That's not an argument. You were around in 2003, I assume. We were lied to by our government. We invaded Iraq under a false pretense.
It’s so funny how propaganda works.....you blame someone for something with no actual proof that they did anything to you, and then justify your own heinous response by attacking your own ideas.....and the result is popular public support for what was never true in the first place. it’s very clever marketing....
It’s the oldest trick in the book....perpetrate an attack on your own people and blame the one you want to attack for other reasons.....it gives public support for something that they never would have if the public knew the truth......don’t believe a thing you hear on the NEWS. The media are told what to say.
I don't condemn Israel for defending itself. I supported Israel defending itself after 10/7. However, it became clear that it wasn't self defense; Israel went on the offensive to develop Greater Israel. When this became apparent, I withdrew support.
I believe that it’s apparent why so called “Christian” nations want to support Israel...they believe that God will be with his people and they simply want to ride on their coattails....
Zechariah prophesied it.....
“Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘It will yet be that peoples will come, even the inhabitants of many cities. The inhabitants of one will go to another, saying, “Let us go at once to entreat the favor of the Lord, and to seek the Lord of hosts; I will also go.” So many peoples and mighty nations will come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem and to entreat the favor of the Lord.’ Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘In those days ten men from all the nations will grasp the garment of a Jew, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.” (Zech 8:20-23 NASB)
They are supporting the wrong “Israel”. (Gal 6:16)
The truth is, if God was with natural Israel, they would not need support from nations whose worship they despise and the savior they still reject....no nation, despite them being greatly outnumbered could ever defeat Israel if God was with them...
The principle in Rom 8:31 applies....
“If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Let me ask you this, do you support the United States paying to rebuild Gaza? Because that's an idea Trump has floated more than once. As someone that voted for him, this engages me.
Don’t we all want to see an end to the violence and needless bloodshed? Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if all the soldiers put down their weapons and told their leaders to go and fight their own battles....that the ones they have sent to war have had enough of the killing.....and losing their comrades...parents losing their sons and daughters...children losing their parents......and for what? An honoured place in a cemetery?
There was a song in the anti-war 60’s by a man named Donovan, called “The Universal Soldier”...google the lyrics of that song and see what he was saying......without soldiers doing the dirty work for their governments, who could fight a war? The catch cry of that era was ....”what if you were invited to a war....and nobody came”?
True worshippers of God will do what is prophesied in Isa 2:2, 4...
“And it shall come to pass in the end of days, [that] the mountain of Jehovah's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow unto it. And he shall judge among the nations, and shall reprove many peoples; and they shall forge their swords into ploughshares, and their spears into pruning-knives: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.” (DARBY)
Something to look forward to....for those without blood on their hands. (Isa 1:15)
