Sorry Marilyn, the nations mentioned in Daniel 2 Statue prophecy were the nations that had dominion over the land of Babylon up to around 120 BC when the Seleucid Empire decided to devastate and desolate the Land of Babylon by carrying the utility structures away along with its citizens and scattering both the utilities and people through the extremes of their dominion.Hi Jay,
As God said in His word that the King of Babylon was represented by the Gold Head, (Dan. 2: 38) and then in Dan. 3: 31 reveals that Darius the Mede took over, and later Greece, (Dan. 8: 21) and finally Rome, (Luke 2: 1) then it behooves us to take note of these great empires and see the final gentile rulership emerging.
And yes all are under the sway of the evil one, but limited to God`s timeline - the Times of the Gentiles (ruling the world).
Hi Jay,
You pegged me but talked to Doug. It does seem we are seeing the same `beast` rising across the world.

This was before the Roman Empire had any dominion over the middle east. The Roman Empire became dominate after/around 60 BC. This means that the Roman Empire never had dominion over the land of Babylon. Jeremiah in Jer 50:39 prophesied that Babylon would be devastated and desolated for a period of two ages.
39 "Therefore, the wild desert beasts shall dwell there with the jackals,
And the ostriches shall dwell in it.
Nor shall it be inhabited for a fixed period of time,
It shall not be dwelt in for two ages.Putting these two scriptures together the fourth segment of the Daniel 2 Statue prophecy was the newly establish nation of Iraq that was created in 1926 AD
In Revelation 16:19, we are also told this that happened in 1926 AD when France and Britian gave dominion over the land of Babylon to a new nation that was called Iraq.
Rev 16:19: - 19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.
As such the Roman Empire could not be the fourth segment of the Daniel 2 Statue. Logically the fifth Segment came into view when the USA and 19 other nations banded together to invade Iraq, i.e. the land f Babylon in 2003 AD
So, your continuation of the roman Empire as being the fourth segment of the Daniel 2 statue prophecy is false and could not have been envisioned before the start of the 20th century.
Telling of an understanding from over 600 years ago is very misleading particularly since the evidence points to anothe conclusion.
Shalom

The figure is still wrong based on my previous posts above.
Not sure what you are saying. From what I have read you & I seem to think the same. Can you please point out where we differ? The figure is still wrong based on my previous posts above.

That doesn`t make sense (to me). God`s word and history show that the Roman Empire was the next great empire after Greece. The Roman Empire is not associated with a Daniel 2 Statue Segment.
Yes, the roman Empire may have chosen to inhabit the dominion of the third beast, and displayed the dominate characteristic of the third beast, i.e. exerted dominion over other nations etc., but the Roman Empire is not one of the four beasts, it does manifest the third beast.

Your posts 29-32 are difficult to read because of the bible verses are each stacked instead of sentences spanning across the page. No-one is going to read through those posts formatted as they presently are.

Jay, my suggestion was constructive advice.Doug thanks for your put down under the guise of offering up advise.
Jay, my suggestion was constructive advice.
I did not read your posts 29-32 because they were formatted in a too difficult to read fashion.
No-one is going to read your posts for Jeremiah 30 from the NKJV translation.
Here is what Jeremiah 30 kjv looks like at the Bible hub site
Hi Jay,The Daniel 2 Statue dream/prophecy was initially given to King Nebuchadnezzar, and the statue was made up of five segments which would exercise dominion over the land of Babylon. The first three segments exercised dominion over the Land of Babylon.

Babylon is being rebuilt so it is NOT desolate YET.Continued from post 30
21 "Go against the earth, go up against Merathaim[5]
And against the inhabitants of Pekod.[6]Waste and utterly destroy them," says the Lord,"And do according to all that I have commanded you.22 A sound of battle is on the earth,
And of great destruction. 23 How the hammer of the whole earth has been cut apart and broken!
How Babylon has become a desolation among the nations!I have laid a snare for you; 24 You have indeed been trapped, O Babylon,
And you were not aware; You have been found and also caught,Because you have contended against the Lord. 25 The Lord has opened His armoury,
And has brought out the weapons of His indignation;For this is the work of the Lord God of hostsIn the country of the Chaldeans. 26 Come against her from the farthest border;
Open her storehouses;Cast her up as heaps of ruins,And destroy her utterly;Let nothing of her be left. 27 Slay all her bulls,
Let them go down to the slaughter.Woe to them! For their day has come, the time of their punishment. 28 The voice of those who flee and escape from the countryside of Babylon
Declares in Zion the vengeance of the Lord our God,The vengeance of His temple. 29 "Call together the archers against Babylon.
All you who bend the bow, encamp against it all around;Let none of them escape. Repay her according to her work;According to all she has done, do to her;For she has been proud against the Lord,Against the Holy One of Israel. 30 Therefore her young men shall fall in the streets,
And all her men of war shall be cut off in that day," says the Lord.31 "Behold, I am against you,
O most haughty one!" says the Lord God of hosts;"For your day has come,The time that I will punish you. 32 The most proud shall stumble and fall,
And no one will raise him up;I will kindle a fire in his cities,And it will devour all around him."
33 Thus says the Lord of hosts:
"The children of Israel were oppressed,Along with the children of Judah;All who took them captive have held them fast;They have refused to let them go. 34 Their Redeemer is strong;
The Lord of hosts is His name.He will thoroughly plead their case,That He may give rest to the earth,And disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.
35 "A sword is against the Chaldeans," says the Lord,
"Against the inhabitants of Babylon,And against her princes and her wise men. 36 A sword is against the soothsayers, and they will be fools.
A sword is against her mighty men, and they will be dismayed. 37 A sword is against their horses,
Against their chariots,And against all the mixed peoples who are in her midst; And they will become like women.A sword is against her treasures, and they will be robbed. 38 A drought is against her waters, and they will be dried up.
For it is the place of carved images,And they are insane with their idols.
39 "Therefore the wild desert beasts shall dwell there with the jackals,
And the ostriches shall dwell in it.Nor shall it be inhabited for a fixed period of time,It shall not be dwelt in for two ages.40 As God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah
And their neighbours," says the Lord,"So, no one shall reside there,Nor son of man dwell in it.
