Apostle Paul did:

“…I keep under [control] my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.” (1Co 9:27, KJV)

This same paul said to be absent from the body was to be present with the lord.

Uh, Paul was not absent from the body yet when he wrote that…

I know exactly what they say.

You only know what your false doctrine tells you they say…

You see, once you accept lies, all truths must have secret meanings other than what they plainly say.
Then knowing that,you have a chance for God to lead you to understanding.

As long as you and Love Their version of Yeshua deny the Gospel of irrevocable Salvation in favor of your egos,you'll die condemned .

Then your hubris is meaningless. While your obstinate persona opposed to truth will have sent you there.

Believe your fable .
Don't think for a minute you'll lead a Christian from the cross.

We are eternally irrevocably Saved.
God said so.

And that's enough.

You're wrong.
So all the writers of all the verses that you most likely did mot read at all are wrong? this is what I meant when i said you reject Jesus and God'd words you are a follower of Paul that you do not really understand and have put the student before the master ( Jesus that you have set aside) , I have seen this disease before most of the time it is incurable until the person infected with theses false twisted doctrines chooses to get better. you have decided to remain in the dark, so be it!

redefining the term now you are.

no they are merely incense poured to God. god already heard those prayers.
WRONG.

They are prayers of intercession being taken before God as bowls of incense. You can try to wish it away but there’s NO getting around this
fact . . .
You should learn grammar. The greeks did not capitalize letters. The manuscripts were either all uncial or all caps.
That wasn’t my point – and you know it.

My point was to show that they were using “Catholic” as a TITLE – and not a mere description here.

And the church refused and threw out all the reformers who souoght to set Romanism back on a biblical course instead of welcoming the reforms.
They weren’t excommunicated for objecting to corruption. They were excommunicated for heresy and perversion of doctrine.

They introduced all sorts of UNBIBLICAL doctrines like Sola Scriptuira, Unconditional Election, Eternal Security, Limited Atonement, Irresistible Grace, etc. NONE of these things had been taught by Scripture or the Church for 15 centuries.

These were much later mid to the end of the second century. all churches were not submitted to Rome at this time.
WRONG.

In the FIRST century document, Letter of Clement to the Corinthians, we see Clement, the 3rd Bishop of Rome (Pope) making rulings on controversies in the Church at Corinth – from ROME. Corinth had its OWN bishop and clergy – and yet, here we see Clement making decisions for them.

They are not listed- because they are the bible.
This is a n embarrassingly-dumb answer.

The List of Books that belong in the bible (Canon of Scripture) is a Sacred Tradition of the Catholic Church because it was the Catholic church who declared the Canon in the 3rd century. YOU wouldn’t even HAVE a list if not for the
Catholic Church . . .
But to explain all the "traditions" would take pages. Here are but a few

Immaculate conception of Mary
Perpetual virginity of Mary
Bodily assumption of Mary
Mary Queen of Heaven
Mary as co-redemptrix and co-mediatrix.
purgatory
limbo

celibacy
ALL the above are implicitly taught in Scripture except for Limbo, which is NOT a Tradition or doctrine of the Catholic Church.

Ummm,
NNNNNNNEXT . . .

so a person sealed with the spirit UNTIL the day of redemption. even if that HS is grieved can be lost?

lol. Again, puffing yourself up
Hey,at least we now have one example of someone who examples the excuse unbelievers use to dent eternal security. (OSAS)
Thinking ES is a license to sin.

I've not seen anyone example that on a Christian forum,until now, until they did so.

You know by now what's up,right?
Two people,or one using a different name, are unbelievers having a go at Christians.

How long will we try to change their mind?
I wonder if it is a wager,if
money is on the line.

I'm done. We are to have nothing to do with unbelievers.

Did not Jesus teach that people needed to repent and then go and sin no more.

Jesus taught repent and sin no more to Jews, who were not Christians because He had not yet died on The Cross for their Sin so that they could become a Christian.

But now that Jesus is the "one time ETERNAL SACRIFICE for sin"......because "GOD hath made Jesus to be sin for us"......then we are to understand that our Sin is on Christ and Christ's Rightousness has been "imputed to us", and we are become "made righteous" forever.

Martin Luther explained it like this,,,,,,,,"Jesus has my sin, and i have His Righteousness".

This is "The Gift of Righteousness" that is 'THe Gift of Salvation".

Jesus came to save you from the law. Not put you back under it

The principle that Jesus presented in His teaching was that we are to repent of our sin(s) and then we are to go and sin no more. This principle is stated well in the Old Testament as well. If we sin while we are righteous and will not repent of our sin(s) then we will not gain eternal life, but we will be dispatched into the Lake of Fire to die the second death.

My sense is that God has extended His Grace consistently since the time He created Adam and then Eve. God's Grace is not only just a New Testament phenomenon, but it has been available since Adam.

The prodigal son was still a son. but he lost fellowship with his father until he returned.

The prodigal son returned to His Father with a repentant heart and His Father chose to lift him up with His forgiveness by offering his prodigal son His Grace.

Your understanding is warped, really warped, as anyone who repents and then worships God/Christ is automatically a Son of God and therefore a "Saint," and judged to be righteous.

Another thing that puzzles me is why catholics pray to Mary.
When Jesus's disciples asked him how they should pray, he replied with this- "Our Father which art in heaven...", he didn't say "Pray to my mum" did he?
Because members of the Body of Christ are asked to pray for oine another (James 5:16). We are told that a fellow parts pf the Body - we NEED each other (1 Cor. 12).

Paul prays to (asks) his readers for intercession (Rom. 15:30-32, 2 Cor 1:10-11, Phil 1:19). Yo "Pray" simply means ti ASK. Prayer as worship is a secondary definition.

The bigger queston is - when was Mary kicked OUT of the
Body of Christ??

Jesus had a lot to say about and this taught that the path to eternal life is narrow and that few find it. In Matthew 7:13-14, He said;

"Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."
This shows that salvation is not guaranteed for everyone, and only those who stay faithful and follow His teachings will enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

Jesus also warned that some would hear the word and believe for a while, but eventually fall away. In the Parable of the Sower, He explained;

"But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles." (Matthew 13:20-21).
This illustrates that some will start their walk with God but will not persevere when faced with trials or temptations.

In John 15:6, Jesus made it even clearer, saying;

"If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned."
Here, Jesus compares Himself to a vine and believers as branches. A branch must remain connected to the vine to stay alive and bear fruit. If a person disconnects from Christ through disobedience or unbelief, they wither spiritually and face eternal judgment.

The original apostles also confirmed this truth. Peter warned in 2 Peter 2:20-21;

"For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them."
This shows that a person who was once saved and returns to sin is in a worse condition than before they knew the truth.

James also affirmed this truth when he said;

"Brethren, if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back, let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins."
This verse reveals that a believer can wander away from the truth and face spiritual death unless they repent and return to God.

The Bible does provide examples of those who lost their salvation. Judas Iscariot was one of the twelve apostles chosen by Jesus, yet he betrayed the Lord for thirty pieces of silver. Jesus Himself said about Judas;

"It would have been good for that man if he had not been born." (Matthew 26:24).
This shows that Judas was once in the faith but fell away and was lost.

Another example is Balaam, a prophet who once heard from God but later led Israel into sin for personal gain. Peter referred to him, saying,

"They have forsaken the right way and gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Beor." (2 Peter 2:15). King Saul is yet another example; he was chosen and anointed by God but later disobeyed and rebelled, and the Spirit of God departed from him (1 Samuel 16:14)

Jesus' words make it clear that salvation is not a one-time event but requires endurance and faithfulness until the end. As He said in Matthew 24:13, "But he who endures to the end shall be saved." Therefore, those who abide in Christ, obey His commandments, and remain faithful will receive eternal life. However, those who turn away from Him and return to sin risk losing their salvation and facing eternal separation from God: "Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus."Rev 14:12

Blessings.
There are many ways that may or may not lead to Salvation, but while still on those many paths, none are yet Saved. As you even quoted, James refers to those still on the path to Salvation as "sinners." They are not Saved, so yes, what they have they can indeed loose.

To the contrary, Salvation is defined as "eternal" (life)--meaning "forever." Even so, many do not know what Salvation actually is.

I wonder if this typical response from Christ is a Law that we should always follow?
I think so yes! what defines sin are the ten commandments, defined by God as the covenant, in saying "Go and sin no more" Jesus is asking us to keep the commandments, by doing so, we shall no longer sin. it is why they were given.

Jesus also magnified the commandments and explained them further. this was to make us think with our heads and hearts that the commandments were more than a series of instructions but we must understand what we do and why, it requires a strong long term commitment until end end in this lost world.

Blessings

Jesus said,those who are in him do not make a habit of sinning. If they do,they never knew him.

@Eternally Grateful , I asked God what to do about the unbelievers plaguing our threads.
(It's not that they have a different pov either. It's a concerted effort to rewrite the Gospel as errant.)

See if this speaks to you too.

The proof a person is become a Christian is not related to worship or repenting of sin.

The proof is that the person is become BORN Again., as a "new creation".. "in Christ".

You can't worship and praise and repent of sin, to become born again. @Jay Ross

To become a CHRISTian, is based on you giving God your FAITH in Christ, and our "faith is counted by God as (Christ's righteousness)"... imputed to us.
And THAT is the moment you become a CHRISTian.....as born again.
