Trump has spent a lot of time berating and calling Zohran Mamdani a Communist, a far left radical Islamist who hates America/Israel, and yet his recent meeting with him went surprisingly well. The President has stated that it was a "great honor" to have met Mamdani and thinks he will be a really great mayor.

This meeting has obviously shocked lots of people on both Democrats and Republicans' side.

What do you guys think about this? Do you think Republicans will now support Mamdani now that the President has??

So Soros backed Mamdani (Mayor) and Israel backed Adams (Govenor)

I did a search asking if George Soros (who is Jewish) donates to Israel

George Soros does donate to organizations operating in Israel, though his contributions are primarily channeled through his Open Society Foundations (OSF) to civil society and human rights groups rather than direct support for the Israeli state or mainstream Jewish organizations. From 2006 to 2016, OSF provided an average of around $3 million annually to legal Israeli, Palestinian, and Arab-Israeli groups. These funds have supported NGOs that advocate for democracy, civil rights, and Palestinian rights, including organizations such as Adalah, B’Tselem, and the New Israel Fund.

However, Soros’s funding has drawn criticism from Israeli officials and some Jewish leaders, who argue that many of the recipient organizations are anti-Israel or support the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement. For example, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan condemned Soros’s donations, calling them “shameful,” and claimed they support groups seeking the destruction of Israel as a Jewish state. OSF has also funded groups like Al-Haq and Al Mezan, which have been designated as terrorist organizations by Israel and are alleged to have ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).

Soros has also contributed to J Street, a liberal pro-Israel lobby, including a $1 million donation to its PAC in 2022. Nonetheless, he has largely excluded traditional Jewish and Israeli causes from his broader philanthropy, focusing instead on progressive and human rights initiatives globally. His stance reflects a complex relationship with Israel—supporting democratic values and a two-state solution while criticizing policies he views as undemocratic.

It was Alex (the Son of George Soros) who backed Mamdani (as Mayor) not George (per say) but I betcha daddy Soros put in a good word (Hey, raise up a child in the way he should go...)

So how would that be looked at, 33% Jews voted for Mamdani (a Muslim, for Mayor of NY) while George Soros Son (who is Jewish, though not religiously) backs Mamdani, Eric Adams on the otherhand goes to Israel ( gets the tiny hat/ wall photo op) obtaining Israeli support for Govenor of NY by the same.

Trump is taking opportunity to turn down the heat. New Yorkers are Americans. What a great PR opportunity!

It may or may not have been spoken--he might have shown him a picture of his house :Broadly:-- But I am sure the message was understood, that Trump could squash him like a bug, or they could work together under certain stipulations. Trump probably started their conversation something like this:

"I'm just going to be straight with you and get right to the point. Without Federal funding you'll fail miserably...so I'm thinkin' you probably would like to work together--am I right? You want to go over some issues?--I actually like some of the things you've said!"

Yet you cannot deny this, and that Marjorie controversy and that Syrian leader visit and now his back and forth on Zohran Mamdani is genuinely confusing people on both sides.

He literally went from saying he should probably be "deported" to saying now he is a great and competent guy and leader....

She's not really saying anything contrary. It's a ploy. She's been reassigned, promoted. Time will tell.

To me the most revealing thing of the whole meeting is when Trump sorta grinned and said: "She's [Elise Stefanik] out there campaigning, and uh you know, you say things sometimes in a campaign." He acknowledges candidates say things during a campaign they know aren't true. Probably one of the only true things he's ever said.

Trump's open support of this man is very concerning.
Of course. It's crazy how many people think nothing of it and make excuses to push away the truth that is playing out in front of their eyes. But that's the nature of the beast .....literally.

Mere pleasantries. He shakes Putin's hand, is cordial, says he has good relations with him ( a ruthless, power and money hungry murderer). It's politics. You must appear friendly, cordial, open to negotiate ... on their side - especially after they win. Before they win, you sling mud at the enemy. When they win, YOUR attitude and strategies must revamp. You put aside the negatives. POLITICS.
Here's the thing, NY voted for him, they are 90% Dems - let them have him. He cannot legislate, he can only do so much and if the city continues to digress into darkness, he's finished. Trump knows, he's a mayor, a small fry. He claims to be a socialist, not a communist. How could one be a communist leader In a dominently capitalist city? And could he really do worse than Mayor Bill De Blasio?

people act so suprised . first politicians do say exactly what they THINK will please their people and get them the vote .
ALL DO THAT . and yeah ALL do lie too .
Secondarily TRUMP is not who his side nor the left thinks HE is .
YES the LEFT attaks him often for the wrong reasons
and the right seems to not care that JESUS IS and will be TROD UNDER FOOT .
the pr oblem is HOPE IN POLITICS and in men .
T RUMP , is a whole lot like OBAMA . now before you laugh till you cant breathe allow me to explain .
IT was not their approach to political issues they were alike on.
ITS THEIR BELEIF in the god they beleive in , the inclusive many path one .
JUST WAIT . even busch was like that , as were o thers .
TRUMP is all about WORLD peace , YES he has much pride too . no doubt about it .
He is not an ingnorant man , NOR was obama . nor even was harris ignorant .
THEY BELEIVE AS T HEY BELEIVE and one will marvel that they all do serve the same god .
Feel f ree to ask why i said god and N OT G OD .
THIS ecumeincal move , ITS ON BOTH Sides just done a bit differently yet its the same .
one god , on e world , one peace n safety . BUT seeing that god aint captilized
i darn sure would not heed it or them for advice .

You always keep your enemies close.
but that aint what JESUS taught .
These kings are all thinking the enemy of my en emy is my friend .
And we can friend our enemies and in the end they will submit to us .
That is how DELUSION gains the ground and the ground it does gain .
Tis a dog and pony show . People are ready for this next move .
T HEY are so ready to see the religoins and peoples uniting .
So weary with all the engineered bickering .
ONLY they cannot see the ultimate plan that seems so good , so common ground finding ,
OH my its the noose at the end of the rope . THE IRON YOKE COMETH
for mans hope is now only in men
and worse many in the churches have followed the same hope . beleiving tis in GOD and h is plan .
What a delusion i say , what a delusion has come upon this world and they will merge under
its love , its call for common ground . they will beleive as one mind and one heart
This is the way and the love of God and the plan for peace n safety in t his world .
ONLY , it was the plan of satan . not looking good at all .

Matthew 5:44 - Love your enemies. You write paragraphs and I'll post one verse, that I'm right.

Soros is a Jew by birth but is an affirmed atheist. He's also not going to donate to Israel because he's banned from there.

But this is still genuinely confusing and bewildering the Republican base...no one knows now whether they should do what he says or not at this point. Like is Mamdani good or bad??

If you buy into CNN and MSNBC's fake news, trying to manipulate and deceive, you'll be confused. Republicans aren't. Left-wing media wants you to think that.
