To a religious person it would seem that Jesus only accepts those who know His name. This is used hypocritically to condemn all non-believers. And that very shallow viewpoint is seen as reasonable by...very shallow people. And it is dead wrong. The context is Israel...God's people. Not the world at large. All the warnings in the bible concern God's people. And believers in Christ, if they are truly believers, are now God's people. So the warning is extended from Israel in the flesh...to the upwardly called Israel in the Spirit.

Jesus came to Israel and was rejected. So the condemnation is on the original people of God. If you pay attention you will see the same condemnation coming on the Gentile people who also become God's people, but are no better than the original ones. Jesus called people to follow Him and most church-goers only follow themselves and whatever preacher tickles theirs ears with religious nonsense. God therefore selects a REMNANT from both Judah AND Ephraim. VERY few indeed. The ones who quibble over verses to justify themselves and condemn others are obviously NOT in the remnant.

We still love our fellow man with the LOVE of GOD .
And yet many have only the love of the world .
A key and huge difference is
the Love of GOD corrects and does not allow sin and unbelief to remain upon one .
The love of the world SCREAMS JUDGE NOT at those who do correct
and it allows sin to remain and even honors certain sins .
Something Most of the church no longer even knows .
You ever heard of the victim card that society played .

Not my opinion......it's the word of God. Bible says we are elect according to His foreknowledge, which means we were foreknown by Him. As I understand it, it is on that basis we are considered to be predestinated and appointed to eternal life etc.

Rom 8:29
For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters;


Rom 11:2
God has not rejected His people whom He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says in the passage about Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel?

Are you a Paulinean? What you have posted are passages from the epistles of Paul. Paul is not Jesus, who is the Savior.

These scriptures I posted were written by Paul, Peter and I think it was Luke who wrote Acts. I consider all new testament writings to be inspired word of God.
