Still listening to spirits instead of the Bible?

1 Timothy 4:1-2
1 Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, 2 speaking lies in hypocrisy,

Today I was just encouraging a young guy we're discipling to be ready for the challenging times ahead. That as Jesus warned those who would follow Him will be opposed, persecuted and some will be killed and will need to be ready. How do we do that? By hearing His Spirit and are lead by Him specifically. Like drive down this road. Don't go into that house. Run to the mountains.

The bible teachers people learn from and are led by on Saturdays or Sundays will not be able to give them these immediate instructions from Jesus.

Rather Jesus said, But when they deliver you up, do not worry about how or what you should speak. For it will be given to you in that hour what you should speak; for it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

I live in Minneapolis.
Several years ago we had a freeway bridge that spans the Mississippi River collapse in the middle of the day.
A church friend was approaching that bridge on the freeway just before it collapsed.
God told him to STOP his car in the middle of the freeway.
Traffic behind him was honking and raising fists. The cars that passed him went down with the bridge.
Those who stopped behind him were thankful they had stopped.

I'm not going to ague your point. Maybe He does or He doesn't.

God's Holy Spirit caused the bible to be created, and this is the word of God.

"The word of God endures forever".

The fantastic truth through experience is that the Holy Spirit communicates with our spirit way way way beyond what's recorded in the books of the bibles.

The Holy Spirit cause the bible to be created.
So, He will talk to you through the word of God.. .In fact, He will lead you using the scriptures, regarding decisions you need to make., as well as giving you revelations from the bible that you need to learn.

I don't go to it to hear God's word. I go directly to His Spirit.

If you want to hear the voice of the Spirit then study the word of God that is His voice.
If you only listen to voices in your head, or "inside yourself" then you are allowing the demonic to conterfeit God's voice.
The demonic will talk to you, as if its your own thoughts. The demonic will give you ideas, lusts, false theology.. imaginations, a false gospel.....lots of leading you into all sort of issues that seem right, at the time.

The Holy Spirit, is differrent.......He works in our intuition.......its not a voice.....its not...>"turn left here, and go up there, and buy that hamburger"., but He will sometimes give you a "STOP"... !!!
Instead its......a knowing.....a certainty......and even an unrest........that is our intuition.

"""something told me that that beautiful house i really wanted.. was not going to be good for me, was the wrong one"""....... and later you find out the house needed a roof, and all the wiring replaced and had a foundation issue, because you know the buyer who went through all this.

No need to feel like that for him. He's in great hands. He has found Christ.

He is learning to walk, listen and talk with the Spirit, desires to know truth, gets together with other followers of Jesus and wants to be baptised.

Again, he's in good hands, hands of Whom no one can pluck him from.

I for one love God Who created us all and love the ongoing new revelations He gives to those of us who have eyes and ears to hear.

His words brought to us directly from God in heaven as we are carrried along by His Spirit is life changing hey. I love receiving new fresh life producing words of God and applying them to my life. I'm thinking you do to.

I certainly do! Which I find He speaks into my heart, as well as opening the Scriptures to my understanding. I'll spend the rest of my life knowing God better and better both by His Spirit within me, and by His written Word, which was sent to accomplish His purpose. I can testify that it is doing that in me.

Jesus doctrine is not even his own

The doctrine of Christ is the doctrine of God because he spake the words of His Father

2 John 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God.

And the Spirit Himself continues to convict humans of sin, righteousness and future judgement. The Spirit continues to lead us into all truth, every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. He continues to testify with our spirit that our names are written in the book of life and are children of God.

This is why I elevate and promote God and His precious Gift of the Holy Spirit. Without Him as my constant Companion I would have remained a dead man groping around in the darkness being consumed by and attempting to satisfy my insatiable appetite for more and more sin.

The Living Word (Christ), And His Written Words Of Eternal Life, Are
God’s Greatest Gifts To us.

Here again the neglect and contempt shown to Jesus and His Father's greatest Gift to us. Their Spirit. The Person of Whom Jesus clearly told us would be Their most precious Gift because He will convict us, lead us, testify to us, be our seal, sanctify us and glorify us as He did our Lord and Saviour Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is given to us to be our Divine Companion. And we are His mobile home for the time we are alive in this age.

The Gift is a living Person who communicates with us and us with Him my friend. The 4 of us in a living moment by moment relationship.

All things that the Father (person #1) hath are mine (person #2): therefore said I (person #2), that he (person #3) shall take of mine (person #2), and shall shew it unto you (person #4).

have you ever noticed that many seem to say WE REJOICE in THY WORD , as in JESUS
and yet wow they darn sure dont seem to rejoice IN HIS WORDS .

to produce a false image of HIM . Which image, i might add sure dont seem
to have a problem with sins and even unbelief

This has been a constant for me that HE is a constant Companion, Comforter, Truth Bearer, Guide, Convictor and Divine life Producer.

This Divine Person is my greatest and most precious possession. The Spirit of Christ in me. Now I am His mobile, walking and talking temple. Isn't this fantastic! I love Him and Those Who gave Him to me as the most valuable present I could hope to receive.
