I’m not lying! It is you who is confusing the physical and the spiritual circumcision. Quoting that the Torah is spiritual only confirms its true purpose: to lead people into the New Covenant in Christ, through the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Let Peter’s words guide you: “You have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth.” It is through this obedience that the heart is truly circumcised. But this is not circumcision by the shedding of blood with a knife, it is by the application of the shed blood of the One who was himself circumcised in heart. Scripture calls this “the circumcision made without hands” the putting off of the body of sins, casting it away like the foreskin of the heart!
Paul explains: “You were circumcised with the circumcision of Christ.” Since Christ is in heaven, how can someone on earth be circumcised by his circumcision? Paul’s answer is clear: “In him you were circumcised.” Therefore, the repentant believer must enter into Christ, or “put him on,” so that in him he may be made complete. Just as a man who puts on a garment is no longer seen in his natural state but covered by that garment, so the believer who puts on Christ is clothed in his righteousness. In God’s sight, he no longer appears as a natural man, but as one who is in Christ.
So I ask you, do you believe one must put on Torah? Surely not!
Your confusion is on you for lack of Torah knowledge and neither believing the Master nor Paul.
Deuteronomy 10:16 KJV
16
Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
Deuteronomy 30:1-6 KJV
1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
4 If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven,
[LXX: from one end of heaven to the other, (Mat 24:31)] from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee:
5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the land which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers.
6
And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.
And later in this passage is a portion from which Paul also quotes:
Romans 10:6-8 KJV
6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven?
[Deut 30:12] ( that is, to bring Christ down
from above: )
7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep?
[Deut 30:13] ( that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead. )
8
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: [Deut 30:14] that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
But look what immediately follows in that context from which Paul quotes:
Deuteronomy 30:11-19 KJV
11 For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off.
12
It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? [Romans 10:6]
13
Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? [Romans 10:7]
14
But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it. [Romans 10:8]
15
See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
19
I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Mosheh explicitly states to anyone who reads and studies the Torah that he has set before us life and good, and death and evil: life and death, and blessing and cursing:
therefore choose life.
Paul has already explained, (as quoted previously from Romans 8 here in this thread), that the natural-carnal mind understanding is death: therefore it is a choice everyone must make, and to choose the flesh, the physical, the natural man understanding of the things in the Torah, is to choose death because the Torah is spiritual, not because I say so but because Mosheh and Paul say so in the holy scripture.
The attacks you have leveled herein show that you choose to believe that circumcision according to the Torah is meant as physical and outward, the circumcision of the male private member, when in fact the Torah also teaches circumcision of the heart, just as Paul also teaches, (also quoted previously herein to you from Rom 2:28-29, and Paul surely received it from the Torah), even while Mosheh says what he does in the passages above about choosing life over death. You therefore remain stiff-necked because of your own natural minded paradigm, and because of it you unwittingly choose death. You are no better off than the Pharisees, Sadducees, and Scribes who believed and understood the Torah in the same manner as you do, and enforced their carnal-minded understanding upon the people well before you ever came along. You are at the end of a double millennia-long line of natural-minded religious people tinkering with the Torah who naturally end up choosing death.
Moreover Paul informs the reader, in the passage quoted above herein, that the Rhema-Word of the faith which he preaches comes straight from Deuteronomy 30, and even expounds the Master from what he quoted, (Rom 10:6-8).
