A representative for Alex Pretti's family confirmed Wednesday he is the man seen confronting ICE agents in a new video shot 11 days before his death.
Two U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents fired their weapons during Pretti's fatal shooting over the weekend, according to a government report sent to Congress and obtained by CBS News that does not mention Pretti reaching for his firearm. Those agents were wearing body cameras, officials say.
Minnesota officials said Pretti was a lawful gun owner with a permit to carry. He had no criminal record.

Multiple sources with direct knowledge of the situation told CBS News some at the Department of Homeland Security are increasingly concerned about the agency's reputation. Noem is facing internal scrutiny, but is not expected to lose her job, sources said. Bovino was demoted to a post outside Minnesota.

Alex Pretti did start to reach for his gun when he confronted ICE agents 11 days before he was shot.

He kicked the ICE vehicle and destroyed the rear passenger tail light. When an agent exited the vehicle to confront him, Alex Pretti reached back with his right hand. The gun holster clearly visible.

The agent was quicker than Alex Pretti's confidence to draw.

Given the crush of agents trying to subdue Alex Pretti 11 days later,and his violent unhinged behavior, all caught on camera, it cannot be stated with certainty that Alex Pretti did not reach for an agents gun. Or,have a second firearm on his person. He died as a violent ahole. He's no hero.

Trump stands against the illegal influx of criminals, cartels, terrorists,and others who mean us harm.
