Ending : Sin Consciousness

If you want to control and resolve your works of the flesh, (carnal desires) then you have to get out of Sin Consciousness.

Hebrews 10:2 refers to this situation.

Sin Conscienceness in a Christian, is created and maintained by wrong faith........that is explained as trying to be good so that God will continue to accept you and keep you, vs, the correct understanding that God only accepts you, saves you and keeps you = because of Jesus's obedience.

Once a Christian comes to understand that God only accepts them based on their Faith in Christ, and never their works or lifestyle or behavior, then that revelation frees them from sin consciousness.

Paul's verse reads......."Bringing every thought to the obedience of Christ"....>"Casting down imaginations".

That simply means... your natural mind is going to want to try to earn salvation and keep it by earning it.......so, cast that down.....and replace it by the knowledge that you Saved and are eternally accepted and kept by God, only because of Christ's obedience.

Christ's Obedience is .......He went to The Cross for you, and that is where your salvation is found and kept. = Jesus is Salvation.

Simply understand that God saved you and keeps you, because of The Cross of Christ, and not because of your confessing sin, or trying to do good works.

What ive just explained to you, is Paul's teaching regarding how you "put on the Helmet of Salvation".

Jesus said, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). He promises rest not to those who strive to earn God’s favor, but to those who trust in Him. He also said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6), showing that salvation is entirely in Him. When we believe this, our hearts are freed from the fear of failing God, and obedience flows naturally: “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). True obedience is the result of faith in Christ, not the cause of God’s acceptance.

Jesus’ teaching aligns with the idea that we are accepted and kept by God because of His obedience and sacrifice, not ours. Faith in Him removes guilt, releases peace, and allows the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and actions, fulfilling His command to “love the Lord your God with all your heart” (Matthew 22:37).

True obedience is the result of faith in Christ, not the cause of God’s acceptance.

Yes.

Obedience and Holiness are the Fruit of our Salvation, not the cause.
