(raises hand)
I will! I will!
Psalm 110:1
The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
At this time however?
However? I believe we are at this stage:
2 Thessalonians 2:
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

And we certainly can see (those eyes that can see, and ears that can hear) this falling away!
Like a runaway hell bound train! Running downhill!.........WITH a tail wind!

"Yah'-uh-'Vay" BLESS Israel!

Perhaps your post is applicable. Yes, we should be Blessing the Nation of Israel, however at this point in time some in the Nation of Israel are trying to force God's hand into redeeming them, by reclaiming a parcel of land that was torn from them for their continual idolatrous worship around 70 AD..

So you think Israel should just let their enemies murder them? As they have been trying for decades.

Are you denying God's prophetic words to the Nation of Israel in Leviticus and Deuteronomy as to what would happen to them if they turned away? I certainly am not ignoring God's words in these two books from the OT.

It's God's land and He's restoring Israel as we speak

The promise land is much larger than the land occupied by modern day Israel.

Just wait until the Lord causes modern day Israel to take back more land!

You think the liberals are upset at Israel now? You ain't seen nuthin yet, and it's just around the corner.

What you are missing here is it's the Lord directing what you think is Israel trying to force God's hand.

What we are seeing now is the lead up to the Pslams 83 war which results in Israel gaining a lot of new territory

That's exactly what the liberals want to see right there.

They are racist against the Jews and want to see them all murdered.

Hitler would be proud of these people.

Even before I was a Christian I always like rooting for Israel... they were always the underdog that came out on top even in the face of impossible odds and when it looked like they were about to be destroyed they would come out on top (thinking of the wars in the 60s and 70s when I was a kid hearing about this stuff on the news that gave the the blues)

The 67 war was incredible! God FOUGHT for tiny Israel against 7 COWARD Arab Nations! A true miracle. And they recovered Jerusalem.

The Lord says that He is replacing the Mosaic Law with the age of Grace.

Jeremiah 31:31-34 - “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the Lord. 33 “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” declares the Lord, “I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 They will not teach again, each man his neighbor and each man his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them,” declares the Lord, “for I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

This happened at Pentecost. The Church age began and the Mosaic law ended, as well as Jewish teaching.

Then why did God bring them Home?

Genesis 15:16 states this: -

Genesis 15:16: - 16 But in the fourth generation/age they shall return here, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete."

Does this verse indicate any activity by God in the 1948 return of some of Abraham's descendants to the Land of Canaan? The answer is a resounding "NO."

You didn't answer my simple question. Do you think Israel should let their enemies slaughter them as they have been trying for decades?

What was God's message to the nation of Israel in Lev:26: -

Lev 26:1-27:1: - Promise of Blessing and Retribution
(Deut 7:12-24; 28)
26:1 'You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God. 2 You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the Lord.
3 'If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments, and perform them, 4 then I will give you rain in its season, the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit. 5 Your threshing shall last till the time of vintage, and the vintage shall last till the time of sowing; you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely. 6 I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and none will make you afraid; I will rid the land of evil beasts, and the sword will not go through your land. 7 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you. 8 Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.
9 'For I will look on you favourably and make you fruitful, multiply you and confirm My covenant with you. 10 You shall eat the old harvest, and clear out the old because of the new. 11 I will set My tabernacle among you, and My soul shall not abhor you. 12 I will walk among you and be your God, and you shall be My people. 13 I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; I have broken the bands of your yoke and made you walk upright.
14 'But if you do not obey Me, and do not observe all these commandments, 15 and if you despise My statutes, or if your soul abhors My judgments, so that you do not perform all My commandments, but break My covenant, 16 I also will do this to you: I will even appoint terror over you, wasting disease and fever which shall consume the eyes and cause sorrow of heart. And you shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it. 17 I will set My face against you, and you shall be defeated by your enemies. Those who hate you shall reign over you, and you shall flee when no one pursues you.
18 'And after all this, if you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins. 19 I will break the pride of your power; I will make your heavens like iron and your earth like bronze. 20 And your strength shall be spent in vain; for your land shall not yield its produce, nor shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21 'Then, if you walk contrary to Me, and are not willing to obey Me, I will bring on you seven times more plagues, according to your sins. 22 I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate.
23 'And if by these things you are not reformed by Me, but walk contrary to Me, 24 then I also will walk contrary to you, and I will punish you yet seven times for your sins. 25 And I will bring a sword against you that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; when you are gathered together within your cities I will send pestilence among you; and you shall be delivered into the hand of the enemy. 26 When I have cut off your supply of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall bring back your bread by weight, and you shall eat and not be satisfied.
27 'And after all this, if you do not obey Me, but walk contrary to Me, 28 then I also will walk contrary to you in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29 You shall eat the flesh of your sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your daughters. 30 I will destroy your high places, cut down your incense altars, and cast your carcasses on the lifeless forms of your idols; and My soul shall abhor you. 31 I will lay your cities waste and bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet aromas. 32 I will bring the land to desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it. 33 I will scatter you among the nations and draw out a sword after you; your land shall be desolate and your cities waste. 34 Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies' land; then the land shall rest and enjoy its sabbaths. 35 As long as it lies desolate it shall rest — for the time it did not rest on your sabbaths when you dwelt in it.
36 'And as for those of you who are left, I will send faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a shaken leaf shall cause them to flee; they shall flee as though fleeing from a sword, and they shall fall when no one pursues. 37 They shall stumble over one another, as it were before a sword, when no one pursues; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies. 38 You shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall eat you up. 39 And those of you who are left shall waste away in their iniquity in your enemies' lands; also in their fathers' iniquities, which are with them, they shall waste away.
40 'But if they confess their iniquity and the iniquity of their fathers, with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to Me, and that they also have walked contrary to Me, 41 and that I also have walked contrary to them and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled, and they accept their guilt — 42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and My covenant with Isaac and My covenant with Abraham I will remember; I will remember the land. 43 The land also shall be left empty by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; they will accept their guilt, because they despised My judgments and because their soul abhorred My statutes. 44 Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, nor shall I abhor them, to utterly destroy them and break My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God. 45 But for their sake I will remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God: I am the Lord.'"
46 These are the statutes and judgments and laws which the Lord made between Himself and the children of Israel on Mount Sinai by the hand of Moses.
NKJV

Perhaps you have been looking for your understanding from the wrong part of the scriptures.

Shalom

Read Lev 26 above in a previous post.

Here is PS 83: -
Ps 83:1-8: - Prayer to Frustrate Conspiracy Against Israel
A Song. A Psalm of Asaph.
83:1 Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
2 For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
3 They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
4 They have said, "Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more."
5 For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:
6 The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
7 Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
8 Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot.
NKJV
Perhaps this is applicable to the present time until the Kings of the earth are judged at Armageddon.

All this focus on national “Israel” when they are not “the Israel of God”. (Gal 6:16)
God chose a new “Israel” because the track record of this nation descended from Abraham could never honour a single covenant that God made with them....why would he continue with them and simply put up with more disobedience? His patience has limits as he demonstrated with Moses after the golden calf incident....

“Jehovah now said to Moses: “Go, descend, because your people, whom you led up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. 8  They have quickly deviated from the way I commanded them to go. They have made for themselves a statue of a calf, and they keep bowing down to it and sacrificing to it and saying, ‘This is your God, O Israel, who led you up out of the land of Egypt.’” 9  Jehovah went on to say to Moses: “I have seen that this is an obstinate people. 10  So now let me be, and I will exterminate them in my burning anger, and let me make a greatnation from you instead.”

He had just delivered these people from slavery in Egypt with miraculous events....and when it seemed that Moses was somehow taking too long in the mountain, they reverted to idol worship.....incurring God’s anger and his wish to “exterminate them”....think about that.

John B assured the Jews that genealogy doesn’t matter......being related to Abraham wasn’t the main thing at all....he told them....
“Do not presume to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I say to you that God is able to raise up children for Abraham from these stones. 10  The ax is already lying at the root of the trees. Every tree, then, that does not produce fine fruit is to be cut down and thrown into the fire.”

And Peter assures is that...“that God is not partial, 35  but in every nation the man who fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him.” (Acts 10:34-35)

You are looking to the wrong “Israel” if you think God is supporting genocide in a land saturated in blood and religious hatred......”the Israel of God” are God’s elect...those chosen to be “a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” to rule with Christ in heaven....what is holy about a nation about whom Isaiah was inspired to write....

“And when you spread out your palms,
I hide my eyes from you.
Although you offer many prayers,
I am not listening;

Your hands are filled with blood.”

Open your eyes and see that 1948 was a red herring....the devil has you all looking at the wrong Israel!

You are supporting a nation that God has rejected. Individuals who come to Christ from that nation are as welcome as any other, but there is no way for National Israel, (as a kingdom of this world, fighting other kingdoms of this world with help from foreign powers) to give up her bloodshed.....she will fight to retain her own sovereignty, rather than relinquish it to those she hates...or more importantly, to the King of God’s Kingdom. The Jews of today are as proud and stubborn as they always have been.....they still hate Christians, but will use them to fight their battles for them.

If God was with Israel, no human military force would be needed. He alone defeated their ancient enemies although they were completely outnumbered.

Wake up and see what is really going on....

I believe Israel has the right to defend itself. They don't have the right to call the USA into war with Iran on false pretenses.
I agree that they have a right to defend themselves and we should support them as allies, but that's it. When Jesus returns, He is going to destroy the Earth and create a new heaven and Earth.

Do you still not see.....the worldly nation of Israel is not “the Israel of God”, and yes it can defend itself all it wants as part of the world that Jesus told us NOT to be a part of.....you can’t seem to see the line of demarcation between the worldly Israel and spiritual Israel.....not the same at all....not even close!

You are supporting an Israel that God has abandoned.....he adopted new sons to replace them and the arguments against that are without Scriptural foundation. Jesus told the Pharisees that they were “from their father the devil” and ‘wished to do his desires’.....Israel retains their old beliefs and are still under the old covenant which Jesus abolished.

What did Jesus say?
“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you did not want it. 38  Look! Your house is abandoned to you. 39  For I say to you, you will by no means see me from now until you say, ‘Blessed is the one who comes in Jehovah’s name!’”
Jesus was quoting Psalm 118:26 which in Hebrew contains God’s name YHWH which the Jews refused to utter.

Oh, no I'm not. I know Israel is a pagan nation. Christians are Christians and pagans are pagans. God had the northern kingdom of Israel destroyed by Assyria and exiled and changed the name to Samaria and God wanted nothing more to do with Israel. So they have taken the name of Israel again. But they are now a mixed race like the Samarians which the Jews hated, and the Jews in current Israel hate Christians. That demarcation line is pretty clear. However it was prophesied that Jews would return the land in the end times, just not with God's help.
