truck 4x4 with 4 doors and 8 foot bed and 170,000 miles.
Almost everything on it works fine. And it still looks ok, but it is 20 years old now.

When I bought this from Keller brothers in PA, no one wanted it, they were sending it to auction. I called them up and said bring it back and I will buy it.
Cost was $18,900. It has ZERO rust. It is definitely a beast.

Join the Navy see the wor..waves.

Isnt it amazing how many people mention God when they think they are going to die….? :shockedx
I wonder if they talk about him, or even give him a second thought, when it’s just an ordinary day?

That was a voice over

Here's 10 ships hit by giant waves. The first one is that other Navy ship. The people in the audio behave totally different.

Interesting that the voice over was added, but still proves my point....when people are staring at the face of death they use God in their exclamations.....unbelievers tend to use expletives....

I don't think it does prove your point.

The voice over is not sourced,we don't know its origin. We just know someone spliced it into a video of a Navy ship being hit by a big wave.
You're presuming the rest, unbelievers speaking those words.

I've invoked God on occasion and aloud. It wasn't an explosive. It was a beckoning for help.

I remember some years ago we had 40 foot waves hit our beaches. My sister and I went to watch, and we soon saw body surfers in these waves, having the time of their lives. Did they know the danger? I'll bet they did. But they weren't going to let this chance pass them by!

I sure miss my sister!

Much love!

I wasn’t presuming that they were unbelievers...just the opposite. I was suggesting that those who profess a faith in God do not always speak of him in their daily lives, but only hear about him once a week in church.
But when faced with a life threatening situation, he is in their exclamations, but not really in their hearts.

I don’t think God wants us to have a superficial relationship with him....he wants people to “know” him...not just know “about” him.
I've invoked God on occasion and aloud. It wasn't an explosive. It was a beckoning for help.
I wasn’t talking about speaking to God personally, which is a privilege we all have....I was speaking about that mindless exclamation made by those who really don’t know him more than superficially.

And in the aftermath.
August 22,

Ummm, that isn't true. that must be an old pic or doctored. The OC beaches are fine.
There was some minor flooding in the streets- nothing new. It is the beach.
Waves were maybe 10-15 ft
propaganda...
