Amen to that!I don't have to watch them when I see the fruit of them in your error
[Act 16:6-7 KJV] 6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.Where do these seven churches reside?
Good Morning Doug,[Act 16:6-7 KJV] 6 Now when they had gone throughout Phrygia and the region of Galatia, and were forbidden of the Holy Ghost to preach the word in Asia, 7 After they were come to Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia: but the Spirit suffered them not.
Paul was forbidden from going to Asia and Bithynia by the Holy Ghost; Peter wrote to the scattered believing Jews in these regions. There must have been remnant churches of believing Jews in Asia and Bithynia since Paul would not preach the gospel to believing Jews ([Rom 15:20 KJV] 20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:).
[Rev 1:9 KJV] 9 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Another reason to believe Revelation was written to Jewish believers is that John was saying he was their brother; he was saying he was a fellow Israelite.
These seven churches may well have existed when John wrote his letters. John in saying he is companion in tribulation, identifies the letters as benefiting future Jewish churches facing the great tribulation.
I see your point, but there was no church at all until God formed themSo, according to what you've written above...
the Trinity did not exist either in the OT or the NT UNTIL
somebody wrote about it after all the Apostles were already dead.
That was not revealed until Jesus revealed it thru PaulApparently it makes no difference to you that both Jesus and Paul stated that we are to be one united Body and that there is to be no division.
One Lord, one gospel, one church. The simplicity that is in Christ. It is very simple Doug: "two gospels/two churches" is a LIE and "no lie is of the Truth"
Maybe @Nancywould like to share?
The gospel of the kingdom is not being preached todayPeter's church faded away?
Where did you learn this?
Peter's church is still here today....
James 3.1
1 Let not many of you become teachers, my brethren, knowing that as such we will incur a stricter judgment.
It is scripture, which is from Jesus, that forms my teaching, comparing scripture with scriptureAny other "teachings" that did not come from CHRIST or the apostles is invalid before GOD.
1 Timothy 6:3-5
If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.
The apostle Paul agrees with me = run from the error of "dispensationlism"
Run to CHRIST each day in prayer, in your prayer closet, and pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit as HE promised = John chapter 4
The apostle Paul did this and i still do.
This claim of arguments from silence is convenient in order to evade the questions you cant answer to support your assertionsThese are all arguments from silence.
Yet you propose two different gospels.
I teach alot of what they teach as well. You have never given scripture to correct and invalidate my teachingsI don't have to watch them when I see the fruit of them in your error
Paul didnt curse Peter's gospel. No, he wasn't. However, according to you Peter did
Another example of you once again showing no scriptural support for your assertionsThere is only one church.
THANK YOU for the encouragement in the TRUTH = "Thy Word is TRUTH"One Lord, one gospel, one church. The simplicity that is in Christ.
No Other Gospel
Galatians 1
6 "I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed."
10"For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ."
Matthew 24:21
"Jesus says, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1 Cor 12:12-13
13" For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
Jesus said "THIS GOSPEL not "these" gospels..."ONE Spirit", "ONE BODY" (church)...sure seems crazy clear to me and anyone else who believes God is a God of order and peace. I know their are some anti-Pauline folks out there and I am not one of them.
Blessings to you!
Dispensationalism is anti-scripture and anti-christ since it opposes the words of CHRIST and the Apostles. It is scripture, which is from Jesus, that forms my teaching, comparing scripture with scripture
Dispensationalism is in scripture............[2Ti 2:15 KJV] 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
I think the seven churches are believing remnant of Israel churches that could include Gentiles but premaxillary are Jewish facing the tribulationGood Morning Doug,
YES YES YES Doug = there were more then 7 churches but CHRIST only focused our attention on 7 = 7 is symbolic of COMPLETION
Revelation is to the Jew and the Gentile as there were many Gentiles in those 7 churches
CHRIST's Message to the 7 churches in Revelation is the COMPLETE Message to all churches throughout all time up to HIS Return.
His Complete Message also covers the History of christianity = the GOOD and the BAD and the UGLY
SHALOM
What scripture says one church? One Lord, one gospel, one church. The simplicity that is in Christ.
Look carefully Paul was not saying that if Peter preached another gospel he would be accursed, he was saying that if someone came along and preached a different gospel than he preached to the members of the body of Christ they would be accursed
This was the gospel Jesus preached and sent the twelve to preachMatthew 24:21
"Jesus says, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come."
Did Peter preach this? Did not Peter preach water baptism for the remission of sins?1 Cor 12:12-13
13" For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit."
What gospel? I will tell you, it was the gospel of the kingdom, the prophetic Davidic kingdom on earth.Jesus said "THIS GOSPEL not "these" gospels.
