@St. SteVen

To summarize Post 39 = in 3

Jesus says narrow is the way which leads to Life
Jesus says IAM the Way the Truth the Life
Jesus is Narrow Minded because He desires for you to have LIFE

Does reading the Bible make people stupid?

It doesn't have to, but...

Based on observations on the forum, I have to wonder.
Mindless parroting of memorized apologetics reveal a lack of cognitive ability. IMHO

I have to ask.

To be clear, there is plenty of good to learn from the Bible.
But it can also instill a narrow view of everything.

I think... the parroting comes from what they've heard from their pastor, rather than reading the Bible.

Most Christians don't actually read whole chapters and books of their Bibles. Instead, the Bible is used as a reference book. Pastor said fill-in-the-blank, and I can find verses x, y, & z that seem to agree, so... it must be right!

It turns out, if you're looking for reinforcement for ANY idea, you can probably find it if you go looking. That's true for the Bible, Google, and even AI chatbots!

The scriptures do not make people stupid, but rather there are not many wise (as you might be Prov 26:12) who are called

1 Cr 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh,
not many mighty, not many noble, are called

The scripture is given that the man of God be made perfect

2 Ti 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

St. Stephen, when I highlight your post and look specifically at that " [ " it shows a line over it that is detected only when highlighted (which actually affects my responses to your posts until I remove it). I wondered why this was happening, but after another incident on this forum which was done deliberately using an emoji to screw up responses to another, it's making me wonder if its added deliberately to do the same, seeing its added at the end (and not by keying it in fresh in each post) oftentimes causing someones words replying to you to get funky in the reply box.

Not sure if others have experienced this, just pointing out what has just come to my attention concerning it.

No idea. Not intentional on my part. (as far as I know)

This one here (in this reply) is free of it. It's not all the time, but after a recent incident, I just decided to highlight what I was quoting and I saw it there, and it will typically following into my reply. I wouldnt know what to look for inspecting it, so I will try removing these things before I reply where they exist.

I am actually glad I found it, because Windows 10 updates are a thing of the past for this canary in the coal mine and I am typically nuts about what I click on, but now even moreso.

Once again StSteven has created another Thread. that intends to be insulting.
Its just "Click Bait" Trolling., as usual.

He's not able to write a Thread that shows God Love.......or that Shows the Bible love, or that shows Jesus love, or that shows the Church any love.

Proof?
Look at all his Threads.
Its well documented.

That saw cuts both ways.

Christian: We have all the answers.
Victim: Good; I haven't done today's crossword puzzle yet.
Christian: I didn't mean those sort of answers.
Victim: That's okay, I can do my own puzzle games.
Christian: I mean the really important answers to life.
Victim: Like how to get my keys out of a locked car?
Christian: No, like where you will spend eternity.
Victim: It seems to take an eternity to get my keys out of a locked car.
Christian: Aren't you concerned about your eternal destiny?
Victim: Not really. I'm concerned about getting my keys out of a locked car.
Christian: That is a temporal concern; I'm talking about eternity.
Victim: I'm late for an appointment. That's my main concern at the moment.
Christian: Shouldn't you be more concerned about your eternal destiny?
Victim: Oh good, the police just arrived to rescue me.
Christian: To rescue you from being locked out of your car?
Victim: No, to rescue me from you.

We do indeed! It's called the Bible that you said "I don't trust"!

I'll keep tugging!

23 but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire,

Your Thread's Topic is a "clickbaid" Troll".
All of them are the same.
Who are you trying to kid?
If you claim to be wise to me, why are you here except to troll my topics?
You haven't provided anything of value to the topic.
That's called trolling, right?
