The way out of depression is to focus on Jesus. Consider his suffering for you and the joy that is to come.
Heb 12:2-3
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
Keep your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Hang the thoughts that depress you on the cross. Consider yourself dead to them:
Col 3:1-3 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Remember that the devil is an accuser. He not only accuses us before the throne. He also accuses God to us. He will say things like "God doesn't love you, if he did he would not let you suffer" Cast such thoughts down. Bring every thought that accuses God captive. A "stronghold" is a house made of thoughts that allows the enemy to have a place in our life. We can actually defend that stronghold by agreeing with the lies. Cast those thoughts down and the stronghold will dissolve and the enemy will flee.
2 Co 10:3-5 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Speak the truth in your heart. God loves you and gave all to redeem you. Get into the Word. This will set you free:
Jn 8:31-32 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Blessings!
