It is the opinion of some that some of these are Gnostic. But that only means so much because we know so little about ancient Gnosticism because of its secretive nature. For example at the time the Gospel of John was considered Gnostic and that is why the text we have seems to have parts cut out of it. The Gnostics had no use for God the Father Yahweh or even the Old Testament. They thought Yahweh was a cruel or insane God. So they focused on Yeshua as the only true God and the Holy Spirit not as a God but the spirit of Yeshua. Before the Ecumenical Councils Gnosticism was neck to neck with what we would call main stream Christian beliefs.
