By which device anyone who loves Jesus Christ might lose their head matters very little, its more of a picture of those who loved not their lives unto the death. The way Jesus died (by crucifix) would indicate the Roman power at that time (unto whom he was handed over by the Jews then) likewise in our time those who belong to Jesus are shown in scripture being beheaded which would indicate the power most likely in place at that time (to whom they also be would be delieverd up/ and or handed over to) by whomever will do the same then.
