I got this, anthropomorphism is a formal declaration of condemnation

Attributing human qualities, such as a soul, to God, as it holds that God transcends human understanding and cannot be fully described by human concepts, including the idea of a soul.

And yet it mentions his soul in the scripture so that is bs.

This here

Judges 10:16 And they put away the strange gods from among them, and served the LORD: and his soul (nephesh) was grieved for the misery of Israel.

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul (nephesh) delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.

Jerm 5:9 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: and shall not my soul (nephesh) be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jerm 5:29 Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul (nephesh) be avenged on such a nation as this?

Jerm 6:8 Be thou instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul (nephesh) depart from thee; lest I make thee desolate, a land not inhabited.

Jerm 9:9 Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul (nephesh) be avenged on such a nation as this?

Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul (nephesh) hateth.

Is called Anthropomorhism

Somewhere you are a heretic for believing these verses clfh

Sorry, I didnt give the definition, which is the attribution of human characteristics, including a soul, to God. This is often criticized in certain theological traditions.

Showing just a few in contrast in some places

For example,

Psalm 11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul (nephesh) hateth.

The LORD
speaking of Jesus (separating in the next the mention of his soul from his spirit)

Isaiah 42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul (nephesh) delighteth; I have put my spirit (ruwach) upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
The term "soul" in the Bible can represent so many things that I would rather switch the focus to for example "God regretted" or that God had to go down on earth to "see" what is going on etc. These things cannot be taken literally.

Com on' are you justifying the condemnation of soul?

I know, the intellectuals probably have all the finer points of the condemnation chicken scratched somewhere for us stupid folks, but seriously? Its all a little over the top. I can't really see Jesus saying, "You said SOUL" away with you heretic!

I could see a pearl clutching pharisee do that though clfh

Tritheism is three Gods. One God with three distinct persons (which is what the shield presents) is not tritheism.

Scriptures say:
a) There is one God
b) The Father is God, the Son is God, the Holy Spirit is God
c) All of them are distinct persons with separate actions (like one sending another, one talking to another...)

Which establishes Trinity.
That's the problem. They're not three separate and distinct persons.

God isn't a separate person from the Holy Spirit.Another name people use to describe the Holy Spirit is,God.
God was Jesus. And they're not separate persons because everything that exists is of and from God.

John 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:16 – “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.”

When you say "God is not a separate person from the Holy Spirit..." it seems you do not understand Trinity.

God is not a specific person. The Father is a specific person. God is one, persons are three, check the Shield of Trinity again to understand that.

What? Read my post again. I said that soul can represent so many concepts in the Bible that it would be more useful to focus on other, more clear examples of anthropomorphism.

I acknowledge these

Mark 12:36 For David himself said by the Holy Ghost, The LORD said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool

1 John :7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one

But I don't use the word trinity, not like that helped any lol (sorry)

Sorry, you talk over my head alot, I thought the ISM was rather vague and very unfair, I can't imagine God getting ticked off and tossing you out of the church becauses of the use of soul in regards to him.

Define "all the details". And explain why should we limit our doctrines to gospels, only?
The Father is one God, the Son is one God and the Holy Spirit is one God. All three are co-equal, co-eternal and co-existent.

Where in the Bible does Jesus or any Apostle explain all these details?

I thought you are interesting in the issue of anthropomorphism as such... but it seems you are just talking about some tossing out of the church, which is something else.

The Father is one God, the Son is one God and the Holy Spirit is one God.
This is a weird formulation allowing tritheism. Not one another God, but the same one God.

Where in the Bible does Jesus or any Apostle explain all these details?
So, just the words of Jesus or "Jesus or any Apostle"? Do not move your goal posts.

.y experience has been in the triune ideology being defended by what is written in Matthew 28:19, Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit....

Because the three titles are listed, most don't realize the singular language.

Baptize in the name, not names of....
The name of God,who we're told is Holy and a Spirit that must be worshipped in Spirit, and the Son. Who is God,The Word, made flesh that dwelt among us.
Jesus was with God in the beginning because God was,in the beginning. And from God was Jesus begotten, made manifest, in the world.

Every atom, molecule, of every part of Jesus was of and from God. As is all that exists.

When people believe the Trinity is three separate and distance persons that are all God,the identity configured by the word, "separate", and the word, distinct, when it is also argued that which is separate and distance is still God. Which is why God, as Holy Spirit,God,and Jesus, separate, distance,is why trinity, triune, is
tritheism.

Three.
Separate.
And distinct.

A divine deific power that is separate and distinctly God, Holy Spirit, Jesus, is tri(3)theism.

When you say "God is not a separate person from the Holy Spirit..." it seems you do not understand Trinity.
I understand what is said, taught, about Trinity.
And it's wrong. God tells us this.
God is One.
paraphrasing) God is the only one and besides him,not beside him, there is no Savior.
I.E God is Savior. Not separate and distinct from Savior Jesus.
Scriptures tell us,God is a Spirit. Another passage says, God is Holy. Holy Spirit.
God is not a specific person. The Father is a specific person. God is one, persons are three, check the Shield of Trinity again to understand that.
The shield is manufactured to support what is not in scripture.

Yeah, ISMS I dont study them, I did a search on a list and that list came with this breif explanation of each one and there were a handful of the strangest ones. I forget which ones now, but that was one of them that stuck with me, I just forgot the name, which sounds like a long word spoken while eating pudding or something. Which I don't take seriously (no matter who would impose such a thing) Alot of them just seemed to be pulled out of their rearends. I wouldn't validate those, I would blow them off (but thats just me).
