These passages need to be harmonized to each other, and I know where that harmony is.wow marks- this is looking like cognitive dissonance--
If you want to continue to look at this with me, let's not jump from one to the next without coming to terms with the passage we are looking at.
Colossians 3:1-5 KJV
1) If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2) Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
5) Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
Do you see how this passage is teaching that the one who is risen with Christ now will appear with Him then? Are you suggesting that this is not what it says? Or do you recognize this is the teaching of this passage, but think there are unstated caveats?
Again, no need to feel you must respond.
Much love!
