Turn to Him while there’s still time. The One the world mocked is the only One who can save.
Jesus leads these( Matt 24:45) into all truth, at the proper time. They then share the truth with the flock( domestics). One MUST be taught by them. There is a lifetime full of information in Gods written word. What people have heard God say to them and then wrote down has been used by the Spirit of Truth. But to say that this is the only means He uses to lead us into ALL truth then this is false teaching.
There was a guy whose family had survived for generations on fish. (Truth). Then one day someone visited their remote island by boat and invited him to come with them to explore other islands. He said he can't because he would die of starvation as this trip would take weeks. (Part truth) When asked how he came to this conclusion he said. For generations we have lived off fish we have caught off our shores. (Truth) So in order to survive we must keep coming back to these shores to catch our food. (Untruth, lie, false teaching) The visitors then explained that while fish can be caught off his shores (truth) that there are way more eatable sealife beyond them (truth) And beyond the sea like chicken, duck, sheep ....(truth).
1 Cor 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
John 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Tell me, who has seen ALL of God and His qualities AND written them ALL down for others to learn and know?
The bible contains God's words from the past but certainly not all. As with the scriptures. You are dividing what Scripture does not divide. In the Bible, “His Word,” “Scripture,” and “My voice” refer to the same revealed truth spoken by God.
I'm surprised that you would ask this question. Of course Jesus Himself told us. And we who follow Him know this by experiencing a direct relationship with His Spirit.Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice… and they follow Me” ~John 10:27. But how can we hear His voice today?
Yes, they make up a fraction of what Jesus refered to when He said,Through the written Word He left behind. Jesus prayed, “Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth” ~John 17:17. The same God-breathed Word is called “Scripture” in ~2 Timothy 3:16 through 17. The Word, the voice of Christ, and the Scriptures are not three different authorities. They are one unified revelation.
No not at all my friend. When a human being turns away from drinking milk and eats solid food is not doing anything wrong or that is detrimental to their growth. To the contrary, when a parent introduced solids they are doing the right thing for their child. Same with God's words that come from His mouth. His Spirit delivers solids, deeper additional truths. Relevant specific truth that relates to the individual that are not found in the scriptures.Jesus said the very Word He spoke will judge us ~John 12:48. The Spirit brought those words to the apostles so they could record them faithfully ~John 14:26. What they wrote is Scripture. When you turn from Scripture, you are turning from His Word and His voice at the same time.
A very small percentage my friend. There is no conflict. The Bible reveals one authority. God’s voice is God’s Word, and God’s Word is found in the Scriptures.
Absolutely. God's expressed thoughts can be found in the scriptures. But all? Not even close.Yes, God has spoken many words but Scripture tells us exactly what He wants us to submit to. God has never called us to obey words He did not give us. He is calling us to submit to the Word He gave and preserved.
But there is so much more than doing good work. The scriptures don't tell us many details of how God created the angelic beings. How He subjected the universe to decay. Nor the names He gave to the planets. And He has so much more to reveal of Who He is that didn't make the cut when humans decided to close the canon of scriptures after many attempts. Actually there are still plenty of debate as to what should be added or removed from all the writings available.Scripture is said to be complete and fully sufficient. “All Scripture is breathed out by God… that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” ~2 Timothy 3:16 through 17. If Scripture equips us for every good work then we are not missing any of God’s requirements for faith and obedience.
Who said that the teachings the Father gave Jesus to teach had a hierarchy of importance?John 21: 25 simply means Jesus did far more than could be recorded. It does not mean His necessary teachings are missing.
And the same Spirit has been teaching the church and giving her God's words throughout her life direct, not only indirectly through historical writings.Jesus said “the Scripture cannot be broken” ~John 10: 35, and the Spirit made sure the apostles recorded what the church needed ~John 14:26.
Who was God talking to? Now therefore hearken, O Israel....Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.God warns us not to add or subtract from His Word ~Deuteronomy 4:2. If we are not to add or subtract then He gave us exactly what He wanted to.
Absolutely. Submit to every word that proceeds from the mouth of God not only a percentage of selected writings which only record a fraction of what He said and is continuing to speak to us. The Spirit Who Jesus sent to live in us is revealing God's word direct to our spirit. This is awesome! Personaly, I love listening to Him and hearing what He has to say direct to my spirit. The real issue is simple. Will we submit to the Scriptures God placed in our hands? That is the Word He commands us to hear, obey and follow.
What are you refering to in particular?3You are wrong yet again. The Bible never says what you are claiming.
I seek God and I find Him. I ask and i receive. I follow the Good Shepherd and i hear His voice. The Spirit leads me into more and more truth. I go into God's presence and He communicates His thoughts to me.God never tells us to “seek the unsaid words” or “unknown revelations”.
He gave those record words He communicated to mankind. And He continues to give new words, new instructions, new words of affection and affirmation to us Who He has chosen to be His children. He does tell us to live by His Word, and His Word He gives is the Word He preserved.
I've already answered this false assumption of yours.Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” ~Matthew 4:4. Where do we know those words? Jesus answered it Himself. He said the Scriptures are God’s Word, and they “cannot be broken” ~John 10:35. Paul said “All Scripture is God-breathed” and fully equips us for every good work ~2 Timothy 3:16 through 17. If Scripture fully equips us for every good work, then you are in error to claim we need something outside of it.
Pro 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.To call people “deceived” for believing what the Bible actually teaches is upside down. Scripture says to warn you not to add to God’s Word ~Proverbs 30:5-6. You are doing the very thing God forbids.
Of course they are. Every word of God that comes from Him is what we are to live by according to Jesus Who expressed God's thoughts to us when He was in human form and even more now that He's gone to be right beside God. Therefore Jesus said.... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.You are pointing people to words God never recorded and never authorized, and then acting like those unwritten words have equal authority.
'What we need, God preserved. What He did not preserve, we are not accountable for.'Jesus said the Word that will judge us is the Word He already spoke ~John 12: 48, and the Spirit brought those words to the apostles so they could write them down ~John 14:26. What we need, God preserved. What He did not preserve, we are not accountable for.
I certainly won't be adhering to your false doctrine. As you state that the scriptures are your only authorisation of truth, where in its texts does it actually say these words....quote 'if you reject the authority of the Scriptures, you are rejecting the only Word God gave you to obey'You are free to believe in extra “words”, but Scripture does not. And if you reject the authority of the Scriptures, you are rejecting the only Word God gave you to obey.
You are claiming that the Holy Spirit gives you new revelation that is not written in Scripture. That alone exposes your false teaching, because Scripture says the opposite. God says His Word is complete and sufficient. “All Scripture is God breathed… that the man of God may be complete” ~2 Timothy 3:16-17. Complete means nothing missing. If you say more is needed, you are contradicting God.The bible contains God's words from the past but certainly not all. As with the scriptures.
Jesus's words He spoke over a 33 year period are also God's words from history.
Jesus voice was heard over these 33 years and His voice continues to be heard to this day and to the end of this age.
I'm surprised that you would ask this question. Of course Jesus Himself told us. And we who follow Him know this by experiencing a direct relationship with His Spirit.
Jhn 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
Jhn 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Yes, they make up a fraction of what Jesus refered to when He said,
Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Relevant specific truth that relates to the individual that are not found in the scriptures.
A very small percentage my friend.
What you are teaching right now is false, and Scripture is clear about it. You are claiming new revelation from God that does not come from Scripture. The Bible says that is exactly how deception enters the church. “Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” ~Proverbs 30:6. When someone treats their own impressions as the voice of God, they are not operating in the Spirit. They are opening a door for lies.Absolutely. God's expressed thoughts can be found in the scriptures. But all? Not even close.
Obviously what has been preserved has been by the will of the sovereign God. As with so many other writings like the Palermo Stone, Instructions of Shuruppak, the Koran.
Actually there are still plenty of debate as to what should be added or removed from all the writings available.
Yes there certainly is most of God's expressed thoughts, His word, that is not in the scriptures for faith and obedience. God's instructions to me where to be vaccinated or not. This bought arguments and division within Christ's body. I had to get His will straight from the Spirit of God Who knows God's mind and thoughts.
Who said that the teachings the Father gave Jesus to teach had a hierarchy of importance?
John said, And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
One of the reasons Jesus came to earth was to teach and preach God's words. This was one of the things which Jesus did.
And the same Spirit has been teaching the church and giving her God's words throughout her life direct, not only indirectly through historical writings.
Who was God talking to? Now therefore hearken, O Israel....Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.
You asked what you are getting wrong. I will tell you plainly. Your entire argument rests on claims the Bible never teaches. You are presenting your own thoughts and impressions as if they were the voice of God, and Scripture says that is deception. What are you refering to in particular?
I seek God and I find Him. I ask and i receive. I follow the Good Shepherd and i hear His voice. The Spirit leads me into more and more truth. I go into God's presence and He communicates His thoughts to me.
Many many times God has invited me to seek Him, to spend undisturbed undistracted time with Him. To seek to know Him more.
And you have read what Jesus said 2000 years ago. “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
He gave those record words He communicated to mankind. And He continues to give new words, new instructions, new words of affection and affirmation to us Who He has chosen to be His children.
I've already answered this false assumption of yours.
Pro 30:5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
I fully agree with Solomon here that 'Every word of God is pure'. I love Him and His pure word.
Of course they are. Every word of God that comes from Him is what we are to live by according to Jesus Who expressed God's thoughts to us when He was in human form and even more now that He's gone to be right beside God. Therefore Jesus said.... I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. Jhn 16
'What we need, God preserved. What He did not preserve, we are not accountable for.'
When did God tell you this? He must have because its not in the scriptures or the bibles.
I certainly won't be adhering to your false doctrine. As you state that the scriptures are your only authorisation of truth, where in its texts does it actually say these words....quote 'if you reject the authority of the Scriptures, you are rejecting the only Word God gave you to obey'
Thanks for your concern my friend. But it's fine. The relationship the Spirit of God and I have is growing and developing each day. We consult what He has revealed in the past but interact more about what He brings up with me. God's Spirit engaging with my spirit. You asked what you are getting wrong. I will tell you plainly. Your entire argument rests on claims the Bible never teaches. You are presenting your own thoughts and impressions as if they were the voice of God, and Scripture says that is deception.
You said God is giving you “new words,” “new instructions,” and “new truth.” The Bible says God’s Word is already given and fully sufficient. “All Scripture is God breathed… that the man of God may be complete” ~2 Timothy 3:16 through 17. Complete means nothing missing. You are calling Scripture incomplete. God calls it complete. Only one of those can be true.
You said your inner impressions are God speaking directly. Scripture tells you your heart is not a reliable source. “The heart is deceitful above all things” ~Jeremiah 17:9. What rises inside you is not revelation. God’s Word is what God has spoken, not what you feel.
You said Jesus has “many more things” to reveal now as new doctrine. Scripture explains that passage. The Spirit guided the apostles into all truth so they could write it down. That truth is complete. God says He has already given “all things that pertain unto life and godliness” ~2 Peter 1:3. If all things are already given, then nothing is missing and nothing else is coming.
You said we are accountable to unwritten revelations that God “did not preserve.” Jesus said otherwise. “The word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day” ~John 12:48. Judgment is based on what Jesus already spoke, not on the new revelations you claim to receive.
You said the Spirit is revealing fresh doctrine today. Scripture never teaches this. Jesus said the Spirit would bring the apostles into remembrance of His words so they could record them ~John 14:26. That is the opposite of ongoing revelation. The Spirit illuminates what God already gave. He does not add to it.
You said rejecting extra revelation is rejecting God. Scripture says the opposite. “He that is of God hears God’s words” ~John 8:47. God’s words are the ones He spoke, preserved, and declared pure. When someone ignores those and replaces them with their own supposed revelations, Scripture says they are not hearing God at all.
You said every word you feel in your spirit is God speaking. Scripture calls that adding to God’s Word. “Add thou not unto His words, lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar” ~Proverbs 30:6. That is exactly what you are doing. You are equating your inner voice with God’s voice. That is spiritual danger, not spiritual maturity.
I am going to say this as plainly as Scripture says it.
What you are teaching is false.
It contradicts God’s Word.
It opens the door to deception for people who do not know Scripture well.
And you need to repent of it.
God gave us His Word. He preserved it. He completed it.
Anything beyond it is not from Him.
This is entering into the kingdom of God, hearing Him in our spirit and being led by the Spirit directly. This is fantastic! I enter into the kingdom of God with, by, though His Spirit Who is our Divine Guide. They are opening a door for lies.
You are presenting your inner thoughts as God’s Word. Scripture says “the heart is deceitful above all things” ~Jeremiah 17:9. That means your spirit is not a source of revelation. God’s Word is the only standard He tells us to trust. Anything beyond that leads people away from the truth. “Whoever goes beyond and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God” ~2 John 9. That is what you are doing. You are going beyond, and Scripture says that is not from God.
This is how the enemy misleads those who do not know the Scriptures well. They hear someone claim, “God told me,” and they assume it must be true. But God already said He has given us all we need for life and godliness ~2 Peter 1:3. When you claim more, you are not helping people grow. You are setting them up for deception.
You need to repent of this. God does not speak new revelation through you. He speaks through His Word. If you continue to claim otherwise, you are not walking in the truth. You are teaching falsely, and Scripture warns that those who do so will answer to God.
Turn from this. Submit to the Word God actually gave. Anything else is not from Him.
You are content with only playing exclusively in your 'Scripture' playground. I'm not interested in restricting myself to such a restrictive space. I will engage with others for a time in there but when they try to have me contained to it, I'm out of there. I'm free to explore with the Spirit of freedom and find God where He is, EVERYWHERE!If you believe God is giving you new authoritative revelation, show the verse. If you cannot show it from Scripture, then your claim has no biblical truth behind it
You speak falsehood from the watchtower religionJohn 3:16 speaks of the real Jesus. Only begotten= created direct first and last. ( Prov 8:22)= The firstborn of all creation( Coll 1:15-16)-All OTHER things created THROUGH( John 1:3-Coll 1:16) the being sent to Earth named Jesus as a mortal.
I share truths taught by Jesus in every translation on Earth yet trinitarians say he did not teach them. I have been kicked out of many trinity run sights for sharing those teachings. Yes those teachings are in their bible.
Making a false claims against Christ is not Truth.Jesus leads these( Matt 24:45) into all truth, at the proper time. They then share the truth with the flock( domestics). One MUST be taught by them. There is a lifetime full of information in Gods written word.
Truth was revealed on the matter of God or a god by Greek scholars long before the JW,s were around. (a god) is correct. You speak falsehood from the watchtower religion
God cannot be created = In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
the evil doctrines of jw created a false god by changing God's Word in saying: "the word was a god"
the name jehovah cannot save you from your sins - ONLY the Name above ALL names = LORD Jesus Christ
We listen to Jesus--You MUST pray then this way= Our Father.Making a false claims against Christ is not Truth.
Why does your religion deny you the Truth of praying to and worshipping the Lord Jesus Christ, that you may be saved???
ALWAYSWe listen to Jesus--You MUST pray then this way= Our Father.
It is very clear from Scripture that what you are talking about does not come from the Spirit of God. The Bible is very clear in saying the Holy Spirit does not lead a person away from the Word that He inspired. You freely admitted you “rarely consult the Scriptures these days”, yet you talk of “always hearing new revelation, a new direction” and “personal messages”. That alone is enough to know the source is not God. The Spirit of God leads people back to the Word, He never leads them away from it.Thanks for your concern my friend. But it's fine. The relationship the Spirit of God and I have is growing and developing each day. We consult what He has revealed in the past but interact more about what He brings up with me. God's Spirit engaging with my spirit.
In addition to this aspect of our intimate relationship is the understanding that for the most part He is just going ahead with the work of sanctification without my knowledge, ongoing consent or me being intentional.
Jesus, as a Shepherd communicates directly with His sheep. Thus is not a theory or a hope, He actually communicates with me in real time, relevant to what situation I'm in at the time.
I rarely consult the scriptures these days but at the same time the scriptures have shaped my life over 4 decades. So I'm not about to tell the Spirit what means He has to use to communicate with me. I'm certainly not going to tell the Vine how to function and how to nourish His branches. His words which I abide in have come through various means, nature, visions, fellow body members, scriptures, pictures. Ultimately it's up to the Gardener how He grows what He has planted.
He is the sovereign creative Potter Who does as He pleases and how He pleases with what belongs to Him. That is everything and everyone. Quite simple hey. So let's enjoy this journey as we continue on this exploration into God Himself. I love the fact that we have been given a Divine carpet on Whom we sit, Who is also our Divine Tour Guide as we go on this exciting expedition, exploring the mysteries of our Creator. This life is therefore GREAT!
What you just said proves exactly why this must be corrected. You are trying to hide your false teaching behind an accusation of “Pharisees,” but that has nothing to do with what is happening here. The Pharisees rejected the Word of God for the traditions of men. You are doing the same thing by rejecting Scripture in favor of inner voices and private revelations. That is not the kingdom of God. That is deception. This is entering into the kingdom of God, hearing Him in our spirit and being led by the Spirit directly. This is fantastic! I enter into the kingdom of God with, by, though His Spirit Who is our Divine Guide.
The Pharisees tied to stop people from entering into the kingdom of God. Sadly they didn't enter in themselves. I'd be sorry for you too should you follow in the steps of these Pharisees and miss out on the kingdom of God.
But that's not something I'll lose sleep over as God will ensure you carry out the role He as predetermined for you.
You are not following the Spirit of God. You are following the god of this world. Scripture says “the whole world lies in the power of the evil one” ~1 John 5:19. Any spirit that leads you away from the Word God breathed is not the Holy Spirit. It is a deceiving spirit. And unless you turn to the true and only God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus said, “He that rejects Me, and receives not My words, has one that judges him” ~John 12:48. Rejecting Christ’s words is rejecting Christ Himself. You are content with only playing exclusively in your 'Scripture' playground. I'm not interested in restricting myself to such a restrictive space. I will engage with others for a time in there but when they try to have me contained to it, I'm out of there. I'm free to explore with the Spirit of freedom and find God where He is, EVERYWHERE!
