Baptism is an outward sign of an inner conviction, it is not for us, but for others to show that we are committed to the church, that we are a part of the body. It is something my church used as a sign of membership in the church itself... You become a voting member of the church when Baptized. If you are not part of a local body baptism will seem unnecessary, but if you are it is essential. Baptism comes after salvation which is why I am a Baptist, immersion is preferable, but sprinkling is ok if immersion is not an option, the point is that we die to this world and are raised again in God's kingdom... Which is why immersion is preferable.

I Myself was baptized by sprinkling as a child into the Lutheran church, and baptized as a teenager into the Baptist church. I Am now not currently the member of any church, nor do i vote in the matters of any church, but if they were to require me to be baptized into a church i wanted to be a member of I would do so.

Sounds like you are taking up your cross daily, but are not a member of any church in particular therefore you do not see the immediate need for baptism.... The Holy Ghost will convict you when the time comes to be baptized, no man can argue you into it, or begrudge you for not doing so...

I don’t know why a water baptism would be required to vote. It would make more sense to me that a Holy Spirit baptism would get a vote. But it’s a moot point to me anyway. If men who have the fullness of the Spirit are present, why would they need to vote? I think they would do better to pray and draw straws if none of them could hear the Spirit yet. It sounds ridiculous to me for men who are baptized in water to vote on what to do rather than letting the Spirit lead and do what He wants and says to do. Voting sounds like of the World to me. It sounds like a decision made because there are no prophets hearing God and no members or elders hearing the Spirit…

Baptism relates to the death and resurrection to life. It's symbolic of dying and coming up from it.

Hello Siddhi,

"Darkness on the face of the deep" found in Genesis is part of the universe. After creating the heavens, earth, mankind and beast, plants, God said his creations were good. The word good is found after each created portion in the book of Genesis.

Satan is a dark spirit that sows deceptions to cause mankind to be harmed in some way and sometimes leading to their death. He is refered to as a deceptive muderer. Murder is considered killing for some evil reason or purpose. Bearing false witness against others is also a sin that can lead to someone's death.

Satan sows his seed of deceptions and false beliefs in peoples minds and hearts so that they are deterred from the God of light and truth.

Our Christian God, the father, son and holy ghost, are and is the one true God of life eternal. The way to the father God is with the son, Jesus the Christ. They together, with their holy spirit, spirits, are God Almighty.

The serpent in the garden tempted Eve and also that deception was given to Adam. A deception which was to disobey God's direction which is his word of truth. And in following that deception they became fallen and would have sorrow and eventual death. God's word is from him, the God of truth and life leading us out of false beliefs, deceptions and darkness. He leads us thru hope, faith and belief to follow the holy spirit and Christ's holy word to salvation. We have faith in the almighty power of the savior, Jesus the Christ, that his words are to be obeyed and followed as best we can, and he leads us to eternal life and resurrected glory of his eternal life and love for us.

2. The serpent, also called Satan, amoung other names, tricked Adam and Eve into a fallen state. Adam and Eve are the parents of all of mankind's people upon the earth. We, in ways, inherit that fallen state of a body that eventually grows old before we move on from this earthly life. We also inherit teachings passed down from parents to children, taught in societies, and other ideas that may also be fallen teachings, like deceptions and false beliefs.

Children are new and learn from who they see and hear from, interact with in various ways, as they grow older into adulthood.

3. Jesus atoned for mankind's fallen state to allow for the redemption and resurrection of mankind. If we take his loving hand in spirit and commandments, direction, he will lead us, and even carry us to eternal life, rest, and peace, in the life to come. God has much to offer us and many gifts for his children.

I do not think the Holy Spirit literally appears to people, its possible but highly unlikely. When God does something it has symbloic meaning. The Holy Spirit would not want you to get into a car crash. God speaks through His word and He shows up through our understanding of the bible.

Well, Jesus foretold those in Matthew 24. In a night vision I did see a rolling earthquake somewhere that looked like a town in Greece or Italy. I didn't know what a rolling earthquake was at that time. I haven't followed the earthquakes to see if one was a rolling earthquake or how often they occur.

ACCURATE DETAILED dreams dating natural disasters like the recent 7.6 Japan earthquake would only be known by the Father, Christ, HS.
