Does that passage say He is a liar and all promises are false?Does Jesus disprove Hebrews 8:13?
And yet promises are not the old covenant. They were promises made by God that take nothing away from salvation or the New Testament. On the contraryAnd yet the old covenant was broken.
You are conflating promises of God with the old law and sacrifices etcThe new covenant was given based on better promises.
@amigo de christothe new covenant the new testament . ITS THE SAME thing . this other fellow is messing things up my friend .
just like many do with the idea there are two gospels , one for the jew and one for the gentile. NOPE its the same GOSPEL
and every single apostel preached it . Just like they preach two kingdoms , kingdom of GOD , Kingdom of heaven .
BUT NOPE ITS THE SAME ONE .
People listen to men way too much that twist things .

Ibelieve the US is focused on defending Israel because of eschatology. The cry coming the evangelical and charismatic/pentecostal majority in America is fairly strident.
People are being called racist and homophobic if they are calling for tougher immigration policies and are anti-alphabet and woke liberalism.
But what's the difference when others are accused of being racist because they don't support Zionism. Or accused of being anti-semetic. Same old accusations that were thrown about at "vaccine" rejecters.
Yeah well. It's happening, whether you like it or not.
An image of the papal beast being erected in the US under your nose and you can't see it. When they start legislating worship and persecuting those who refuse to honor Sunday, will you understand then or join in the fun?
So that's what "better" means to you.Does that passage say He is a liar and all promises are false?
Better refers to Jesus dying for our salvation, which is better than the old law and sacrifices etc. Zero to do with cancelling wonderful promises. So that's what "better" means to you.
Sad.
How's that silver?![]()
That's your limitation.Better refers to Jesus dying for our salvation, which is better than the old law and sacrifices etc. Zero to do with cancelling wonderful promises.
verily verily i say unto thee before abraham was I AM .Was the old covenant Jesus' words?
No. The promises of God are yea and amen and without fail. Eternal. None of all His good promises vanished or became lies when he died for us also. That's your limitation.
Your limitation is not in Scripture.

You missed all and him.No. The promises of God are yea and amen and without fail. Eternal. None of all His good promises vanished or became lies when he died for us also.
Context. He is alive now and continues to fulfill promises and always will. All promises. When Israel is saved in the end Jesus brings them back to the land. Jesus slays their enemies. Jesus is of course the fulfillment. He is God.You missed all and him.
2 Corinthians 1
20 For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.
Present tense.
In him are yea and Amen.
He is now the fulfillment of all the promises of God.
No mention of Israel, because he is the fulfillment of all.
Christ alone is the Heir of all things. Hebrews 1:1,2Context. He is alive now and continues to fulfill promises and always will. All promises. When Israel is saved in the end Jesus brings them back to the land. Jesus slays their enemies. Jesus is of course the fulfillment. He is God.
Yes heir of the world and etc. That does not mean He lied in promising things. It means He has the power to fulfill His promises.Christ alone is the Heir of all things. Hebrews 1:1,2
Believers are heirs.Israel is not an heir. She inherits nothing.
To believers, God offers not land, but the immeasurably better promise of an immeasurably better country, namely heaven (Hebrews 11:16; 1 Peter 1:4).Yes heir of the world and etc. That does not mean He lied in promising things. It means He has the power to fulfill His promises.
Believers are heirs.
Romans 8:17
And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ;
Saved Israel will inherit the land promised by God.
To Israel believers He promised lands and restoration. Salvation too! It is not one or the other. His promises are like icing on the cake of salvation. To believers, God offers not land, but the immeasurably better promise of an immeasurably better country, namely heaven (Hebrews 11:6; 1 Peter 1:4).
What qualifies as the better promise? To Israel believers He promised lands and restoration. Salvation too! It is not one or the other. His promises are like icing on the cake of salvation.

Christ alone is the Heir of all things. Hebrews 1:1,2
Israel is not an heir. She inherits nothing.
What qualifies as better. Both! (or just one)? What qualifies as the better promise?
1. Land
2. Heaven
