Come on, just go outside and look at the Moon. You can see the shape of the Earth on the Moon's surface - the curved shadow.

All that is needed is to understand elementary physics about how shadows are cast. Yes, there is some light behind the Earth, it is called the Sun.

Because the higher elevation (on Maui) allows for the observer to see the entire wreck which is far away; but the entire wreck isn't visible at sea level.

Have you seen videos where people pull ships back into view that are said to be "behind curvature" just by extreme amounts of zooming?

Which means, there's a curvature to the Earth.

Or, it just means the sea level perspective is too low to allow full visibility of the wreck. Of course you're not going to see the entire wreck at sea level. You're not seeing it from the same top-down perspective. You're seeing the face of it.

Yeah I've done that. And when I look at it, it's hard to believe we sent men there, which makes me question NASA more, who seems to be the leading agency that pushes the globe earth concept on us. Looking at the moon doesn't help me trust in mankind.

Well for me, more is needed. I'm not blindly accepting I'm looking at a shadow (perhaps the moon is its own unique light with an ambiguous/tricky pattern) ((God made a lesser light to rule the night)), and I don't blindly accept the shadows I see are from the objects people tell me they are from.

Back then the sunrise/sunset did not prove to them that the earth was round because they thought the sun and moon and stars orbited around the earth.

Galileo noted that if he looked at ship through a telescope as it came over the horizon he saw the masts first and the ship seemed to rise. That is how he knew the earth was round.

Most people know it. The firmament was a plateau elevation, and the stars would turn at or in at it. Heaven is a poor translation of the Hebrew שָׁמַיִם šāmay. Thus, the land is the "heavens" and the earth. I need to find the Hebrew for sky.
